This will be a Phase 1, 2 period, fixed sequence, multiple-dose, open-label study of the effect of ritlecitinib on caffeine PK in healthy participants. Approximately 12 healthy male and/or female participants will be enrolled in the study.

For spontaneous breathing patients with tracheostomy, whose lower airway is directly opened to the room air, the aerosol particles generated by the patients would be directly dispersed into the room air, which might be an direct resource of virus transmission. However, the transmission risk has not been evaluated and the appropriate humidification therapy is unknown. Thus this study is aimed to investigate the aerosol particle concentrations among different oxygen devices for spontaneous breathing patients with tracheostomy, in order to reflect the transmission risk.

Parent-mediated interventions are considered best practice for treating children with autism spectrum disorder, but these interventions are underutilized in community settings. Implementation strategies like consultation can improve the implementation of these interventions, but little is known about the active ingredients of consultation. This study uses an experimental design (ABCD single-case design with multiple baselines) to identify the active ingredients of a consultation model designed to support the implementation of a parent-mediated intervention for autism spectrum disorder in a low-resourced community mental health system.
Parental illness and death from HIV/AIDS has a profound and lasting impact on a child's psychosocial well-being, potentially challenging the basic needs for survival and compromising the child's future. Therefore, the impact of parental HIV/AIDS on children needs to be treated from both a public health and a developmental perspective. However, to date the role of a resilience-based approach among children affected by HIV is hypothesized but not evidence-based. In this application, we propose to develop a theory-guided, resilience-based, multimodal intervention by culturally adapting and integrating components from three SAMHSA model programs which show strong evidence in promoting protective factors among young children. The multimodal intervention will include three approach levels: the individual child (peer-group activities), the family (caregiver parenting skill training), and the local community (community advocacy). The short, medium, and long-term efficacy of the Child-Caregiver-Advocacy-Resilience [ChildCARE] intervention to improve health and psychosocial well-being of children will be evaluated over 36 months through a cluster randomized controlled trial. About 800 HIV/AIDS-affected children (8 to 11 years of age) and their primary caregivers will be recruited from central China where we have built a strong research infrastructure and community collaboration during our previous study. The primary outcome measures for the children will include physical health, mental health, growth and development, school performance, and a biological indicator of neurobiological stress response (salivary cortisol). The outcome measures at caregiver level will include parenting style, parental engagement, and mental health well-being. The changes at the community level will be measured using children's and caregivers' perceptions of social support and HIV-related public stigma. We will also examine the potential mechanism through which the ChildCARE intervention is exerting its impact by identifying improvement in protective factors and other individual and contextual factors that potentially mediate or moderate the intervention effect. This proposed project will examine whether the multilevel protective factors we identified in our initial project are amenable to intervention and whether their hypothesized changes explain improvement in children outcomes.

Urge urinary incontinence (UUI) is a common problem in older women, which vastly reduces quality of life. UUI sufferers frequently report situational triggers (e.g. approaching the front door) leading to urinary urgency and/or leakage, which can be caused by psychological conditioning. This project will test the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of brief mindfulness (MI) and non-invasive brain stimulation (transcranial direct current stimulation; tDCS) to reduce reactivity to personal urgency cues and attenuate symptoms of UUI. This is a novel step towards providing personalized efficacious non-pharmacologic treatment for UUI.
The main purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of oral Islatravir (ISL) once monthly (QM) as Preexposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) in cisgender men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TGW) who have sex with men and who are at high risk of HIV-1 infection with 48 or 96 weeks of treatment and a minimum follow-up of 42 days.
The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate whether remote video/audio postoperative visits (telemedicine visits) affects patient satisfaction compared to in-person visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. If the primary objective of the study is achieved, it would allow better understanding of how telemedicine can be integrated into modern surgical practice to take care of postoperative patients.
