NCT ID: NCT03737994 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IV Lung Cancer AJCC v8

Targeted Treatment for ALK Positive Patients Who Have Previously Been Treated for Non-squamous Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: July 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This National Cancer Institute (NCI)-NRG ALK Protocol phase II trial studies how well a combination of different biomarker/ALK inhibitors work in treating patients with stage IV ALK positive non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer. Lorlatinib, ceritinib, alectinib, brigatinib, ensartinib, and crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed, cisplatin, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether a combination of biomarker/ALK inhibitors or chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with ALK positive non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03737981 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Testing The Addition of a New Anti-cancer Drug, Venetoclax, to the Usual Treatment (Ibrutinib and Obinutuzumab) in Untreated, Older Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Start date: January 31, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial compares adding a new anti-cancer drug (venetoclax) to the usual treatment (ibrutinib plus obinutuzumab) in older patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia who have not received previous treatment. The addition of venetoclax to the usual treatment might prevent chronic lymphocytic leukemia from returning. This trial also will investigate whether patients who receive ibrutinib plus obinutuzumab plus venetoclax and have no detectable chronic lymphocytic leukemia after 1 year of treatment, can stop taking ibrutinib. Ibrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with obinutuzumab may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Venetoclax is in a class of medications called B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking Bcl-2, a protein needed for cancer cell survival. Giving ibrutinib and obinutuzumab with venetoclax may work better at treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia compared to ibrutinib and obinutuzumab.

NCT ID: NCT03737864 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Substance Use Disorders

NCARE, Transition to Recovery

Start date: June 17, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study tests the effectiveness of patient navigation for increasing enrollment in substance abuse treatment programs and preventing readmission to detoxification. Participants will be randomized to receive motivational interviewing or motivation interviewing plus patient navigation.

NCT ID: NCT03737825 Active, not recruiting - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

Computerized Cognitive Training in MS

Start date: April 25, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

WHO: 40 participants with a confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) able to engage in moderate physical activity. WHY: The purpose of this study is to evaluate two computerized brain training tools, which include light physical activity, to see if they can help improve cognitive functions, such as memory and attention, for patients with MS. WHAT: Complete a set of tests (physical and cognitive) at baseline, wear a Fitbit Flex device at home for the duration of the study, 3 supervised sessions for 4 weeks at UCSF, one visit for physical and cognitive tests at one week after the final supervised session, and one final visit 6 months after the final supervised session. WHERE: 20 participants at the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences (675 Nelson Rising Lane, San Francisco, CA); 20 participants at Lausanne University Hospital (Rue du Bugnon 46, 1005 Lausanne, Switzerland)

NCT ID: NCT03737760 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Effect of Age-related Changes in the Brain on Walking Ability

"Mind in Motion": Multimodal Imaging of Brain Activity to Investigate Walking and Mobility Decline in Older Adults

Start date: April 19, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objective of this study is to determine the central neural control of mobility in older adults by acquiring data with multiple modalities of neuroimaging (EEG, fNIRS, MRI) and associating these data with a comprehensive set of diverse mobility outcomes (clinic-based walking, complex walking and community mobility measures).

NCT ID: NCT03737643 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Advanced Ovarian Cancer

Durvalumab Treatment in Combination With Chemotherapy and Bevacizumab, Followed by Maintenance Durvalumab, Bevacizumab and Olaparib Treatment in Advanced Ovarian Cancer Patients

DUO-O
Start date: January 4, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase III randomised, double-blind, multi-centre study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of durvalumab in combination with standard of care platinum based chemotherapy and bevacizumab followed by maintenance durvalumab and bevacizumab or durvalumab, bevacizumab and olaparib in patients with newly diagnosed advanced ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03737370 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer

Fractionated Docetaxel and Radium 223 in Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Start date: January 30, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to determine the maximum safe dose of Ra-223 in combination with fractionated (split doses) docetaxel when given to subjects and to determine the best administering dose. The study will look at side effects that may happen while taking the combination treatment. A total of approximately 18 subjects will take part in the dose escalation part of the study and an additional 25 subjects will participate in the expansion cohort. This study will be conducted across four centers in the United States.
