CD24Fc for the Treatment of Immune Related Adverse Events in Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors, TIRAEC Study

This phase I/II trial investigates the side effects and how well CD24Fc works in treating immune related adverse events in patients with solid tumors that have spread to other places in the body (advanced). CD24Fc may prevent autoimmune reactions due to the tissue damage induced by cancer treatment. CD24Fc binds to injured cell components and prevents inflammatory responses. CD24Fc also acts to turn off the immune system after it has been activated ("immune checkpoint"). Adding CD24Fc to standard treatment may shorten the recovery time and reduce the severity of side effects from immunotherapy.

Coronary Microcirculation Assessment After Primary Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction

In the management of acute myocardial infarction treated with primary angioplasty, despite effective epicardial clearance obtained in 95% of cases, microvascular obstruction (MVO) in the damaged territory concerns 50% of patients. The Index of Microvascular Resistance (IMR) allows early assessment of the microcirculatory state during the angioplasty procedure. A value of IMR>40 indicates MVO and is correlated with morbi-mortality. A new method for immediate evaluation of MVO using thermodilution with a new Rayflow® microcatheter has been described: it no longer allows the estimation but the measurements of absolute coronary resistance and coronary flow. We hypothesize that these measurements allows a better evaluation of the microcirculatory state after primary angioplasty, comparing to IMR. The main objective is to study the diagnostic performance of Rayflow® to predict MVO - no reflow (NR) - in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) patients in order to determine an absolute coronary resistance threshold by thermodilution for early diagnosis of MVO. The main secondary objectives will be to compare the different microcirculatory assessment parameters with each other, not indexed and indexed to the myocardial mass at risk (coronary resistance, IMR, CFR, Resistance Reserve Ratio) and to establish a link between high resistance or IMR and the occurrence of rhythm disorders at D1, D2 and D3.

At the time of study termination, NUV-422-02 was a first-in-human, open-label, Phase 1 dose escalation study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of NUV-422. The study population comprised adults with recurrent or refractory high-grade gliomas (HGGs), metastatic breast cancer (mBC), with and without brain metastases, and recurrent or refractory metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). All patients self-administered NUV-422 orally in 28-day cycles until disease progression, toxicity, withdrawal of consent, or termination of the study.

Leflunomide for the Treatment of Severe COVID-19 in Patients With a Concurrent Malignancy

This phase I/II trial investigates the best dose and side effects of leflunomide and how well it works in treating patients with COVID-19 and a past or present cancer. Leflunomide has been used since the 1990s as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. Experiments done with human cells that were given severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus causing COVID-19, showed that leflunomide was able to reduce the ability of the virus to make copies of itself. The coronavirus uses ribonucleic acid (RNA), a very long molecule that contains genetic information that is like a blueprint for making more copies of itself. Leflunomide inhibits the formation of RNA. The information gained from this study may help researchers to learn whether leflunomide is safe for use in treating patients with COVID-19, and whether it is potentially effective against the disease.

This study aims to investigate the effects of reducing aerosol particle concentrations in the room air during CPET by placing an inline filter, and to assess the effects of filter on the physiologic responses during CPET.

CPX-351 Versus Immediate Stem Cell Transplantation for the Treatment of High-Grade Myeloid Cancers With Measurable Residual Disease

This phase II trial studies the effect of CPX-351 followed by donor stem cell transplantation versus immediate donor stem cell transplantation in treating patients with high-grade myeloid cancers with measurable residual disease. Chemotherapy drugs, such as CPX-351, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving chemotherapy before donor stem cell transplantation may help kill cancer cells in the body and make room in the patient's bone marrow for new blood-forming cells (stem cells) to grow.
