On the basis of the now consolidated literature and clinical experience of focal therapies, the execution of partial prostatectomy/hemiprostatectomy with robot-assisted laparoscopic technique can be proposed in a well-selected cohort of patients. The hypothesis is that with this technique it is possible to achieve excellent levels of disease control, in terms of positive surgical margins (PSM) and biochemical recurrence of the disease (BCR), against a minimal impact as regards postoperative functional outcomes (continence and sexual power).
Single-center, retrospective observational study to evaluate the implementation of early molecular diagnosis of sepsis using SeptiCyte and BCID2 in 120 critically ill patients with suspected sepsis without clear focus and requiring antimicrobial treatment. The main objective is to evaluate the performance of these molecular techniques with respect to routine clinical practice and their impact on the optimization of antimicrobial treatment in this group of patients.
Comparison of treatment efficacy of Epley maneuver and 360 maneuver in a mechanical rotational chair (TRV chair) in patient with posterior benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
The purpose of this study is to develop an application: MS Falls Insight Track (MS FIT) which allows patients to log their falls and near falls, view their MS relevant data and responses to the clinic intake survey as well as communicate with their care team about falls and receive educational material on falls prevention.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between long-term use of systemic steroids in patients with upper and lower respiratory tract diseases and their own production of cortisol (cross-sectional), as well as whether those with low cortisol levels have an impact on bone density. As patients with CRSwNP have a high use of steroids, they routinely undergo a DEXA scan at the Respiratory Clinic, Department of Ear-Nose-Throat Surgery and Audiology (ENT) - Rigshospitalet (RH) to examine whether their bone density and structure are affected. The scan will be included as a clinical secondary outcome to assess whether systemic steroid use has an impact on this. The purpose of the study is therefore to compare steroid intake, baseline P-cortisol, the body's response to ACTH (measured by cortisol levels after the test), and bone density in patients with chronic sinusitis (CRS) with and without asthma in an unselected population at the Respiratory Clinic (cross-sectional). In addition, at the 4-month follow-up (exploratory follow-up, pilot project), it will be investigated whether good adherence (>80%) to inhalation therapy (nasal steroid and lung steroid) and additional treatment with biologicals has a negative effect on the body's own production of P-cortisol.
The purpose of this study is to refine, implement and assess the acceptability and feasibility of an existing nutrition intervention applied to people living with dementia receiving home care.
Hemodialysis complex treatment regimen includes fluid and diet management. In this context, it is recommended that patients choose foods with low sodium, potassium and phosphorus content, maintain adequate protein intake, and regulate their daily fluid intake not exceeding 1-2 liters. In maintaining the health of hemodialysis patients; It is very important that they comply with the treatment program, diet and fluid restrictions. As the life expectancy increases, the time spent with chronic disease also increases, and both the patient himself and his relatives living in the same house are faced with this chronic disease and accompanying stress factors for a longer period of time, making it difficult for them to adapt to the progression of the disease. Pecha Kucha (PK), meaning "chat voice" or "chat" in Japanese, refers to a well-crafted, fast and concise presentation format. In a PK presentation, each presenter is only allowed to show 20 PowerPoint slides for 20 seconds each on a timer. When the literature was examined, no study was found that evaluated the effect of the education given to hemodialysis patients with the Pecha Kuka method on the attitude towards diet therapy and compliance with fluid restriction. In addition, it is thought that this short and concise education method will contribute to a better understanding of the attitudes of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment towards diet therapy and their compliance with fluid restriction, thus providing important data for future studies.
The goal of this interventional study is to learn about the clinical outcomes of acute ischemic stroke treated with mechanical thrombectomy resulting in a selective ischemia of the basal ganglia. The main question it aims to answer is: • defining the prevalence and clinical features of possible cognitive, motor and sleep disfuncions occuring after acute ischemic stroke treated with thrombectomy Participants will be tested for cognitive, movement and sleep disorders in the acute phase and successively in the long term follow-up.
This is an open-label, single arm study to evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with CT0594CP CAR-T Cells in patients with relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma or Plasma Cell Leukemia
This clinical trial evaluates the feasibility of performing oxygen-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to generate hypoxia maps in patients with intracranial tumors. Decreased levels of oxygen (hypoxia) is a hallmark of malignant brain tumors. Chronic hypoxia is a stimulator of blood vessel formation, which is required for tumor growth and spread. Hypoxia also limits the effectiveness of radiation and chemotherapy. MRI is an imaging technique that uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field rather than x-rays to provide detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues. The administration of inhaled oxygen allows for an increased MRI signal effect size. Oxygen-enhanced MRI may be a non-invasive method that can physiologically estimate tissue hypoxia. With a better understanding of the extent of tumor hypoxia, more effective and patient-specific therapies could be devised to halt malignant tumor growth.
