Filter by:The aim of the proposed study is to define an independent parameter for the diagnostic assessment of the perfusion situation of the calf muscle based on Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT) in a cross-sectional collective of healthy volunteers and patients with PAD. The gold standard is a previously performed angiography of the pelvic and femoral vessels based on routine diagnostics, this Imaging is not mandatory for healthy Control group (study group 1). An independent validation group (study group 2) will validate the results found in study group 1.

Diseases with vascular malformations are rare and often congenital, affecting patients of all ages. Depending on their extent and localization, they can cause discomfort and, especially if activity is restricted, lead to loss or reduced quality of life. The therapy is usually reserved for a few specialized centers and includes interventional sclerotherapy as well as conservative therapy by compression with appropriate compression stockings. However, there are currently no study-based recommendations for this approach. The aim of this study is to prove a therapeutic effect of compression therapy using flat-knitted compression stockings on venous malformations of the extremities and to derive from this a therapy recommendation in connection with an improvement in the health status and quality of life. For this purpose, patients with a confirmed venous malformation of the upper or lower extremity independent of previous therapy will be included. We will investigate patients with epi- and/or subfascial localization of the venous malformation independent of the local extent (cross-articular or not).
This study is a prospective, multicenter, parallel, open-label, randomized, controlled, superiority trial. It is planned to recruit 8,250 patients with multi-vessel disease(MVD), and the patients will be followed-up for at least 12 months after being implanted with a drug-eluting stent (DES) at one of 100 different centers. All patients will be randomly divided into the treatment group and control group on a 1:1 basis, based on a complete randomization.
This is a Phase 2 trial that will test the efficacy and safety of crizanlizumab for the treatment of retinal vasculopathy with cerebral leukoencephalopathy (RVCL), a very rare and uniformly fatal genetic condition that affects the microvasculature, especially of the brain and eye. There currently is no treatment for RVCL. A maximum of 20 patients will be enrolled.
Annually, 150-200 TAVR with unilateral large bore access and 200 combined TEVAR/EVAR/FEVAR with bilateral large bore access are performed at our institution. Nearly 50 percent of patients fall outside IFU for access vessel size. Adjuncts described include iliac conduit, crack and pave, balloon expandable sheaths, direct aortic puncture, transcaval delivery, alternative access point (i.e axillary, carotid). Each of these adjuncts comes with additional complication potential and by nature of being used less frequently than the standard femoral access makes the procedure more challenging. The intervention the use of the Shockwave Medical, Inc. Peripheral Lithoplasty® System to achieve large bore access in patients whose vessels fall outside of the IFU suggested dimensions.
This is a single-center observational study on adolescents to determine predictors of the early steps of the formation of atherosclerosis and to quantify their influence on Intima-Media-Thickness of the carotid artery and the aorta and on the Pulse-Wave Velocity. A long-term follow-up by means of record linkage is furthermore planned to evaluate the effect of early atherosclerosis and the cardiovascular risk profile on future morbidity with a special focus cardio- and cerebrovascular events.
The French Ministry registered the Fenestrated Anaconda ™ on the List of Reimbursable Products and Services (LPPR) by the French Health Insurance on February 2018 for a duration of 5 years, while taking up the conditions for carrying out the act recommended by the CNEDiMTS (Committee in charge of medical device review), namely the carrying out of a post-registration study for the renewal of the authorization. This renewal of registration is conditioned by the set-up of a long-term follow-up study of all patients treated with the Fenestrated Anaconda ™ in France. To do this, this study will be carried out in partnership with the Federation of Medical Specialties (FSM) and the National Professional Council (CNP) of Vascular Surgery in order to have the data necessary for the renewal of the registration of the Fenestrated Anaconda ™ from the registry called Datavasc developed by the CNP and available online on the FSM's electronic platform.
