Filter by:This study involved patients that have a cancer called diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), NK and T cell lymphomas (NK/TL) or classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) (hereafter these 3 diseases will be referred to as lymphoma). Patients lymphoma has come back or not gone away after treatment. Because there is no standard treatment for the patients cancer at this time or because the currently used treatments do not work fully in all cases, the patients are being asked to volunteer in this research study. In this study the investigators want to test a type of T cell made from a normal donor. The T cells the investigators will use are called Epstein Barr virus (EBV) specific T cells (EBVSTs) and are cells that the investigators have trained in the laboratory to recognize a EBV which is the virus that causes mono or kissing disease. Some patients with lymphoma have EBV in their cancer cells. Researchers have given T cell lines from normal donor EBVSTs to lymphoma patients who have EBV in their lymphoma cells and have seen responses in about half the patients. The cells have have been generated and are frozen in a bank. The cells are called "allogeneic" (meaning the donor is not related to the patient). CD30.CAR in EBV-specific T cells (called allogeneic CD30.CAR-EBVST) from the blood of healthy donors. The investigators are giving the cells to patients with lymphoma cells that express CD30. If the lymphoma cells also express EBV there may be some benefit from targeting both proteins. The purpose of this study is to find out the highest safe dose of allogeneic CD30.CAR-EBVST cells given following chemotherapy and used to treat lymphoma. The investigators will learn the side effects of CD30.CAR-EBVST cells in patients and see whether this therapy may help lymphoma patients.
This clinical trial will be a multi-centric prospective, randomized controlled study with the commercial objective of evaluating the clinical efficacy of a battery-powered portable device that uses blue LEDs. The clinical study aims to compare the existing standard treatment for burned areas in which the autologous skin graft was not successful, with a protocol that includes the administration of the treatment with EmoLED for 5 consecutive weeks in addition to conventional therapy. The enrolled patients will have to be examined after 5 weeks of treatment, until complete healing and subsequently their scarring will have to be evaluated at 3 and 6 months after healing.
It is nowadays well established that the immune system can profoundly influence disease outcome in cancer patients. Increasing evidence is indeed showing that patients displaying spontaneous T cell-mediated immune response against their tumor (defined as immune surveillance) have higher chance to respond to therapies and display globally better prognosis. Conversely, patients whose tumor is characterized by immunosuppression, usually involving myeloid cells and chronic inflammation pathways, often undergo rapid progression and rarely benefit from therapy. Hence, capturing the immune features of individual tumors can help to predict disease course and tailor the therapeutic workup in clinical setting.
The purpose of this study is to compare the outcomes of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) using smaller doses of contrast dye that are validated as being at low risk of causing injury to the kidneys, with the larger doses that are traditionally used contemporary practice.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is increasingly recognized in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN). The prevalence prior and after cancer therapy is not well understood. OSA is identified as a contributing factor for daytime somnolence and quality of life (QOL), yet treatment of OSA in the SCCHN population has not been studied. The investigators hope to identify the disease course of sleep apnea, risk factors for development, and impact on QOL with treatment of OSA in a population of patients with SCCHN.
This is a Phase 1, randomized, double-masked, multicenter, parallel-assignment, pilot study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, initial clinical effectiveness, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity of SCB-420 as compared with Eylea (aflibercept), in subjects with Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration. A total of 20 subjects with Neovascular Age-related Macular Degeneration will be enrolled across up to 11 sites in 3 countries (Australia, New Zealand, and China). The study will be conducted in 2 parts - Sentinel Safety Cohort and Open Enrolment. Subjects will be administered with 2 mg of SCB-420 or Eylea via intravitreal (IVT) injection every 4 weeks for a total 3 doses.
This study is to assess if personalized peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with 177Lu-DOTATOC results in fewer adverse events than standard PRRT. Subjects will be randomized to either receive personalized or standard PRRT. Personalized PRRT will be determined based on dosimetry calculations after the first cycle. In addition comparisons, will be made with progression-free survival, serial CT imaging, ctDNA, and quality of life questionnaires. Subjects will be followed for 5 years or until they have progression and are switched to another systemic treatment (not including treatment with somatostatin analogues).
Preterm neonates usually develop respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) for which they need respiratory support, which may be invasive and non-invasive depend on the availability and individual need. Non-invasive is relatively safe but non-invasive high frequency oscillatory ventilation (nHFOV) is not appropriately evaluated in neonates as primary support. So the investigators hypothesized that nHFOV is relatively safe and effective in comparison with invasive ventilation for preterm neonates with RDS.
The objective of the present study is to describe the negative impact on oral and gut microbiota of a severe acute respiratory syndrome SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients hospitalized in intensive care units (ICU). The study would like to compare their microbiota to the microbiota of ICU patients, non-infected by the SARS-CoV-2.
