NCT ID: NCT04208074 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Exercise Study for Breast Cancer Survivors

Start date: November 25, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates the link between muscle health and immune health in breast cancer survivors. Regular exercise is known to improve overall survival in cancer patients but the mechanism is not known. In this study the investigators will evaluate if improving muscle mass and strength via exercise improves the immune system's ability to fight cancer. This is a one armed study where in 30 breast cancer survivors will be recruited to a 4 month exercise intervention. Increase in muscle mass and strength will be correlated with immune cell frequency and function.

NCT ID: NCT04207944 Active, not recruiting - IPMN Clinical Trials

The Prevention of Progression to Pancreatic Cancer Trial (The 3P-C Trial)

Start date: July 10, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center randomized double-blind placebo controlled trial of patients with high-risk intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of the pancreas. The primary objective is to evaluate the effect of sulindac on the presence or absence of progression of IPMN after up to 3 years of treatment. Patients without contraindications will be considered to be eligible and will be required to have a cross-sectional imaging study of the pancreas by CT scan or MRI within 3 months of study entry to document residual IPMNs and to rule out any evidence of pancreatic cancer. Patients will be randomized to receive either sulindac (200 mg p.o. BID) plus standard radiographic and endoscopic surveillance or placebo plus standard radiographic and endoscopic surveillance. Randomization will be stratified by (1) whether the patient had high-grade dysplasia identified in the initial resection specimen (resected patients only) and (2) whether the patient is taking metformin at the time of randomization.

NCT ID: NCT04207255 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Addition of Opaganib to Androgen Antagonists in Patients With mCRPC

Start date: March 27, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase II study of the investigational drug opaganib. Patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have experienced disease progression while receiving abiraterone or enzalutamide will receive Opaganib at either 250 mg or 500 mg by mouth twice a day continuously. Patients will continue on study drug until the development of progressive disease, intolerable toxicity, withdrawal of patient consent or other event as outlined in patient discontinuation.

NCT ID: NCT04207190 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Talazoparib and Gemtuzumab Ozogamicin for the Treatment of CD33 Positive Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Start date: October 23, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/Ib trial studies the side effects and best dose of talazoparib given together with gemtuzumab ozogamicin and to see how well they work in treating patients with CD33 positive acute myeloid leukemia that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Talazoparib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Gemtuzumab ozogamicin is a protein (antibody) combined with a chemotherapy drug which specifically targets acute myeloid leukemia cells expressing a marker (CD33). Adding talazoparib to the gemtuzumab ozogamicin therapy may lead to an increased effectiveness in treatment.

NCT ID: NCT04207047 Active, not recruiting - Abdominoplasty Clinical Trials

Histologic Evaluation of Tissue Following Lutronic System Exposure

Start date: October 2, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Enrollment of up to 25 subjects; subjects enrolled may be greater than subjects receiving test spot exposure visits. No pre-treatment medication prior to test spot exposure. Up to 6 tattoo points will be applied to each side of the abdomen immediately before or after test spot exposures to map and locate exposed spots on the excised pannis. Tattoos in the area to be resected will be placed to outline the test spot exposure areas. Photographs of exposed sites may be taken at investigator's discretion.

NCT ID: NCT04206553 Active, not recruiting - Bullous Pemphigoid Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Dupilumab in Adult Patients With Bullous Pemphigoid

LIBERTY-BP
Start date: October 28, 2020
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to investigate whether dupilumab is effective and safe for the treatment of bullous pemphigoid. Dupilumab is a type of drug called a "monoclonal antibody". An antibody is a special kind of protein that the immune (defense) system normally makes to fight bacteria and viruses. Bullous pemphigoid is an autoimmune subepidermal blistering disease, predominately affecting the elderly (typical onset after age 60). The study is looking at several other research questions, including: - Side effects that may be experienced by people taking dupilumab - How dupilumab works in the body and affects the body - How dupilumab affects quality of life - How much dupilumab is present in the blood - To see if dupilumab works to wean the patient off oral corticosteroids

NCT ID: NCT04206436 Active, not recruiting - Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Trials

CFTR Modulator Effects on Bone and Muscle in Adults With Cystic Fibrosis

Start date: December 18, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Study is looking at the effects of cystic fibrosis treatment on bone muscle.

NCT ID: NCT04206059 Active, not recruiting - Sleep Clinical Trials

Closed Loop Acoustic Stimulation During Sedation With Dexmedetomidine

Start date: January 20, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prospective within-subject study of dexmedetomidine sedation paired with CLAS conditions in repeated blocks. Intervention will consist of CLAS in-phase with EEG slow waves. Anti-phase stimulation will serve as an active control while sham stimulation will serve as a passive control.
