The Effect of Nursing Support Program for Women in Surgical Menopause on Their Life Quality

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the nursing support program developed in line with the Roy Adaptation Model on the quality of life, sleep quality and depressive symptom status of women in surgical menopause. Design: The study was a single-center, randomized, controlled trial. Setting: This study was carried out in the gynecology clinic of a training and research hospital in Türkiye. Method: The participants were randomized into two equal groups: intervention and control. The nursing support program developed in addition to routine nursing care was applied to the intervention group. Routine nursing care was given to the women in the control group. Data were collected with "Personal Information Form", "Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnare", "Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index" and "Perimenopausal Depression Scale". Hypothesis: H0-a: Nursing support program developed in line with the Roy Adaptation Model has no effect on the quality of life of women who have undergone surgical menopause. H0-b: Nursing support program developed in line with the Roy Adaptation Model has no effect on the sleep quality of women who have undergone surgical menopause. H0-c: Nursing support program developed in line with the Roy Adaptation Model has no effect on the depressive symptom status of women who have undergone surgical menopause.

Rehabilitation Treatment of Patients With COVID-19

This is single centre retrospective study with propensity score matching. The aim of the study is to develop criteria for determining groups of patients with a new coronavirus infection based on clinical, laboratory and instrumental data for whom rehabilitation programs (physical exercises, chest massage in an electrostatic field) will be effective. Data on predictors of effective rehabilitation in COVID-19 is limited. Knowledge of predictors of possibility and efficacy of rehabilitation programs could enhance patients recovery. The main symptoms of COVID-19 involve the respiratory system and psychological function. Early rehabilitation can reduce hospital length of stay. Different patients have different degrees of dysfunction; therefore, personal plans should be developed according to the patient's age, sex, lifestyle and physical condition. Regular follow-up and rehabilitation guidance were conducted for discharged patients, focusing on improving vital capacity and cardiopulmonary endurance. There is a clear consensus that early rehabilitation is an important strategy for the treatment of polyneuropathy and myopathy in critical disease, to facilitate and improve long-term recovery and patients' functional independence, and to reduce the duration of respiratory support and hospitalization. Early rehabilitation and exercise prescriptions remain to be further optimized, especially for hospitalised patients.

This study examines the immediate and long-term effectiveness of a group cognitive behavioral therapy intervention (GCBT) in improving health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in children treated for mixed psychiatric disorders in naturalistic child psychiatric outpatient settings. The effects of a treatment-as-usual condition (TAU) is also examined. Further, the study aims to explore the associations among children´s HRQOL dimensions and parental well-being, and how GCBT may influence these associations.

However, there are hardly any studies examining the effect of manual therapy on quality of life and psychological factors in LDH patients. The aim of our study is to examine the effect of mobilization, which is a manual therapy application, on psychological factors (kinesiophobia, pain catastrophic thought, anxiety and depression) and quality of life in LDH patients.
