NCT ID: NCT05402228 Completed - Tinnitus Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Aural Symptoms and Dizziness in Patients With Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Start date: March 27, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

120 male and female patients aged between 18-65 years who apply to the outpatient clinic and diagnosed with TMD will be included in the study. Patients will be divided into 3 groups as Muscle Disorders (Group 1), Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (Group 2) and degenerative joint diseas (osteoarthrosis) (Group 3) according to DC/TMD axis I diagnostic criteria. maximum mouth opening, TMJ sound, pain levels, tinnitus, and dizziness are evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT05402020 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Effectiveness of Tiotropium + Olodaterol Versus Inhaled Corticosteroids (ICS) + Long-acting β2-agonists (LABA) Among COPD Patients in Taiwan

Start date: September 30, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The real world study aims to assess effectiveness and safety profile between tiotropium/olodaterol (Tio/Olo) and inhaled corticosteroids(ICS) / Long-acting β2-agonists (LABA) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in Taiwan. The data used in this study will come from the Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI) claims data between 2014 and 2019.

NCT ID: NCT05401721 Completed - Clinical trials for Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis

Serum Copeptin in Cirrhotic Patients With Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis

Start date: May 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Current reports have demonstrated that copeptin predicts disease progression and prognosis in cirrhotic patients, independent of liver-specific scoring systems. To the best of our knowledge, few studies have addressed the association between copeptin and sepsis in cirrhotic patients, however, they were performed on different types of infections. Therefore, we will conduct this study with a focus on it is possible role in patients with SBP.

NCT ID: NCT05401409 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Effect of Beetroot Juice on Reducing Hypertension in Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease

BEET-PKD
Start date: May 5, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

People with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) develop high blood pressure and kidney disease. Previous studies have shown that a commonly occurring chemical, nitric oxide (NO), is reduced in ADPKD, and may contribute, in part, to high blood pressure in this condition. Nitrate is found in high concentrations naturally in beetroots, and increases NO. The aim of this study is to determine if beetroot juice reduces blood pressure in hypertensive people with ADPKD.

NCT ID: NCT05401253 Completed - Clinical trials for Postoperative Pulmonary Complications

The Association of Different Levels of Physical Activity on Postoperative Pulmonary Complications in Patients Undergoing Thoracoscopic Lung Resection Surgery

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aimed to predict different physical activity (PA) levels in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung resection surgery (LRS) using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and investigate the association between the PA levels and the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs). The patients were classified into the high-level and low-level PA groups based on the IPAQ scores. The incidence of PPCs within postoperative 5 days, number of PPCs, the incidence of postoperative adverse events (PAEs) within postoperative 5 days, extubation time, length of hospital stay (LOS), unplanned admission to the intensive care unit (ICU), and the mortality 1-month postoperatively were recorded. Arterial blood samples were collected before induction of anesthesia and 1 hour postoperatively, and the supernatants were centrifuged for cytokine analysis. Binomial logistic analysis was performed to determine the relationship between predefined variables and PPCs. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors, and the area under the curve (AUC) was calculated.

NCT ID: NCT05400460 Completed - Clinical trials for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injuries

Prognosis Study of Different Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery Methods

ACLRSurgRCT
Start date: June 1, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

From June 1, 2016, to July 1, 2017, a total of 406 patients with ACL rupture were randomly assigned to three different ACL surgeries: anatomical single-bundle, central axial single-bundle and double-bundle. A prospective randomized cohort study was conducted.

NCT ID: NCT05399628 Completed - Clinical trials for Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Newborn

LISA Catheter With Marked vs. Unmarked Tip in Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants With RDS

Start date: June 6, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an unblinded, randomized, controlled, crossover (AB/BA) trial of surfactant treatment with LISA catheter with a marked tip vs. LISA catheter with an unmarked tip in a manikin simulating an extremely low birth weight infant. Participants will be level III NICU consultants and residents. Randomization will be performed using a computer-generated random assignment list. The primary outcome measure will be the positioning of the device at the correct depth in the trachea. The secondary outcome measures will be the time and number of attempts to achieve the correct depth and participant satisfaction.

NCT ID: NCT05399212 Completed - Clinical trials for Spermatogenesis and Semen Disorders

Composition for Treating Spermatogenesis and Semen Disorders / FPT-20

Start date: October 29, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Research to develop a new, natural-derived formulation that eliminates inflammatory tissue and regenerates new tissue of the lobules, epithelium of the tubules, and connective tissue surrounding the seminiferous tubules in the testes. It restores Leydig cells and Sertoli cells' function (because the inflamed testicles were unable to perform spermatogenesis).

NCT ID: NCT05398211 Completed - Delirium in Old Age Clinical Trials

Music Therapy as a Treatment for Delirium in Acutely Hospitalized Older Patients

Start date: June 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess feasibility and potential effectiveness of two different music interventions for managing delirium symptoms in acute geriatric patients.

NCT ID: NCT05398198 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Efficacy and Safety of GSK3923868 Inhalation Powder, During Experimental Human Rhinovirus Infection in Participants With Mild Asthma

Start date: June 9, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 1b, single center study designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of GSK3923868 following repeat doses in mild asthmatics during experimental human rhinovirus 16 (HRV-16) infection. The study will be conducted in two parts. Part A will determine the efficacy of GSK3923868 administration after viral inoculation (i.e., therapeutic treatment) and Part B may be undertaken to determine the efficacy of GSK3923868 administration before viral inoculation (i.e., prophylactic treatment). The purpose of this study is to establish proof-of-mechanism that GSK3923868 treatment can reduce symptoms of Human Rhinovirus (HRV) infection in a controlled setting.
