NCT ID: NCT02168608 Not yet recruiting - Liver Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Remote Ischemia Precondition (RIPC) for Hepatic Protection in Patients Undergoing Hepatectomy

Start date: September 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Remote ischemia precondition could protect the liver from ischemia reperfusion injury in patients undergoing hepatectomy.

NCT ID: NCT02114996 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Patients Ventilated by Mechanical Ventilation With Ischemic Stroke

Can a Vocal Stimulus Provoke Spontaneous Breathing in an Ischemic Stroke Patient Dependent on Mechanical Ventilation?

Start date: April 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Vocal stimulation may encourage spontaneous breathing in patients dependent on mechanical ventilation. The study will include 30 patients on mechanical ventilation that will be intervened by the vocal stimulation and 30 patients on mechanical ventilation will serve as the control group.

NCT ID: NCT01946048 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

Umbilical Cord Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Therapy in Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

Start date: October 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the present study is to investigate safety and efficacy of intramyocardial implantation of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy .

NCT ID: NCT01804283 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Effects of Ischemic Postconditioning on MicroRNAs in Double Valve Replacement

Start date: March 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

1. Cardiopulmonary bypass and cardioplegic arrest could regulate expression of microRNAs in patients undergoing double valve replacement (aortic and mitral). 2. The modulation of myocardial microRNAs by cardiopulmonary bypass and cardioplegic arrest may be rescued by ischemic postconditioning. 3. Downstream effectors would also be affected.

NCT ID: NCT01487746 Not yet recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Presence of Minor Anti Phospholipid Antibodies in Blood Samples of Ischemic Stroke Patients and Healthy Controls

Start date: December 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The investigators expect to find higher levels of both classical and minor antiphospholipid (APL) antibodies among the stroke cases. Furthermore, the investigators expect to find not only classical APLA but also minor antibodies. The investigators believe that minor antibodies have a major role in the hypercoagulability state.

NCT ID: NCT01446055 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Peripheral Arterial Disease

Safety and Efficacy Study of Autologous BM-MNC Processed by Two Methods for Treating Patients With Chronic Limb Ischemia

Start date: October 2011
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Using autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells (BM-MNC) to treat patients with chronic limb ischemia has been proved safe and effective. However, processing bone marrow by Ficoll density gradient centrifugation is not only time consuming but also expensive. Manually processing of bone marrow also results in large variation in therapeutic cell quantity and quality which directly leads deviation of safety and efficacy of the cell therapy. This study is aiming to compare an automated bone marrow processing system with a conventional manual method in term of safety and efficacy.

NCT ID: NCT01438593 Not yet recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Study of Purified Umbilical Cord Blood CD34+ Stem Cell on Chronic Ischemic Stroke

Start date: January 2013
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and possible effectiveness of brain transplants of CD34+ stem cells obtained from umbilical cord blood (UCB) to treat stroke.

NCT ID: NCT01376609 Not yet recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

The Correlation Between Outcome and Infarct Growth in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke

COIG
Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Previous research has shown there wasn't inevitable relationship between mismatch area and infarct growth according to Volumetric-subtraction mismatch volume. The recently published on Stroke paper has proposed Coregistration mismatch to calculate the mismatch to replace ischaemic penumbra, and it reignites hope for clinical application of the PWI/DWI mismatch. But the correlation between the mismatch, calculated by Coregistration mismatch method, and the clinical outcome of the patients with acute ischemic stroke is still unknown. so the investigators plan to conduct a prospective observational cohort study.

NCT ID: NCT01253512 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Ischemic Stroke

Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy of THR-18 When Administered to Patients Suffering Acute Ischemic Stroke and Treated With Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA)

Start date: March 2011
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This will be a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center, multi-national, escalating dose, pilot study comparing two doses of THR-18 to placebo when administered to patients suffering acute ischemic stroke and treated with Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA). The study hypothesis is that THR-18 will be safe and well tolerated in subjects suffering acute ischemic stroke and treated with Thrombolysis.

NCT ID: NCT00953368 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Ischemic Heart Disease

Effect of Remote Ischemic Preconditioning on Cognitive Function After Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft

Start date: October 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of remote ischemic preconditioning on cognitive function in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass graft.
