NCT ID: NCT03890133 Recruiting - Fibromyalgia Clinical Trials

Exploration the Mechanism of Ba-Duan-Jin Therapy in the Management of Fibromyalgia

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic debilitating musculoskeletal pain syndrome. "Central sensitization" is an important mechanism of the disease. Recent studies have shown that "microbiome-gut-brain axis" imbalance may be one of the important mechanisms of "central sensitization". The purpose of this study was to investigate the therapeutic mechanism of Ba-Duan-Jin therapy in the treatment of fibromyalgia by improving intestinal microecology. The mechanism was evaluated by comparing the results of brain functional MRI (fMRI) and microbacterial analysis of the patients' stool pre and post treatment .

NCT ID: NCT03890848 Recruiting - Rehabilitation Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Effects of Home-based Functional Exercise on Patients With ACL

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effect of home-based functional exercise on patients with anterior cruciate ligament rupture reconstruction based on the health belief model. About 360 participants will be randomly allocated into two groups. One group will randomized to receive precautions and rehabilitation progress reminders and other news by optimized WeChat applet regularly, while the other group will randomized to receive the rehabilitation exercise guidance during routine discharge.

NCT ID: NCT03891277 Recruiting - Iron-deficiency Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Ferrous Iron on the Prevention of Vascular Cognitive Impairment Among Patients With Cerebral Infarction/TIA (FAVORITE)

FAVORITE
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The prevalence of Vascular Cognitive Impairment(VCI) is high in patients after ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack(TIA) . Effective therapy for the prevention of VCI remains limited. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ferrous iron versus placebo on the prevention of vascular cognitive impairment among patients with ischemic stroke/TIA complicated with Hemoglobin deficiency.

NCT ID: NCT03891433 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Urinary Tract Infections

Piperacillin/Tazobactam Versus Carbapenems in Non-bacteremic UTI Due to -ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae

CAPITIS
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates the efficacy in achieving clinical cure in non-bacteremic urinary tract infections (UTI) caused by Escherichia coli or Klebsiella pneumoniae producers of extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL) in adult patients. Half of participants will receive Piperacillin/Tazobactam as treatment, while the other half will receive Carbapenems. The investigators will verify that Piperacillin/Tazobactam is not inferior in achieving clinical cure, and that is not associated with a higher risk of adverse events in the directed treatment of non-bacteremic UTI compared to Carbapenems. The researchers hope to improve the use of antibiotics in the non-bacteremic UTI, reducing the "collateral damage" related to a deterioration in the prognosis of patients and the generation of resistant germs caused by the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics as carbapenems.

NCT ID: NCT03895294 Recruiting - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Effect of Strategies for the Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C in Colombia

HEPCSTRATEGY
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hepatitis C is a public health problem and the high cost of the Direct-Acting Antivirals (DAA) is one of the main limitations for treatment worldwide. In Colombia, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MoHSP) has made progress in addressing Hepatitis C problem in order to control the infection and resolve barriers to access to medicines. One of the strategies implemented was the purchase of DAA, in association with the PAHO, and the instauration of the Clinical Pathway for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C. The implementation of the Clinical Pathway has required the integration of health care processes and the respective report in the health information systems, allowing a high level of control in the monitoring of the Hepatitis C and the subsequent generation of indicators. However, there is limited information on the effects of the strategic purchase and the instauration of the Clinical Pathway on the costs of care, clinical outcomes and the quality of health care for patients with Hepatitis C in Colombia. The aim of this study is to establish the effect of strategic purchasing and the Clinical Pathway for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis C, in the clinical results, in the general costs and quality of health care of Hepatitis C patients in Colombia.

NCT ID: NCT03897478 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Biomarkers of Acute Stroke in Clinic

BASIC
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The proposed study will investigate the clinical use of the ISCDX test that may differentiate between diverse stroke etiologies as listed below: Aim 1: Differentiate between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic ischemic strokes, when hemorrhagic stroke is ruled out, as defined by TOAST classification of subtypes of acute ischemic stroke. Aim 2: In cases of ischemic strokes of unknown or "cryptogenic" etiology, determine the ability of biomarker blood tests to predict etiology between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic.

NCT ID: NCT03898856 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Diarrhea of Unknown Origin

Yield of Diagnostic Tests and Effects of Crofelemer for Chronic Idiopathic Diarrhea In Non-HIV Patients

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug Crofelemer in the treatment of non-HIV patients with chronic idiopathic diarrhea; to determine the prevalence of identifiable causes of chronic diarrhea in a non-HIV patients; to assess the diagnostic yield, in terms of identification of treatable etiologies, of commercially available diagnostic evaluations in adult, non-HIV patients with chronic idiopathic diarrhea, that is, evaluate which tests, among the standard diagnostic tests commonly conducted as part of the evaluation of chronic idiopathic diarrhea, are most likely to identify a treatable cause of the diarrhea; and to analyze the relationship between chronic idiopathic diarrhea and health-related quality of life and assess the impact of crofelemer treatment on health-related quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT03901859 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
