Filter by:Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a serious health concern for American Indians, but there have been few behaviorally based programs to lessen CVD risk among this population. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether a Web-based program, in addition to usual medical care, can lower CVD risk factors among American Indians who have type 2 diabetes and a high risk of developing CVD.
The purpose of this study is to determine if either hypoglycemia or exercise cause differential responses in muscle and skin sympathetic nerve activity.
This study will use single escalating doses of SB756050 to assess safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers and in subjects with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
To compare application site reactions after superficial and deep subcutaneous and intradermal injections of insulin detemir and saline in patients with diabetes - The patient serves as his own control, n=100 patients with diabetes
Primary objective: To demonstrate the superiority of insulin glulisine over insulin aspart and insulin lispro administered by external pump in term of unexplained hyperglycemia and/or infusion set occlusion. Main Secondary objectives: To compare insulin glulisine, insulin aspart and insulin lispro on: - Unexplained hyperglycemia - Infusion set occlusion - Hypoglycemic episodes,7-point blood glucose profiles - Episodes of significant ketosis and/or risk level for impending diabetic ketoacidosis - Time to change the infusion set - HbA1c (Glycosylated hemoglobin) - Overall safety: incidence of adverse events
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerance of a single intravenous (through a vein) dose of trodusquemine (MSI-1436) in obese, type 2 diabetics. Different amounts of trodusquemine (MSI-1436) will be given to each volunteer group throughout the study. Another purpose is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK - the study of the way the drug enters and leaves the blood and tissues over time) of trodusquemine (MSI-1436). Finally, this study will also determine whether trodusquemine (MSI-1436) has any effect on appetite, mood or behavior, and selective biomarkers (substances in your blood that may change in response to the study drug).
This trial is conducted in Japan. The aim of trial is to investigate the safety of insulin detemir and insulin NPH in children with type 1 diabetes.
This trial is conducted in Asia. The aim of this trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of biphasic insulin aspart 30 as start insulin in subjects with type 2 diabetes failing OAD therapy.
This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of an intensified treatment regimen with preprandial insulin aspart and insulin detemir once or twice daily to a more convenient regimen with biphasic insulin aspart 30 twice daily on blood glucose control in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to investigate the safety and efficacy of insulin aspart produced by current process compared to that of insulin aspart produced by NN2000 process in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
