There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the Kaligia Biosciences KBS Systems 1.0(b) analyte monitoring device is to measure the blood analyte levels in patients. The KBS Systems 1.0(b) device avoids the common practice of accessing the vein to draw blood for conventional laboratory analysis. Instead, the KBS Systems 1.0(b) device uses Raman Spectroscopy to acheive the measurement of various blood analytes through the use of only approximately 40µl of blood. Such a small volume of blood can be sampled via a finger prick procedure rather than needing a larger volume of blood sampled via a venipuncture. The spectra contain information of all the molecules present in the blood (RBCs, hemoglobin, glucose, sodium, potassium, etc.). From these spectra, the system is able to analyze the blood and provide results in a matter of minutes, rather than hours or even, in some cases, days.
This is a study to evaluate whether use of a pedometer following radical cystectomy decreases post-operative narcotic use and time to return of bowel function.
Low mobility is a mediator for poor outcomes of hospital care. Wearable devices will be used and 2-way texting via patient smartphones to monitor patients' physical activity during hospitalization with and without gamification to improve patient adherence to existing guidance on recommended activity. After discharge, investigators will assess patient care utilization (SNF, inpatient vs home rehab, ED visits, readmission) and conduct validated surveys on patient function at 30 days after discharge.
The goal of this study is to propose the first direct comparison of Ga-68-DOTATATE PET/CT or PET/MR and Ga-68-DOTATOC PET/CT in patients with meningioma.
The aim of the current project is to address a gap in the existing literature related to optimal placement of local anesthetic for an adductor canal (AC) block. The current study seeks to examine whether placement of the local anesthetic in the AC for knee surgery is more effective at reducing post-operative pain following arthroscopic knee surgery compared to a control. Specifically, if the anesthetic is more beneficial than the control group, the research will determine which location is optimal by comparing groups that receive anesthetic in the midpoint of the thigh, the proximal end of the thigh, or the distal end of the thigh.
The purpose of this project is to conduct a feasibility test of an ASD executive functioning intervention adapted for mental health settings, including examining the effectiveness and process of implementing this adapted intervention in community mental health programs.
The specificity and sensitivity of a novel seizure-detection mobile software application with a generalized tonic/clonic seizure detection algorithm (Motor Seizure Detection Algorithm [mSDA]) installed on a wearable device to be worn by the subject. The software will be tested using subjects from a patient population in an epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) undergoing video and electroencephalograph (VEEG) observation. The number of generalized major motor seizures detected by the mSDA will be compared with those detected by VEEG.
To compare the outcomes of the use of propofol, etomidate, and ketamine as induction agents for adult trauma patients undergoing intubation within 24 hours of admission. The primary goal is to determine the ideal agent that should be used in this patient population for intubations.
This is a prospective non-blinded randomized control pilot study comparing the effect of pulmonary vein isolation against medical management of atrial fibrillation in patients with Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF).
The initial goal is to ascertain the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of CBD (cannabidiol) after a single dose of CBDE (cannabidiol extract), although the plan is to extend these studies to multiple dose administrations in the future, since it is likely that (cannabidiol) and/or its metabolites will show some accumulation. These studies will provide detailed information that will inform the continuation and expansion of CBDE in other research projects.
