NCT ID: NCT04800120 Completed - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to Treat COVID-19 Patients With Respiratory Distress

HBOT
Start date: February 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Investigate whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment can become a viable treatment option for COVID-19. If successful, providers will be able to provide future COVID-19 patients with mild-to-moderate respiratory distress hyperbaric oxygen therapy in order to help avoid mechanical ventilation

NCT ID: NCT04800094 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Pediatric Liver Fat Quantification (LFQ) Phase 2 Pilot Study

Start date: March 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical study will involve performing a series of medical imaging procedures of the abdomen using both ultrasound and MRI modalities in subjects at risk for or already diagnosed with Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The primary objective of this clinical study is to evaluate the clinical feasibility of an investigational ultrasound technique for quantifying liver fat by comparing specific ultrasound-derived biomarkers with the liver fat percentage obtained from MRI Proton Density Fat Fraction (MRI-PDFF) measurements. All subjects enrolled in this study will undergo one investigational abdominal ultrasound examination using the Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System and one MRI PDFF examination according to the clinical standard of care.

NCT ID: NCT04799717 Completed - Psychotic Disorders Clinical Trials

Game-based Telehealth Therapeutic Intervention in First Onset Psychosis

Start date: August 31, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal is to provide combination of 2 hours of weekly game based telehealth therapeutic intervention along with CBT-P for children identified with first onset psychosis or to be clinically high risk for psychosis thus widening therapeutic services offered. Target outcome measures are improvement in clinical symptoms, treatment engagement, and reduced hospitalization rates.

NCT ID: NCT04799665 Completed - Metabolic Syndrome Clinical Trials

Dedicated Breast CT for Quantitative Breast Density Measurements in Mexican-origin Women in Southern Arizona

Start date: April 28, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The overall objective of this clinical study is to determine the feasibility of breast CT for breast density assessment and association of CT-derived density measures with metabolic syndrome in overweight/obese Mexican-origin women in Southern Arizona. These evaluations will help support follow-up clinical research utilizing breast density acquired by breast CT as a surrogate endpoint biomarker to evaluate breast cancer preventive strategies. The long-term goal of these research efforts is to develop safe and effective preventive strategies to reduce obesity-associated breast cancer burden in our catchment area.

NCT ID: NCT04799587 Completed - Pregnancy Related Clinical Trials

Accupressure of P6 to Reduce Nausea During Cesarean Section

Start date: May 26, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if the addition of P6 pressure point stimulation as opposed to sham-point stimulation will decrease intraoperative and postoperative nausea and vomiting (IONV and PONV) for patients undergoing non-emergent cesarean delivery. We hypothesize that the addition of stimulation of the P6 pressure point to our institutional current standard of care (phenylephrine infusion, intravenous fluid bolus, and as needed intraoperative ondansetron) will decrease the occurrence of intraoperative emesis.

NCT ID: NCT04799405 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Home-based tDCS in Major Depressive Disorder

MoodStim
Start date: September 24, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators propose a study of telehealth supervised, caregiver-delivered, home-based transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for antidepressant treatment of patients with an acute depressive episode.

NCT ID: NCT04799353 Completed - Clinical trials for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Study to Evaluate the Safety and How the Body Handles a Single Dose of Subcutaneous (SC) and Intravenous (IV) Budigalimab in Adult Participants Living With Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Start date: March 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate how safe Budigalimab is and how it moves within the body in adult participants with HIV-1 infection. Budigalimab is an investigational drug being evaluated for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Study participants will be assigned to one of the 4 treatment groups and will receive a single dose of Budigalimab or placebo subcutaneous (SC) and intravenous (IV). Around 32 participants 18-65 years of age living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus will be enrolled in the study in approximately 9 sites worldwide. Each participant will receive single dose of SC and IV Budigalimab and/or Placebo on day 1 and will be followed for 24 weeks. Participants will attend weekly to every two and every four weeks visits during the study at a hospital. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests and checking for side effects. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial.

NCT ID: NCT04799197 Completed - Clinical trials for Acceptability of Health Care

A Multicomponent Intervention to Address Gender-based Violence in HIV

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project seeks to adapt and pilot a trauma-informed combination intervention named 'Kickin' it with the Gurlz' that was designed with, for, and by transgender women of color to improve HIV prevention continuum outcomes. The intervention components include a violence and gender affirmation screening tool, a peer-led adaptation of Seeking Safety, and individual-level peer navigation sessions. We will examine the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary promise of the multicomponent by conducting a one-arm pilot with 30 transgender women of color who have a history of trauma. Participants will complete baseline, immediate post-intervention, and 3-month follow up assessments.

NCT ID: NCT04799158 Completed - Heartburn Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Vonoprazan Compared to Placebo in Participants With Symptomatic Non-Erosive Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Start date: March 25, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objectives of this study are to assess the efficacy of vonoprazan (10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg On-Demand) compared to placebo (On-Demand) in relief of episodic heartburn over 6 weeks in participants with symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (NERD), and to assess the safety of vonoprazan (10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg On-Demand) compared to placebo (On-Demand) in participants with symptomatic NERD.
