Filter by:The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise (AE) on bladder functions and urinary system symptoms in women diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and suffered from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). In the study, 44 individuals (35-55 age) were divided into two groups: Aerobic Exercise (AE) (n=22) and Control Group (n=22) by simple random method. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is aerobic exercise effective on bladder functions in women diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus and suffered from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms? - Is aerobic exercise effective on urinary tract symptoms in women diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus and suffered from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms? - Is aerobic exercise effective on quality of life in women diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus and suffered from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms? Intervention/treatment - Control group individuals will be given a behavioral treatment program. - Submaximal aerobic exercise training will be given to the AE group in addition to the behavioral treatment program.
The goal of this study is to determine the effect of the ENHANCE intervention in improving clinical outcomes and evaluating the effects of the intervention on implementation processes and outcomes. The specific questions it aims to answer are: 1. To test and estimate the effect of the intervention in people with MLTCs attending PHCs on: i. Detection of, and initiation of treatment for, additional chronic conditions ii. Treatment intensification and changes in medication iii. Control of chronic conditions iv. patient reported health-related quality of life and functioning v. health care utilisation and adherence vi. costs of health care 2. To use the RE-AIM framework to assess implementation processes and outcomes through measurements of reach, adoption, implementation, and maintenance. 3. To understand implementation processes and outcomes within the wider context of primary healthcare, provide explanations for the observed effects of the clinical findings and identify recommendations for wider implementation of the ENHANCE intervention. The participants in the control group will receive usual care at their primary health care facility, which includes the use of the Practical Approach to Care Kit (PACK) or Adult Primary Care (APC) clinical decision support tool. Participants in the intervention group will receive care for their multiple chronic condition by a clinician trained to use the ENHANCE clinical decision support tool (intervention tool), and receive two CHW visits in their home to provide treatment literacy and adherence support.

The aim of the trial is as follows: - To assess the effect of multiple subcutaneous injections of JY09 injection on the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of multiple oral doses of metformin hydrochloride tablets, a single oral dose of Rosuvastatin calcium tablets, or digoxin tablets in overweight Chinese subjects; - To assess the effect of multiple subcutaneous injections of JY09 injection on QT interval in overweight Chinese subjects.
In this study, we are trying to explore the potential effects of moderate aerobic exercise for six months on the severity values of blood sugar, HbA1c, insulin, lipid profile, and highly sensitive CRP (hs-CRP) in a total of 50 subjects diagnosed with diabetes for more than five years with an age range of 30-70 years.
Role of sglt2I in diabetic patients with myocardial infarction
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare one- and two-stage techniques for short implant surgery in diabetes. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is one-stage short implant surgery at risk of implant osseointegration in diabetic patients compared to two-stage surgery? - Is one-stage short implant surgery associated with a risk of implant survival (at one-year follow-up) in diabetic patients compared to two-stage surgery? - What are the effects of one- and two-stage short implant surgery on the marginal bone loss or ISQ (implant stability coefficient - resonance frequency analysis device measurement) values of the implant in diabetic patients? Participants will come for their 3rd, 6th and 12th month controls. - Participants will receive two adjacent short implants. - A randomly selected one of these short implants will undergo a one-stage implant surgery, and the other a two-stage implant surgery. - Data will be obtained through non-invasive evaluation methods during the surgery and subsequent control stages. Researchers will also test one- and two-stage short implant surgeries in a control group of healthy individuals. Thus, the effects of diabetes on these two techniques will be better understood by comparing them with the healthy control group.

In pilot studies the investigators have shown that subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) from patients with reduced ejection fraction heart failure (HFrEF) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is dysfunctional. Endothelial cells from the adipose tissue from these patients are senescent and have deleterious effects on healthy human subcutaneous adipocytes, including increasing expression of IL-6 (gene and protein) and reducing glucose uptake. Digoxin, a well-established treatment for HFrEF, selectively clears these senescent endothelial cells and prevents adipocyte dysfunction. This study will examine the effect of digoxin on adipose tissue on the burden of senescent cells.
The Stockholm CREAtinine Measurements (SCREAM) project is a healthcare utilization cohort including, at present, all adult residents in Stockholm between 2006 and 2021. The region of Stockholm had a population of 2.3 million citizens in 2021and provides universal healthcare with a single unified health-system. Administrative databases with complete information on socidemographic data, healthcare use, diagnoses and therapeutic/surgical procedures, and vital status were enriched with performed laboratory tests, dispensed prescriptions at Swedish pharmacies and validated kidney replacement therapy endpoints. Registries were linked and de-identified by the Swedish National Board of Welfare and are considered to have no or minimal loss to follow-up. Because the study utilized de-identified data, it was deemed not to require informed consent and was approved by the regional ethical review boards and the Swedish National Board of Welfare. The goal of this study is to see if directing insulin to the liver will improve the low blood sugar that sometimes happens when injecting insulin in Type 1 diabetes patients. Participants will use continuous glucose monitoring to measure the sugar levels in their blood, and work with the doctor to find the best doses. One group of patients will get the liver targeting insulin, and the other group will use insulin they normally use for treating Type 1 diabetes. The participant will be part of the study for up to 32 weeks.
