Filter by:We will be investigating the use of ketamine in sedation for endoscopic procedures, specifically outpatient endoscopy including esophagoduodenoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy. Participants will be randomized to one of two arms including conventional moderate sedation with midazolam and fentanyl or the ketamine arm. They will then undergo the planned procedure. Physicians preforming the procedure will be surveyed following the procedure and patients will be surveyed twice, once after meeting criteria for discharge on day of the procedure and a second time 48 hours following the procedure.
Prospective, multi-center observational study to be conducted in up to 30 French interventional cardiology centers. The purpose of this observational study is to capture, in French Centers, clinical data of the BioMatrix Flex™ and BioMatrix NeoFlex™ Drug Eluting Coronary Stents System (Biolimus A9, BA9™-) in normal practice, in patients treated with 6-month DAPT, and to compare the outcomes to those of previous e-biomatrix registries with longer DAPT durations. The patients will be followed up for 2 years for data collection.
The objective of the study is to evaluate if FS Grifols is non-inferior to EVICEL® in terms of the percentage of participants achieving hemostasis at the target bleeding site (TBS) by 4 minutes (T4) from the start of treatment application (TStart) with no occurrence of rebleeding until the completion of the surgical closure by layers of the exposed surgical field containing the TBS (TClosure).
It has been observed that out of all visits to the clinics by the young and middle age men for grievances including the genital and urinary frameworks, about 25% of the visits account for Prostatitis. A significant number of men, aged less than 50, visits to urologist due to Interminable prostatitis. Nevertheless, just 5 to10% of "prostatitis" cases is really caused by a bacterial contamination. The purpose was to investigate thoroughly the effect of pumpkin seeds oil phonophoresis among males who are diagnosed with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.
For hemodialysis subjects not receiving ESAs with anemia associated with chronic kidney disease, evaluate Hb correction and maintenance effect and safety of MT-6548.
The main purpose of this study is to assess the clinical feasibility of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) for the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP). For thar purpose, investigator will compare, fractional anisotropy (FA) obtained by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) MRI 3T on brachial plexus and cervical spinal nerve roots between patients with defined Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP), according to the EFNS 2010 criteria, and healthy controls. The secondary outcomes will be to compare DTI parameters (FA, ADC or Apparent Diffusion Coefficient) between CIDP patients, healthy volunteers, and patients with Charcot Marie Tooth disease type 1a (CMT1a) and MRI morphological parameters (T1, STIR) between these groups. Moreover, investigator will investigate the possible relationship between MRI parameters, clinical indices, and electrophysiological measure.
This experimental study is planned to investigate the impact of hypoglycaemia on platelet activation parameters (PAP) during a hyperinsulinaemic hypoglycaemic clamp study. The hypothesis that hypoglycaemia in patients with Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2 (T2DM) leads to increased platelet activation will be tested.
Prognostic factor in the patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) who undergo holmium laser enucleation of the prostate
Stress affects the health and is prevalent among medicine and pharmacy students. A number of factors such as busy schedules, course load and lack of recreational time during semesters as well as exams, have been reported to be associated with stress. Study reports that the use of aroma oils especially those with relaxant properties can alleviate the level of stress. This study aims to investigate the effects of aroma oils in stress during exams in pharmacy students.
