There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The Purpose of this study is to investigate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy of hSTC810 monotherapy in participants with advanced solid tumors.
Saie Beauty has developed 'Hydrabeam Sheer Brightening Under Eye Concealer' that is specifically designed for improving under-eye skin health. The concealer is aimed at improving under-eye skin features including hydration, firmness/elasticity, smoothness, and brightness. At the same time, it is aimed at reducing imperfections such as dark circles, skin redness, fine lines, wrinkles, and crow's feet. The aim is to understand and assess the efficacy of treatment from the participants' perspective and to see if the participants reported changes in skin features, dark circles, brightness, fine lines, wrinkles, crow's feet, and other skin imperfections.
The effects of a tested and published music therapy respiratory protocol shown to be efficacious with pediatric asthma and adult COPD is being studied with individuals living with post-Covid-19 respiratory symptoms. An interventional, single arm study is being conducted with individuals meeting eligibility criteria detailed below. Primary outcome is a change in the MRC Dyspnea score, with secondary aims focusing on improved quality of life, including reduced fatigue and depression and improved sleep and resilience.
This study is a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent surgery using a total talus replacement (TTR) implant with or without concurrent total ankle replacement and/or subtalar fusion. This study seeks to analyze the clinical and radiographic outcomes of TTR implant recipients and generate additional data on the safety and benefit of the TTR implant.
Fatigue is a pervasive and disabling symptom in sarcoidosis with limited treatment options. There is a significant association between heightened stress and sarcoidosis-associated fatigue. The proposed project will evaluate the usability/feasibility of a smartphone-based stress management application for the self-management of sarcoidosis-associated stress and fatigue.
The objective is to determine if how physical fitness, measured using a treadmill maximal oxidative capacity test, is associated with the capacity to metabolize a high-fat meal in pediatrics (ages 8-17 years). Ability to metabolize the meal will be assessed by profiling mitochondrial and extra-mitochondrial fatty acid metabolites. The investigators will test if fatty acid oxidation mediates the relationship between fitness and markers of metabolic health, such as insulin resistance.
Human cognitive function is affected by age-related changes, with some areas beginning to decline in mid-adulthood and worsening with age. However, there is evidence that dietary interventions or the incorporation of certain healthy foods or nutrients, into the diet can have protective effects against cognitive decline. These foods include nutrients such as polyunsaturated fats, vitamins E and C, and polyphenols. Pecans are a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants (including polyphenols), and vitamin E. Pecans contain more total phenols than any other tree nut suggesting that they may be an ideal bioactive food to enhance cognitive performance; however, the relationship between pecan consumption and cognitive functioning has never been assessed. The overall goal behind this research is to determine the relationship between antioxidant-rich pecans and cognitive functioning in a postprandial state.
The purpose of the study is to determine the effect acupuncture treatment on individuals with a diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis (MG). A total of 20 people with MG will be enrolled in this study to receive acupuncture treatment 2 times a week for 12 weeks. Participants will be randomized into two groups: 1) Immediate start and 2) Delayed start (12 weeks). The delayed start group will act as a control group for the first 12 weeks, but then receive acupuncture treatment for 12 weeks. It is hypothesized that patients with MG who receive acupuncture treatment will have improved quality of life and activities of daily living compared to no treatment.
Accurate estimation of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is crucial for the management of kidney recipients, since it is the most predictive parameter of allograft failure that drives patient monitoring and decision-making. Standard and recent race-free GFR equations have been developed in native kidneys, but their performances in transplant kidney population remains unknown. We aimed at developing a kidney-transplant-specific GFR equation, and comparing its performance to standard GFR equations.
Pilot study to provide a descriptive analysis of the real-world feasibility of using a CareCube for COVID-19 patients in a high-volume tertiary care hospital.
