NCT ID: NCT04556877 Completed - Clinical trials for Intraabdominal Hypertension

Different Intra-abdominal Pressures and Optic Nerve Size

Start date: June 15, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

In intensive care patients, high intraabdominal pressure is frequently encountered. Intra-abdominal pressure is often measured as high, especially after major abdominal surgery procedures. In recent years, various studies have reported that the increase in optic nerve diameter measured by ultrasound correlates with the level of intracranial pressure. Optic nerve diameter measurement with ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure. Intra-abdominal pressure measurements are also routinely performed in intensive care patients. In the measurement of abdominal pressure, the bladder catheter, which is already available in every patient who comes to intensive care, is used. In this study, the intra-abdominal pressure values present in the file of each patient undergoing major abdominal surgery who were taken to intensive care unit will be taken. Orbital USG will be performed on the 6th, 12th and 24th hours on admission to the intensive care unit to measure the diameter of the optic nerve, and the relationship between the intra-abdominal pressure value and optic nerve diameters will be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT04556708 Completed - Clinical trials for Periodontal Diseases

Ozonated Water Irrigation as an Adjunct to Periodontal Therapy

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The use of chlorhexidine or ozonized water in periodontal pockets accompanying NPT can provide a significant improvement in probing pocket depths compared to conventional treatment. However, the effect of subgingival ozonized water applications on VEGF and IGF levels, which are thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease and periodontal regeneration, should be examined.

NCT ID: NCT04556500 Completed - Metabolic Disease Clinical Trials

Turkish Version of the Affordance in the Home Environment for Motor Development-Toddler (AHEMD-T)

Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aimed to translate the Affordance in the Home Environment for Motor Development -Toddler (AHEMD-T) into Turkish and examine its psychometric properties.

NCT ID: NCT04556487 Completed - Metabolic Disease Clinical Trials

Turkish Affordances in the Home Environment for Motor Development-Infant Scale (AHEMD-IS)

Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Environment which children live and grown is very important for the all development stages. In Turkey there is no measurement for home environment evaluation so our aim is to investigate the Psychometric Properties of the Turkish version of Affordances in the Home Environment for Motor Development-Infant Scale (AHEMD-IS) in a sample of Turkısh children.

NCT ID: NCT04556006 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Disease Management for Coronary Artery Patients

Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized controlled trial was conducted with 58 patients hospitalized in the cardiology clinic of a state hospital. Personal Information Form, Anthropometric measurements, Framingham risk score, and compliance questionnaire (CQ) were used to collect the data.

NCT ID: NCT04555954 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Determining the Physical Activity Level of Healthy Adults During Pandemic

Start date: April 11, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Abstract Background: With Covid-19 pandemic, online education, remote and flexible working were introduced. Thus the process of stay-at-home began. Purpose: The aim of the study is to determine level of physical activity of healthy adults in the pandemic process. Methods: This is a descriptive survey study which was applied via internet. The physical activity level was evaluated with International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form. Healthy adults aged 18-65 years who live in Turkey were included in the study.

NCT ID: NCT04555772 Completed - Brain Injuries Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Factors That Cause Secondary Brain Damage on Mortality and Morbidity in Patients Undergoing Emergency Surgery Due to Head Trauma.

Start date: January 11, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Traumatic brain injury is combination damage that occurs as a result of a chain reaction of various metabolic events that develop after primary damage caused by trauma. Pathological events such as lactic acidosis, electrolyte imbalance, increased inflammation that occur during traumatic brain injury leads to poor prognosis in patients. The retrospective study was conducted to investigate the effect of factors that may cause secondary damage, especially electrolyte imbalance and blood glucose levels, on mortality and morbidity in patients undergoing emergency surgery due to head trauma.

NCT ID: NCT04555460 Completed - Cerebral Herniation Clinical Trials

Hemicraniectomy in Patients With Malign Middle Cerebral Artery Infarction

Start date: January 23, 2003
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial is a prospective, randomized, controlled, clinical trial based on a stroke center. We randomly assigned 151 patients 41 years of age or older (median, 65 years; range, 41 to 83) with malignant middle cerebral artery infarction to either conservative medical treatment or hemicraniectomy; assignments were made within 12 to 38 hours after the onset of symptoms. The primary end point was survival with slight or moderate disability 12 months after randomization (defined by a score of 0 to 3 on the modified Rankin scale, which ranges from 0 [no symptoms] to 6 [death]). Secondary outcome included death, Barthel Index, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale, and Stroke Impact Scale 2.0 (SIS) 6 months and 1 year after randomization. Variables for subgroup analyses were age, sex, presence of aphasia or neglect, stroke severity and time to randomization. The study was performed according to Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT).

NCT ID: NCT04555356 Completed - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

The Effect Of Low Back Pain on Paraspinal Muscles

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Low back pain is frequently seen in the adolescent age group, with a prevalence approaching that of the adult age group. The most common type is non-specific, self-limiting low back pain. LDH is rare in children and adolescents and generally presents with low back pain, with or without radiculopathy. The condition is usually unilateral (especially L4-5 or L5-S1). LDH is also mostly central type. Although there are many studies that have investigated the relationship between paraspinal muscle volumes and LBP and/or LDH in the adult age group, there are very few studies in adolescents. The principal aim of this study was to compare MF, ES, and PM volumes in adolescents with LBP with and without LDH using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to determine whether these two conditions cause paraspinal muscle volume loss.

NCT ID: NCT04554654 Recruiting - Infertility, Female Clinical Trials

Progesterone Levels and Endometrial Compaction in Frozen-Thawed Embryo Transfer Cycles

Start date: June 15, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This study is intended to determine whether there is a correlation between endometrial compaction and serum progesterone levels on the day of frozen embryo transfers by using transvaginal sonography for the endometrial assessment.
