This study is designed to characterize the excretion of bempedoic acid or bempedoic acid and ezetimibe into mature breast milk of healthy lactating women and assess the exposure to the breast fed infant by estimating the daily infant dosage and the relative infant dose (RID) of bempedoic acid or bempedoic acid and ezetimibe in breast milk after 6 consecutive daily doses of bempedoic acid or bempedoic acid/ezetimibe FCDP.
This virtual, open-label, three-group, randomized-controlled trial will last six weeks. Participants will be allocated into three groups; the Intervention Group, Spotify Group, and Control Group. All participants will complete a baseline questionnaire before completing their designated regime daily for six weeks. In addition, participants will complete study-specific surveys and validated questionnaires at the end of each week (Week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6). The study will include 75 [participants in total, 25 per group, who all have self-reported concerns around anxiety, stress, or depression. Questionnaires will be used to monitor sleep, cognitive ability, and changes in symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Both study-specific questionnaires and validated questionnaires will be utilized, including the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Assessment (GAD-7), the 9-question Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), and The World Health Organisation- Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5). Likert scale responses will be examined from baseline to each check-in. Participant responses on product feedback will be presented as % scores.

This is a feasibility study characterizing the ability of transvaginal ultrasonography to identify the pudendal nerve. Today, the pudendal nerve block is typically accomplished through blind landmark techniques, thus limiting its success. To date, there has never been an attempt to determine if the visualization of the pudendal nerve would be possible using transvaginal ultrasound with existing technology; nor to perform this procedure transvaginally with the assistance of ultrasound.
Pessaries are silicone devices inserted into the vagina for treatment of pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence. They are adequate treatment options for patients who are poor surgical candidates, those who decline surgical intervention, or as a temporizing measure in those ultimately planning surgery. Most studies suggest that about 75% of patients are able to be successfully fit with a pessary, but about 50% discontinue pessary use within 12 months of initiation. The purpose of this study is to determine why pessaries are discontinued.
The primary objective is to determine the tolerability and efficacy of a low-dose ketamine infusion for the treatment of Levodopa-Induced dyskinesias (LID), both acutely and during post-infusion evaluation (week 2-6), as measured by a change in patient diaries of dyskinesia and the UDysRS. Secondary objectives include observing the effects of ketamine on various symptoms of Parkinson's disease and Levodopa side effects. This includes the duration of "off," "on without dyskinesia," and "troublesome dyskinesia" time during waking hours, effects on chronic and acute pain, quality of life, and other general PD symptoms as noted in the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale. There is no highly effective treatment for levodopa-induced dyskinesia. This research study will use intermittent infusions of ketamine, on 10 volunteer subjects, which could provide significant improvement in dyskinesia utilizing a novel mechanism of action compared to current treatment strategies. Positive results in this study could lead to new novel treatments for dyskinesia and further development for other PD symptoms such as depression and pain.
This prospective study aims to analyze the influence of standardized after visit instructions (AVI) and teach back (TB) method on patients' understanding of health information. The study divided routine clinic patients into three groups: standard care, standardized AVI, and standardized AVI with TB. Patient health literacy, satisfaction, and AVI comprehension were gauged through surveys and post-visit follow-up calls. The investigators hypothesized that there would be an improvement in patient comprehension with the standardized AVI or TB when compared to controls.
Care for America's Aging is a randomized pilot study investigating whether a home health aide training intervention consisting of enhanced dementia-specific curriculum content will improve: 1) behavioral symptoms of older adult persons living with dementia or cognitive impairment (PLWD/CI) and 2) global health-related quality of life among PLWD/CI and their care partners.
This is a hybrid, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial that will last 12 weeks. Participants will be randomized into either the intervention product or control group and will consume the test product or control daily. Participants will complete study-specific and validated questionnaires at Baseline, Week 6, and Week 12, as well as blood biomarker testing for a lipid panel and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) at Baseline and Week 12. Osteoarthritis-like symptoms, such as joint pain, inflammation, and reduced mobility will be evaluated at baseline and at each check-in. Likert scale responses will be examined from baseline to each check-in. Participant responses on product feedback will be presented as % scores. Two validated questionnaires, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC) and the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) will also be completed at the questionnaire time points. A full lipid panel and hs-CRP measurement will be completed via in-person blood draws.
This study will test the safety of a study drug called CRD3874-SI. The researchers will test different doses of CRD3874-SI to find the highest dose that causes few or mild side effects in participants. After the researchers find the highest safe dose of CRD3874-SI, they will test that dose in new groups of participants to help them learn more about the side effects of the study drug and find out whether CRD3874-SI is an effective treatment for for patients with advanced or metastatic malignant solid tumors including sarcoma and Merkel Cell Carcinoma.
