There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the study is to conduct an 8-week RCT to improve insomnia among black women with insomnia and evaluate its feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of Mindfulness Based Therapy for Insomnia (MBTI)
To reach herd immunity for COVID-19, experts estimate that 70% of the population will need to be vaccinated. However, vaccination rates have begun to slow down in the United States. The investigators will partner with Philadelphia to launch a COVID-19 vaccination sweepstakes, in which residents will be eligible to win if they have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to a given drawing. Drawings will be held every two weeks; multiple prizes of various sizes will be awarded in each drawing. Half of the prizes in each size category in each drawing will be awarded to residents of a zip code that is randomly selected from a pre-defined list of under-vaccinated zip codes (this zip code will be announced at the start of each 2-week drawing period), the other half will be awarded to residents outside of that selected zip code. The investigators will analyze vaccination rates in Philadelphia as compared with neighboring regions before, during, and after the specified time period, as well as analyze vaccination rates in the three selected zip codes compared to the other zip codes that could have been targeted (the residual set of under-vaccinated zip codes) to determine the effectiveness of the sweepstakes at encouraging vaccinations.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a mobile application (app) called "Goal2QuitVaping" to help adolescents quit vaping nicotine. Goal2QuitVaping was developed by our research team to assist with quitting vaping. Participants will be randomly assigned to either download the mobile app, "Goal2QuitVaping", or not. If provided with Goal2QuitVaping, participants will be asked to use the app regularly, at least once per day, throughout the study duration. Participants will be asked to complete electronic questionnaire measures throughout the study period. Participation in this study will take about 4 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to assess spontaneous residual viable tumor cells (RVT) in the surgically resected tumor (Non-small cell lung cancer [NSCLC]).
This study will increase knowledge about the feasibility and effect on patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes of using an electronic Shared Decision Making (SDM) application (app) for patients with asthma in the allergy/immunology clinic visit setting. SDM is defined as an approach where clinicians and patients share the best available evidence when faced with the task of making decisions, and where patients are supported to consider options and make informed choices.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of BNC210 compared to placebo on PTSD symptom severity as measured by CAPS-5 Total Symptom Severity Scores.
This is a pilot/feasibility study to develop and test a fully online, self-administered psychoeducation program to enhance the caregiving mastery of family and friends who provide unpaid care for persons living with Alzheimer's and similar dementia disorders (PLWD).
The purpose of this study is to develop and test a physical activity-tracking smartphone app designed to facilitate physical activity in older adults with mild cognitive impairments or mild dementia. The app targets provides tips, messages, and strategies to overcome common barriers older adults face to being physically active. Participants will include older adults with memory or thinking problems or those diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment or mild forms of dementia who are smartphone users age 65 years or older and who are not meeting nationally recommended levels of physical activity. In the clinical trial phase of this study, 15 participant-study partner dyads will be oriented to the app and use it for a two-month period. Dyads will keep a diary to document their experiences and participants' activity patterns will also be tracked at the beginning and end of the study. After the two-month app trial is complete, dyads will return for a follow-up interview to discuss their experiences and provide suggestions for app improvements. Findings from this stage of the overall study will be combined with previous study phases to derive specifications for an optimized app for older people with mild cognitive impairments or mild dementia.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of respiratory muscle training (RMT) and nasal breathing on patients who have been infected with the SARS-CoV2 virus and continue to have lingering symptoms.
Community college students are an underserved and at-risk population in terms of their sexual and relationship health. This is a three-arm randomized control trial to evaluate the long-term efficacy of a web-based sexual and relationship health promotion program among U.S. community college students (expected N = 2010) and explore the mechanisms underlying the program efficacy.
