NCT ID: NCT05172544 Completed - Yellow Fever Clinical Trials

Trial of an Inactivated Yellow Fever Virus Vaccine

Start date: January 13, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This trial will be a randomized, placebo controlled, double-blind (within dosing group), dose escalation Phase 1 trial, evaluating dosages of 1 mcg and 5 mcg of HydroVax-002 YFV vaccine given intramuscularly on Day 1 and Day 29 in up to 25 healthy adults healthy adults ≥ 18 and < 50 years of age. The primary objective is to assess the safety, reactogenicity, and tolerability of the HydroVax-002 YFV vaccine administered intramuscularly in a two-dose series on Days 1 and 29 at a dose of 1 mcg or a dose of 5 mcg.

NCT ID: NCT05172414 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

A Novel Fecal Sample Collection Method for Metagenomic Analyses

Start date: January 2, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an open-label, one-arm, one-time-point pilot assessing the intra- and inter-group variation of gut microbiome collection methods and storage conditions using metagenomic sequencing for analysis. This study recruited 6 adult volunteers collecting 12 fecal samples from one bowel movement. Subjects were given detailed instructions as to collect and store feces samples into the 4 different collection and preservation methods and return samples for metagenomic analysis.

NCT ID: NCT05172219 Completed - Smoking, Tobacco Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Electronic Portal Messaging and Embedded Asynchronous Care on Physician-Assisted Smoking Quit Attempts

Start date: January 13, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Among 10 PCPs, 200 adult smokers with an active patient portal who had been seen by a PCP within 12 months were randomly selected and randomly assigned to one of four conditions to compare the quit attempts of patients sent electronic outreach with and without asynchronous care link and to compare the quit attempts of patients who recieved the portal message from PCP or the health system.

NCT ID: NCT05172154 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

GlowTest COVID-19 Antigen Home Test Kit Usability Study

Start date: December 30, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of the GlowTest COVID-19 Antigen Home Test in Home Use.

NCT ID: NCT05172128 Completed - Alzheimer Disease Clinical Trials

Effect of Blueberry Supplementation on Alzheimer's Biomarkers

Start date: February 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to study the effects of blueberries on neuronal, glial, and pathology blood biomarkers in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and to estimate sample size for future confirmatory studies. The blood biomarkers to be measured are Neurofilament light (NfL), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), Aß40, Aß42, p-tau181, and cytokines, using an ultra-sensitive state-of-the-art immunoassay.

NCT ID: NCT05171803 Completed - COVID-19; Immunity Clinical Trials

Investigating Immune Escape by SARS-CoV-2 Variants

Start date: May 29, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this protocol is to investigate the ability of pre-existing immunity by natural infection or vaccination to prevent infections by emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants.

NCT ID: NCT05171088 Completed - Clinical trials for Colorectal Resection

Colorectal Resection in Emergency General Surgery

Start date: April 4, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Primary anastomosis is associated with higher rates of perioperative morbidity/mortality and that fecal diversion improves overall mortality, decreases length of stay, and lowers rates of surgical complications requiring unplanned operative intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05171010 Completed - Clinical trials for Traumatic Brain Injury

Geri-TBI: A Prospective Multi-center Evaluation of Geriatric Patients With Traumatic Brain Injury

Start date: November 29, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This multicenter prospective observational study is designed to prospectively record data on patients who are managed per institutional standard of care. The objectives of this study are to establish an aggregate database of information on baseline clinical and demographic characteristics, medication use, markers of frailty, injury characteristics, management strategies, and outcomes following TBI in geriatric patients, determine best practices for management of geriatric patients with TBI, and establish how markers of frailty correlate with outcome in geriatric patients with TBI.

NCT ID: NCT05170854 Completed - Cirrhosis Clinical Trials

The Impact of Liver Cirrhosis on Outcomes in Trauma Patients

Start date: October 16, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Given that there are only a few studies on the effects of cirrhosis on trauma patients and none have addressed the impact cirrhosis has on the incidence of infections, it is important that we study this to determine the mortality in cirrhotic trauma patients and ascertain the incidence of infectious complications in these patients. We hypothesize that trauma patients with cirrhosis will have higher rates of mortality and infectious complications.

NCT ID: NCT05170295 Completed - Clinical trials for Intracranial Pressure Increase

Noninvasive Monitoring of Cerebral Blood Flow Autoregulation

Start date: April 18, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Rheoencephalography (REG) shows promise as a method for noninvasive neuromonitoring, because it reflects cerebrovascular reactivity. This protocol will study clinical and technical conditions required to use REG. Additionally, our goal is to study noninvasive peripheral bioimpedance pulse waveforms in order to substitute invasive SAP. A previous study demonstrated that REG can be used to detect spreading depolarization (SD), the early sign of brain metabolic disturbance. SD can be measured invasively with DC EEG amplifiers only. Our goal is to create an automatic notification function for REG monitoring indicating change of clinical conditions.
