Filter by:The aim of the proposed study is to implement and evaluate Outreach Facilitation as a means to increase the uptake of evidence-based practice for secondary prevention and management of patients with established CVD and cardiovascular risk factors, in primary care practices throughout the Champlain LHIN. This initiative centers on the use of an Outreach Facilitation Model, in which skilled health professionals known as facilitators (Practice Change Consultants) serve as an expert resource to primary care practices in three areas: a) practice performance assessment, feedback, and consensus building towards goal setting and implementation; b) clinical, technical, organizational resources and practical advice; and c) encouragement to face and move through the challenges associated with implementing system change.
Evaluate the benefit (rate of adherence to the treatment), based on the LDL-C reduction in the group that will be exposed to the program of reinforcement of orientation aimed to the patients, compared to the control group, both in previous use of rosuvastatin.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of single and repeat doses of GSK256073 with placebo in HVT subjects that have been administrated GSK256073 in the HMA107787 study
This is a phase III multi-centre study in two periods: the first period is a phosphate binder and lipid lowering drugs washout for 8 weeks, the second period is a double-blind, randomised, parallel group, fixed dose, for 12 weeks.
To evaluate the percentage of Korean dyslipidemic subjects in the total group and each cardiovascular risk group achieving LDL-C target as defined by NCEP ATP Ⅲ criteria at starting doses of 10mg, 20mg and 40mg of atorvastatin after 8 weeks of treatment.
The purpose of this study is to test the effects of natural vs. man-made trans fatty acids (trans fats) on blood cholesterol.
To evaluate the efficacy of rosuvastatin in Korean dyslipidemia patients with hypertension.
Hypothesis: Cissus quadrangularis as well as Irvingia gabonensis are used in weight management and related conditions. This study set out to investigate if a combination of the two could have additional benefits to overweight and obese people.
To evaluate the efficacy of rosuvastatin in Korean dyslipidemia patients with diabetes
The overall objective of the Dietary Protein and Insulin Sensitivity Study is to test the hypothesis that increased protein in a diet with reduced carbohydrate (35% energy) can ameliorate insulin resistance in the absence of weight loss, and that this effect is independent of saturated fat content. Moreover, we will test whether such diets result in beneficial changes in total LDL cholesterol, small, dense LDL, and HDL cholesterol that are also independent of saturated fat intake.
