There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Study of Romiplostim for Chemotherapy-induced Thrombocytopenia in Adult Subjects with Gastrointestinal, Pancreatic, or Colorectal Cancer
This research study is studying immunotherapy as a possible treatment for metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) in participants who are HLA-A2+. The drugs involved in this study are: - PVX-410 - Pembrolizumab - Hiltonol - Montanide
This research study is studying a novel type of FL vaccine as a possible treatment for follicular lymphoma (FL). The agents involved in this study are: - Rituximab - Personalized NeoAntigen vaccine - Poly-ICLC - Pembrolizumab
This phase 2 trial studies radium Ra 223 dichloride, hormone therapy and stereotactic body radiation in treating patients with prostate cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Radium Ra 223 dichloride contains a radioactive substance that collects in the bone and gives off radiation that may kill cancer cells. Hormone therapy using leuprolide acetate or goserelin acetate may fight prostate cancer by lowering the amount of testosterone the body makes. Stereotactic body radiation therapy is a specialized radiation therapy that sends x-rays directly to the tumor using smaller doses over several days and may cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving radium Ra 223 dichloride, hormone therapy and stereotactic body radiation may work better at treating prostate cancer.
This phase Ib trials studies the side effects and best dose of eribulin mesylate when given together with radiation therapy in treating patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma that can be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as eribulin mesylate, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
The study drug elotuzumab, has been clinically shown to be effective in treating relapsed/refractory MM in combination with either bortezomib, or lenalidomide and dexamethasone. Elotuzumab in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone is currently approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma. Carfilzomib is also FDA approved for treating multiple myeloma and frequently given in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone for treatment of relapsed/refractory MM. Based on these findings, this study will look at how subjects with relapsed/refractory MM respond to a combination treatment with the following drugs: elotuzumab, carfilzomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone. The combination of these four drugs is not FDA approved and is experimental.
Children with brain tumors are at risk for a number of psychological late effects, including neurocognitive and social deficits. This observational study focuses on assessment of social functioning, including social-cognitive and neurocognitive abilities, in survivors of pediatric brain tumors. This study will also assess the influence of medical factors, including diagnosis and age at diagnosis, on social functioning. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Examine the impact of social-cognitive and neurocognitive abilities on social functioning in survivors of pediatric brain tumors. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Assess the influence of medical factors such as diagnosis and age at diagnosis on the social functioning of survivors of pediatric brain tumors.
While thoracic radiation therapy (TRT) has been a primary component in successful treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma, exposure to this treatment has been associated with significant cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and pulmonary morbidity in long-term survivors. Survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) are also at risk for fatigue and excessive daytime sleepiness. Insufficient sleep is recognized as an important public health concern, and is associated with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, neurocognitive problems, and reduced quality of life and productivity. Survivors of HL, who are already at risk for cardiac and neurologic morbidity due to their treatment exposures, could face catastrophic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events with the added risk associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The investigators propose to examine indices of sleep quality using polysomnography, and associated neurocognitive performance, brain MRI, and structure and strength of neck muscles in 220 long-term adult survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma treated with thoracic radiation. OBJECTIVES: 1. To estimate the prevalence of OSA in adult survivors of HL treated with thoracic radiation, and compare the frequency to community controls matched on age, gender, race and body mass index. 2. To identify specific therapeutic factors associated with OSA in adult survivors of HL treated with thoracic radiation. 3. To identify biomarkers of OSA in adult survivors of HL treated with thoracic radiation. 4. To examine associations between OSA and cardiac morbidity and brain integrity in the adult survivors of HL treated with thoracic radiation.
The long term follow up of a pilot study in which the invesitagors proposed to test whether high frequency stimulation of the subcallosal cingulate (SCC) is a safe and efficacious antidepressant treatment in five TRD patients, to compare the effects of left-sided vs. right-sided stimulation, and to investigate potential mechanisms of action of this intervention. Importantly, this study will be used to assess the need for and assist in planning a larger, more definitive trial of SCC DBS for TRD.
The purpose of this study is to determine how different doses of a statin affect muscle health and exercise.
