Palliative Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Start date: June 1995
Phase: Phase 3

NCT ID: NCT00002793 Active, not recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Chemotherapy Via an Implantable Pump Compared With a Subcutaneous Port for Unresectable Liver Metastases in Patients With Resected Colorectal Cancer

Start date: January 1991
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug or giving the drugs in different ways may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of chemotherapy administered via an implantable pump with a subcutaneous port for unresectable liver metastases in patients with resected primary colorectal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00002692 Active, not recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Intravenous Compared With Intrahepatic Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Colorectal Cancer Metastatic to the Liver

Start date: December 1994
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of intravenous infusion or intrahepatic infusion of fluorouracil and leucovorin in treating patients with colorectal cancer metastatic to the liver.

NCT ID: NCT00002455 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Immunotherapy After Surgery in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, or Melanoma

Start date: April 1971
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Immunotherapy uses different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop cancer cells from growing. Immunotherapy biological extracts may be useful as adjuvant therapy in treating patients who have had surgery for breast cancer, colon cancer, or melanoma. PURPOSE: Phase III trial to study the effectiveness of Corynebacterium granulosum extract as maintenance immunotherapy following surgery in treating patients with breast cancer, colon cancer, or melanoma.
