Recently, the investigators described a new mucoid phenotype of Staphylococcus aureus cultured from the airways of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients.In this observational study, the investigators plan to determine the prevalence of mucoid S. aureus in respiratory specimens of CF patients and a possible impact of mucoid S. aureus on lung disease severity.

The Nutrition Study of the GA2LEN Follow-Survey was designed to investigate the association between usual dietary intake and allergic and respiratory outcomes in adults across Europe. Within this framework, a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) was designed to ascertain usual dietary intake of 250 food items, which was translated into the languages of the participant centres. Information on daily intake of foods, nutrients, and flavonoids was derived.

This open-label field trial evaluates the effects of treatment with a multi-pathway dietary supplement (Stem Cell 100+) that has been commercially available for several years. The objective of the intervention trial is to determine if normal subjects over 35 years of age experience any observable health benefits from the dietary supplement as to their blood pressure, pulse rate, blood cholesterol, lung capacity, stress levels, or self reported changes in markers of overall health and life expectancy.
