NCT ID: NCT05782218 Completed - Nutrition, Healthy Clinical Trials

Healthy Unique Lipids From Almonds

HULA
Start date: March 31, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project will address the notion that "healthy" lipids such as monounsaturated fatty acids in almonds can be used by the bacteria living in our gut to generate "new" molecules with potentially interesting health properties. This metabolite pattern is anticipated to differ significantly when compared to non-almond foods rich in saturated fats.

NCT ID: NCT05781685 Completed - Acute Pain Clinical Trials

The Influence of Testosterone on Experimental Pain Perception

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This trial examined how the administration of exogenous testosterone would influence pain tolerance and other endogenous steroids (i.e. estradiol and progesterone).

NCT ID: NCT05780866 Completed - Parkinson Disease Clinical Trials

Remote Monitoring in Parkinson's Disease

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this observational study is to learn about the usefulness of physical activity measures and tremor detection using wearable devices and smartphone video to detect and evaluate disease burden in people with Parkinson's disease. Participants will wear an activity tracker at home and complete a short research visit where they will make a video using a smartphone of themselves performing a fine motor task. They will wear the activity tracker for two weeks at home.

NCT ID: NCT05780801 Completed - Clinical trials for Multi-Drug Resistant Organism

Sentinel Cohort REACT

Start date: April 24, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to better understand the efficacy and safety of microbiome therapies (MT) in patients with Multidrug Resistant Organism (MDRO) colonization who are admitted to Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH). This use of MT has been studied in other small studies to treat MDRO colonization, further study of the effect of MT on the transmission of MDRO to other patients is needed. This study will test the safety of the MT for this use in LTACH patients, and how well it works to help design larger studies. Importance to the field: MDRO colonization increases the risk of subsequent infection and transmission to others, however, there are no approved therapies for decolonization or reduction of the burden of colonization with MDROs. MT like Allogeneic Microbiota in Glycerol (AMG) has been shown to have ~ 60-90% efficacy for decolonization and an acceptable safety profile but has not been studied in this population for this indication. Study population: patients admitted to long-term care facilities (e.g. LTACHs and ventilator-capable skilled nursing facilities [vSNF]) found to be MDRO colonized during prevalence screening activities. The MT AMG will be delivered through an already existing feeding tube or into the rectum as an enema.

NCT ID: NCT05780463 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

MP0420 for Inpatients With COVID-19 (An ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial)

Start date: June 11, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of MP0420 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either MP0420 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H5.

NCT ID: NCT05780424 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

BRII-196/BRII-198 for Inpatients With COVID-19 (An ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial)

Start date: December 16, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of BRII-196/BRII-198 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either BRII-196/BRII-198 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H3.

VIR-7831 for Inpatients With COVID-19 (An ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial)

Start date: December 16, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of VIR-7831 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either VIR-7831 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H2.

Study type: Interventional

This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of LY3819253 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either LY3819253 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H1.

NCT ID: NCT05780047 Completed - Clinical trials for Environmental Exposure

Personalized Mobile Intervention to Reduce Exposure to Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals in Adults of Child-Bearing Age

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this intervention study is to determine to what extent the Million Marker (MM) program reduces users' endocrine disruption chemical (EDC) exposure levels and changes their environmental health awareness and behaviors. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Can the investigators see a reduction in EDC levels in participants' urine samples after using the MM Detect and Detox kit? - Can the investigators see a change in participants' environmental health literacy, knowledge, and behaviors after using MM's products and services? - How can Million Marker improve their app and platform to improve the user experience? Participants will collect their urine pre- and post-intervention, and will take a comprehensive exposure survey (via the MM app) before sending back their samples. This exposure survey will ask about participant's product use, diet, and lifestyle behaviors. Participants will also fill out surveys pre- and post-intervention assessing their perception of environmental health, as well as usability of the platform.
