There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Individuals with schizophrenia spectrum disorder (SSD) often face unique barriers that limit the development of long-lasting lifestyle changes. In this study, The investigators will investigate the feasibility and impact of a novel lifestyle intervention in individuals with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The intervention will be composed of group fitness instruction and educational nutrition didactics that will be accessible to participants at-home through remote streaming. The fitness component will consist of weekly group fitness sessions delivered by a certified personal trainer over a virtual interface. The educational nutritional component of this intervention will involve interactive didactic sessions designed to improve knowledge of nutrition and positively change dietary behavior in this population.
The purpose of this study is to understand the potential of protein and psyllium fiber to manipulate gut microbial densities, intestinal permeability, and inflammation in humans.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single ascending dose administration phase one clinical trial to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and preliminary pharmacodynamics of MT1013 injection in healthy subjects.
Management of postoperative urinary retention often requires the use of indwelling catheters. The purpose of this study is to see if patient removal of catheters at home is non-inferior to standard office removal.
AMAZE™ is a disease management platform (DMP) designed to educate patients about heart failure, help engage them in healthy behaviors and assist them in taking their medications as prescribed. This study will assess whether the AMAZE™ smartphone-based application ("app") can help heart failure patients take better care of themselves after discharge from an inpatient heart failure admission at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The primary objective is to demonstrate feasibility and perceived value of the AMAZE™ platform in clinical practice. The study will also explore whether the use of the AMAZE™ platform for 60 days post-discharge leads to a reduction in hospital readmission, emergency department, urgent care and unexpected ambulatory care visits. The impact of the AMAZE™ platform on participant reported quality of life outcomes and perception of overall medical care will also be examined.
The purpose of this research study is to measure the changes in energy metabolism (how the body burns energy), cardiovascular function (heart function), and lipid metabolism (cholesterol break down and building) before and after thyroidectomy (surgical removal of thyroid gland) in response to two approved therapies for hypothyroidism: levothyroxine (LT4) or Liothyronine/levothyroxine (LT3/LT4) combination therapy.
The researchers hope that based on the study findings future patients may benefit from a more precise radiation treatment plan that can be developed more quickly and thus decrease the time from Computerized Tomography Simulation to start of treatment.
The purpose of the study is to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of Staccato alprazolam in healthy Japanese, Chinese, and Caucasian participants.
The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of selpercatinib on the levels of dabigatran in the blood stream and how long it takes the body to remove dabigatran. This study will also look at how safe and well-tolerated of dabigatran when administered in combination with selpercatinib in healthy participants. This study will last approximately 22 to 25 days.
This study will investigate the effect of two different doses of 7-Keto compared to placebo on resting metabolic rate. One third of subjects will be given the lower 7-Keto dose, one third will be given the higher 7-Keto dose and one third will be given the placebo.
