There is an urgent need to develop novel treatment methods. One growing area of intervention is the use of mobile phone technology to develop personalised, patient-centred treatments. These can be used in outpatient settings, allowing patients to manage their own illness and take control of their recovery. In this study the investigators will investigate how a smartphone application, UControlDrink, can help alcoholics stay abstinent from alcohol. The application consists of a number of features known to aid recovery such as supportive messages and online therapy.

The aims of the current study phase (R21) are: Aim 1. Develop a patient decision aid (PtDA-MAT) by incorporating best available scientific evidence on MAT as well as feedback from patients and clinical providers related to clinical priorities, perceived utility, and acceptability; Aim 2. Conduct pilot testing of the PtDA-MAT in an iterative process guided by an expert panel and involving key stakeholders (e.g., patients, physicians, policymakers) and field-testing.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the functioning of particular types of regions of the brain, specifically, those related to externalizing disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), and Conduct Disorder (CD). Brain function of children and adolescents with externalizing disorders such as ADHD, ODD, and CD will be compared to the brain function of those without. Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) will be used to monitor brain activity at work and at resting states.

This study entails a "proof of concept" evaluation of a novel intervention, Parents and Infants Engaged (PIE), for prodromal infants at-risk for neurodevelopmental disorders (NDs). The objectives of the current study are to examine whether the PIE intervention (a) transforms parent-infant transactions over time as intended, thereby facilitating increases in the time infants spend in joint engagement with their parents, and (b) is associated with improved social-communication functioning and positive changes in indices of autonomic self-regulation in infants at-risk for NDs.
