NCT ID: NCT04996667 Withdrawn - Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Trials

Effect of iNO in Patients With Submassive and Massive PE

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A single center study to evaluate the effect of inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) on pulmonary dynamics in patients presenting with imaging confirmed intermediate/submassive or massive pulmonary embolism (PE). The target enrollment is 20 subjects at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. PE patients undergoing catheter-based intervention will be administered iNO during their intervention and pulmonary hemodynamic measurement will be measured before, during, and after iNO administration (Invasive Cohort). Patients who are not undergoing catheter-based intervention will also be administered iNO and will have pulmonary hemodynamics, blood pressure, and heart rate measured non-invasively (Non-Invasive Cohort).

Endodontic-Restorative Pre-Radiation Therapy of Head and Neck Cancer Patients

EndoRest
Start date: January 3, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pilot study involving 20 patients undergoing dental treatment prior to radiation therapy. Comparison of outcome parameters to existing data of age and gender matched patients.

NCT ID: NCT04996056 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Cocaine Intoxication

An Open-Label, Randomized Pilot Study Comparing the Safety of a Single Dose of TNX-1300 to Usual Care (UC) Alone for the Treatment of Signs and Symptoms of Acute Cocaine Intoxication in Male Emergency Department (ED) Subjects

Start date: September 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

An Open-Label, Randomized Pilot Study Comparing the Safety of a Single Dose of TNX-1300 to Usual Care (UC) Alone for the Treatment of Signs and Symptoms of Acute Cocaine Intoxication in Male Emergency Department (ED) Subjects

NCT ID: NCT04995978 Withdrawn - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Insulin Resistance and Androgen Deprivation Therapy

Start date: December 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy amongst men in United States. Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) with long acting gonadotropin releasing hormone agonists is routinely used as adjuvant therapy in intermediate and high risk localized or locally advanced prostate cancer. Since ADT induces insulin resistance and diabetes, it is important that cellular and molecular effects of ADT are investigated to define precisely the mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance. Pioglitazone, a known insulin sensitizer, may provide amelioration of insulin resistance in these patients.

NCT ID: NCT04995094 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Pathologic Stage III Cutaneous Melanoma AJCC v8

Study of Neoadjuvant Imprime PGG and Pembrolizumab for Stage III, Resectable Melanoma

Start date: August 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Approximately 50 ABA+ subjects with resectable, Stage III (IIIB, IIIC, or IIID) melanoma will be included in the study and randomized in a 3:2 ratio to neoadjuvant treatment with Imprime PGG plus pembrolizumab vs. pembrolizumab monotherapy. A baseline, reference biopsy and a PET/CT scan will be obtained prior to commencing 3 cycles (9 weeks) of neoadjuvant treatment with either regimen. During Week 5, subjects will provide another biopsy to assess treatment effects on the tumor and its microenvironment. At the completion of neoadjuvant treatment and before surgery, subjects will undergo another PET/CT scan to assess radiological and metabolic response compared to baseline.

NCT ID: NCT04994002 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Lymphatic Malformation

A Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic, Safety and Tolerability Study of CERC-006 in Adults With Complex Lymphatic Malformations

Start date: September 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of CERC-006 in adults (aged 18-31 years) with active, moderate to severe complex lymphatic malformations.

NCT ID: NCT04990778 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Recurrent Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Venetoclax and Eprenetapopt for the Treatment of Relapsed of Refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Start date: November 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial investigates the effect of venetoclax and eprenetapopt in treating patients with mantle cell lymphoma that has come back (relapsed) or dose not respond to treatment (refractory). Chemotherapy drugs, such as venetoclax and eprenetapopt, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.

NCT ID: NCT04990583 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Medication Adherence

mHealth Facilitated Intervention to Improve HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Adherence

SMART PrEP
Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

If taken every day, PrEP is an effective method for preventing HIV. However, many prescribed PrEP in the U.S. do not take it every day, as prescribed. The goal of this study is to develop and test an intervention, facilitated by a mobile app, meant to improve adherence to PrEP. To that end, 60 individuals prescribed PrEP who do not take their PrEP every day as prescribed will be recruited. Participants will complete an initial research interview, receive a one-on-one PrEP adherence session with an adherence coach, and complete follow-up interviews at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months. In addition, some participants will be randomized to receive access to a mobile app and adherence coaching via the app for 12-months. The primary outcome is self-reported adherence to PrEP. This study will examine whether this intervention is effective at improving adherence to PrEP, is feasible to use, and found acceptable by those who use it.

NCT ID: NCT04989283 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Lung Non-Small Cell Carcinoma

Testing the Addition of an Immunotherapy Drug, Atezolizumab, to the Usual Chemotherapy Treatment During Radiation Therapy for Superior Sulcus Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: September 9, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial tests the effect of atezolizumab given with usual chemotherapy during radiation therapy in treating patients with superior sulcus non-small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, carboplatin, etoposide, paclitaxel and pemetrexed, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy beams to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving atezolizumab with usual chemotherapy and radiation therapy may lower the chance of the tumor from growing or spreading.

NCT ID: NCT04988399 Withdrawn - Tinnitus Clinical Trials

Internet-based Reiki for Tinnitus 2021

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objectives of the study will be 1) to develop and show the feasibility of an internet-based Reiki therapy as an intervention for tinnitus, 2) to deliver Reiki therapy for tinnitus as a potential treatment, 3) to maintain a meaningful cohort of participants over a 6-month protocol, and 4) to collect pilot data on the potential benefit of internet-based Reiki therapy on tinnitus-related quality of life. Patients will also be provided with information on other potential tinnitus therapies.
