Filter by:This study is a Phase 1 / 2 trial to determine the safety and efficacy of CYNK-001, an immunotherapy containing Natural Killer (NK) cells derived from human placental CD34+ cells and culture-expanded, in patients with moderate COVID-19 disease.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of regorafenib when given together with ipilimumab and nivolumab in treating patients with microsatellite stable colorectal cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) and remains despite chemotherapy treatment (resistant). Regorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as ipilimumab and nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving regorafenib, ipilimumab and nivolumab may slow the tumor growth and/or shrink the tumor size in patients with colorectal cancer.
Phase 1 (dose-escalation part): Investigate the tolerability and safety of ASTX660 in patients with r/r PTCL and r/r CTCL and determine the recommended dose (RD) for the Phase 2. Phase 1 (ATLL expansion part): Evaluate the safety of ASTX660 at RD in patients with r/r ATLL. Phase 2 : Evaluate the efficacy of ASTX660 at RD in patients with r/r PTCL.
Mood disorders are associated with significant financial and health costs for the United States, partially due to cognitive problems in these patients that can worsen disease course and impair treatment response. This study proposes to use smartphone-based technology to monitor cognitive problems in patients with mood disorders by linking brain network changes with predicted worsening of mood symptoms. The proposed study will provide evidence for using smartphone-based passive sensing as a cost-effective way to predict illness course and treatment response.
This research will assess the effects of Itacitinib as a second line treatment for patients with advanced inflammatory hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer. Itacinib is a protein inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase, JAK1, which is believed to enable cancer cells to metastasise to other parts of the body.
Interventional study evaluating the efficacy of an immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) in combination with a targeted therapy (vorinostat) in patient with recurrent and/or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma (localisations : head and neck, lung, cervix, anus, vulva, and penis)
CORIA is an observational cohort study of immunosuppressed populations who test positive for COVID-19. This includes people living with HIV, cancer, acquired immunodeficiency associated with other immunosuppressive therapy, primary immunodeficiency and recipients of a solid organ transplant. Participants will have routine clinical data collected with optional baseline collection and storage of a blood sample for storage . The study will be conducted in up to 30 sites within Australia.
The aim of the study is to compare quality of life and early and late post-operative pain after anatomical lung resection (lobectomy or segmentectomy) performed by a robotic approach compared to the videothoracoscopic approach (VATS) and the thoracotomic approach antero-lateral in patients with early stage lung cancer.
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of individually lifetime accumulated exposure to air and noise pollution on the incidence and prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and mortality. Air as well as noise pollution have harmful effects on human health. Experimental and clinical studies have shown a strong impact between particulate matter (PM2.5) and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Prolonged exposure to PM2.5 has been associated with the development of atherosclerosis and adverse cardiovascular events. However, also short-term exposure has been linked to acute coronary events. PM2.5 is, however, a combination of many components of specific pollutants that have a size of two and a half microns or less in width. However, there is a knowledge gap, as investigation into which specific components of air pollutants that contribute the most to the development of CVD is lacking. There is a need to adopt and encourage preventive measures but also put in place environmental policies that are effective in promoting the reduction of exposure to pollutants. We want to aid in this shift by showing which specific pollutants contribute the most to the development of CVD so that we can better target these specific air pollutants for better prevention initiatives.
The trial is designed as a phase III, double-blind, multicenter, randomized, single administration, active-controlled, parallel-group design with two groups of newborn infants receiving either VPM1002 or BCG SII (1:1 allocation) to assess the efficacy, safety and immunogenicity of VPM1002 against Mtb infection.
