Live Video Mind-body Treatment to Prevent Persistent Symptoms Following mTBI

Start date: October 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigator aims to conduct a pilot randomized controlled trial to test the feasibility of two symptom management programs for college-age individuals with recent concussions and anxiety, TOR-C 1 and TOR-C 2. The investigator will assess the feasibility of recruitment procedures (screening, eligibility, and enrollment) and data collection as well as the feasibility, credibility, and acceptability of the programs (adherence, retention, fidelity, and satisfaction), following prespecified benchmarks. Both programs will be delivered virtually (Zoom).

NCT ID: NCT05524181 Active, not recruiting - Alzheimer Disease Clinical Trials

Telehealth-enabled Integrated Palliative Care for People With Dementia

IBC
Start date: June 29, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In prior work, this team developed a telehealth primary care model (TIPC), designed in close partnership with patients and clinicians to address a widespread increase in telehealth use during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research team will test the TIPC intervention to assess support for patients among a population of persons with dementia (PwD). Participants will be enrolled in the study for a 12 month period. This study's aims are 1) to explore the impact of the TIPC intervention on patient-important outcomes, engagement with community-based support provided through insurers, advanced care planning (primarily identification of health-care proxy), and patterns of hospice and healthcare utilization in the target population and 2) to evaluate patient, caregiver, and clinical team perspectives of feasibility and acceptability of a TIPC model, and apply findings from this work to the development of a larger randomized control trial designed to assess long-term efficacy of TIPC intervention.

NCT ID: NCT05524025 Active, not recruiting - HPV Infection Clinical Trials

NEPTUNE
Start date: November 14, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the clinical safety and efficacy of oral brepocitinib in participants with active intermediate, posterior, or pan non-infectious uveitis (NIU).

NCT ID: NCT05523414 Active, not recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

The Effect of SKY Breath Meditation on Health and Well-being

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this pilot SKY (Sudarshan Kriya Yoga) Breath Meditation study is to establish feasibility and acceptability of the intervention; and investigate preliminary effectiveness of the intervention at the DNA methylation, RNA and protein levels in blood samples collected from participants before and after the 8 week SKY intervention. Primary outcomes also include preliminary effectiveness at the physiological level using a wearable device used for continuous monitoring. Secondary outcome measures include behavioral inventories.

NCT ID: NCT05523375 Active, not recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Promoting Successful Weight Loss in Primary Care in Louisiana Using Information Technology

NCT ID: NCT05523154 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Malignant Pancreatic Neoplasm

"Answers in Hours" A Randomized Controlled Trial Using Microbiome Metagenomics for Bile Duct Cultures

Start date: January 19, 2023
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This early phase I trial evaluates nanopore sequencing for its ability to detect bacteria in bile and prevent surgical site infections in patients undergoing surgery for benign or malignant pancreatic tumors. Surgical site infections are a significant source of poor outcomes in patients undergoing surgery for pancreatic tumors. In most patients who develop this kind of infection, the bacteria identified as causing the infection is also frequently found to be in the bile at time of surgery. Using nanopore sequencing to detect bacteria in the bile of patients undergoing surgery may allow doctors to prevent surgical site infections or treat them sooner or more effectively.

NCT ID: NCT05522361 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Risdiplam in Patients With Spinal Muscular Atrophy Previously Treated With Nusinersen

RISE
Start date: November 6, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Risdiplam Exchange (RISE) is a study of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) patients who crossover to 36 months of open-label risdiplam monotherapy following a comparable period of nusinersen treatment. The schedule of assessments (SOAs) carry over seamlessly for the cohort from studies done while treated with nusinersen and continue to track the most informative outcomes from that trial (e.g. nine hole peg test and grip strength), while adding the Box and Block Test (BBT) as an additional measure of upper limb endurance and function.
