There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relative bioavailability of JNJ-64304500 after administration of two different formulations in healthy participants.
Briefly, a trained barbershop navigator will work with each barbershop to measure blood pressure on each adult customer who agrees, and to provide culturally-targeted education about high blood pressure and its consequences, and motivational interviewing-informed counseling about therapeutic lifestyle changes. For customers found to have high blood pressure, the navigator will also provide referral and navigation to a medical provider and, as appropriate, a local pharmacy.
The investigators will assess the prediction performance of the modified Surprise Question (Will the participant be surprised if this patient transfers to hemodialysis in the next 6 months?) for identification of peritoneal dialysis at high risk of transfer to hemodialysis. The investigators will also assess the prediction performance of a modified mortality surprise question (Will the participant be surprised if this patient dies in the next 6 months?).
The current understanding of dental caries has not been completely transferred into the clinical practice to control caries lesion progression (severity / activity) and the individual risk of caries. This situation led to the development of the CariesCare International CCI Caries Management System (2018), derived from ICCMS™- International Caries Classification and Management System (2012) and the ICDAS - International Caries Detection and Assessment System (2002) in a consensus among more than 45 cariologists, epidemiologists, public health professionals, researchers and cliniciansfrom all over the world. The consensus aimed to guide dentists and dental teams in clinical practice, facilitating the control of the caries process and the maintenance of oral health in their patients. The general lack of implementation of an updated management of dental caries is evident in Colombia, in the survey of 1094 clinicians, teachers and students, failures were reported to adopt related behaviours, motivation barriers (remuneration), opportunity (in terms of relevance, physical/infrastructure resources, time) and training. As an additional barrier, the Colombian Chapter of the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF), evidences the absence of a facilitating Oral Health Record (OHR), this situation lead to stablish a new Alliance between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MSPS) and the AFLC to develop an inter-institutional consensus at the national level, of a clinical history for diagnosis and management of lesions and caries risk. Finally, 55 institutions participated in this consensus, and we have just finished a pilot test of the forms to submit a proposal for national standardization from the MSPS. The aim of this multicentre case series is to assess after 3, 6 and 12 months in children oral health outcomes, caregivers' satisfaction and in dentists' process outcomes, after the implementation of the CCI system adapted for the COVID-19 era -non-aerosol generating procedures. Oral health outcomes will be evaluated in terms of: - Effectiveness of CCI to control bacterial plaque, caries progression and caries risk, and to achieve behavioural change in oral health in children. - Acceptance of CCI caries management adapted for COVID-19 through Treatment Evaluation Interventory in dentists, and in children/parents through satisfaction questionnaire. - Costs of CCI adapted for caries management, in economic terms, number and appointment time.
The primary objective of the study is to assess the virologic efficacy of REGN10933+REGN10987 across different intravenous and subcutaneous doses compared to placebo. The secondary objectives of the study are: - To evaluate additional indicators of virologic efficacy of REGN10933+REGN10987 compared to placebo - To evaluate the safety and tolerability of REGN10933+REGN10987 compared to placebo - To assess the concentrations of REGN10933 and REGN10987 in serum over time - To assess the immunogenicity of REGN10933 and REGN10987
This trial studies the effects of human papillomavirus diagnosis on the relationships of patients with head and neck cancer. Determining the effects of human papillomavirus diagnosis on relationships may determine whether human papillomavirus-positive patients and their partners are more likely to experience decline in relationship intimacy after diagnosis than human papillomavirus-negative patients and their partners. This may help researchers provide valuable insight into the degree to which a diagnosis of human papillomavirus affects patient relationships over and above the effects of a cancer diagnosis and address the need for additional patient counseling or education following diagnosis.
Complete polypectomy is one of the major factors for effectiveness of colonoscopy to prevent colon cancer. Given the prevalence of the 4-6 mm polyp, and the concern about interval cancers at polypectomy sites, there is a clear and significant need to determine which technique(s) are most appropriate for clinical practice. This study was to compare the three commonly used polypectomy techniques in terms of efficacy and efficiency.
The purpose of this research study is to assess the effects of dual-task training using a dynamic balance task and an auditory reaction time task on dual-task performance in healthy young adults and to assess the cortical activity within the prefrontal and sensorimotor cortices in response to dual-task training using functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).
This study investigates whether donors with previous exposure to COVID-19 can pass their immunity by hematopoietic (blood) stem cell transplant (HCT) donation to patients that have not been exposed. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the virus that causes the COVID19 infection. This study may provide critical information for medical decision-making and possible immunotherapy interventions in immunocompromised transplant recipients, who are at high risk for COVID19 severe illness.
This is an observational study. Forty females with type 1 diabetes (age 18-40) using a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump will be enrolled for a 3-month data collection. Study participants will include free-cycling females and females following oral contraceptive therapy. All study appointments may be completed virtually.
