Surgical site infections increase patient morbidity and healthcare costs. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention emphasizes improved basic preventive measures to reduce bacterial transmission and infections for patients undergoing surgery. We conducted a previous study that showed our treatment bundle is highly effective. Our current study planned to examine patterns/rate of S. aureus transmission to improve feedback widespread implementation of the perioperative infection prevention program at Iowa. The purpose of this study is to assess the fidelity of the set of interventions in controlling perioperative S. aureus and to provide data feedback via surveillance involving epidemiology of transmission for system optimization.

Hypotheses: The Investigator hypothesizes that targeting ALL cells with 2 different modalities, ie liposomal vincristine sulfate as a microtubule inhibitor and blinatumomab as a BITE immuno-oncology therapy, will have at least additive benefits and allow an effective, safe therapeutic option for patients. Further, the Investigator hypothesizes that the combination will result in a high rate of response and thus allow enhanced immunologic recovery. Primary Objectives To evaluate whether the combination will result in a median progression-free survival (PFS) of at least 1 year. To evaluate if the complete remission/complete remission with incomplete hematological recovery (CR/CRi*) rate is ≧ 75% following 2 cycles in adult subjects with R/R Ph- ALL and duration of remission Secondary Objectives To evaluate the rate of Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) and duration To evaluate the proportion of patients who are able to progress to allogeneic transplantation To evaluate the safety of blinatumomab and liposomal vincristine sulfate in combination To evaluate the effect of the combination and response on measures of immune reconstitution

This study will examine the feasibility of using an Endeavor™ application as a treatment modality for cognitive impairments in the pediatric MS population. Participants will be asked to undergo a hour-long baseline evaluation, followed by at-home Endeavor™ application sessions. Subjects will complete the User Experience Feedback Form weekly on REDCap and at the end of the study. They will undergo another hour-long follow-up evaluation at the end of the study.

Sprix for Postoperative Pain Control Following Gynecologic Surgery

The ongoing opioid epidemic has altered both how physicians prescribe narcotics and patients' perceptions of those prescriptions. Along with increased scrutiny regarding the quantity of opioids that be may prescribed after acute injury, for chronic conditions and following surgery the healthcare industry as a whole continues to search for alternative medications that provide adequate pain relief and have a reduced tendency for abuse/dependence/addition. To that end this study has the following aims: 1. To evaluate the amount of opioids consumed following minimally invasive, female pelvic surgery when patients' postoperative pain is managed via: 1. Acetaminophen plus Ibuprofen plus breakthrough pain opioids (Standard protocol) 2. Acetaminophen plus Intranasal Ketorolac Tromethamine plus opioids for breakthrough pain (Sprix protocol) 2. Patient satisfaction with the aforementioned methods 3. Evaluate and compare pain scores via validated questionnaire Hypothesis: Primary: 1. Patients prescribed intranasal Ketorolac (Sprix protocol) will consume significantly less Morphine Milliequivalents (mEqs) of narcotics compared to the standard protocol following minimally invasive female pelvic surgery. Secondary: 1. Patients in the Sprix protocol will have lower Visual Analog Scale (VAS) measures of pain which will be measured on a 0-10 scale where 0 denotes no pain and 10 denotes maximum experience of pain 2. Patients in the Sprix protocol will have lower numeric pain score and on POD#4 3. Patients in the Sprix protocol will have higher Quality of Recovery 40 (QoR-40 )scores on POD#1 4. Patients in the Sprix protocol will have higher QoR-40 scores on POD#4 5. Patients will not have any significant difference in overall surgical satisfaction on POD#1 and POD#4 using a numerical satisfaction score 6. Patients in the Sprix protocol will be more likely to consume no narcotics at all once discharged to home

This is a multicenter, prospective, observational study designed to determine the clinical sensitivity and specificity of the Abionic IVD CAPSULE Allergic Asthma panel performed on Abionic's abioSCOPE device using K3-EDTA anticoagulated plasma samples from atopic and non-atopic pediatric and adult patients. Patients' sensitization determined with the abioSCOPE will be compared to the clinical assessment of allergy.

Software Application for Low-Sodium Diet Trial (SALT)

This a single-center prospective randomized controlled trial. Subjects will be assigned to the standard of care dietary recommendations for a low sodium diet (LSD) vs. the standard of care dietary recommendations for a low sodium diet plus a mobile application that analyzes sodium content of shopping lists that are created prior to shopping trips to the grocery store over an 8-week study period. An initial pilot phase will be done to ensure adequate percentage of subjects are completing the study in the intervention group and that adequate data is being collected.

Effect of Negative Pressure on Pattern Electroretinography Readings

Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness worldwide. Intraocular pressure (IOP) remains the only modifiable risk factor for glaucoma. Without sufficient IOP lowering therapy, glaucoma induces retinal ganglion cell death and visual field loss. Pattern electroretinography (pERG) measurements directly correlate with retinal ganglion cell (RGC) signaling, providing an objective, repeatable, and non-invasive assessment of RGC function. The purpose of the study is to investigate the pERG changes associated with acute IOP reduction using the Mercury™ Multi-Pressure Dial (MPD). 10 patients will be enrolled. These subjects will have a best corrected visual acuity of 20/40 or better in both eyes and an established diagnosis of one of either mild/moderate OAG (open-angle glaucoma), OHT (ocular hypertension), or glaucoma suspect. Both eyes will be enrolled in the study. The study eye will receive a standardized 10 mmHg decrease in periorbital pressure via the Mercury™ Multi-Pressure Dial (MPD), and the fellow/control eye will receive no (zero) pressure application. Total google wear time will be 4.5 hours. Serial pERG measurements will be taken before, immediately after, and 2 hours after negative pressure application.
