There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of education and music listening on the anxiety and physiological parameters experienced by individuals undergoing elective coronary angiography.
The investigators aimed to compare two different forearm positions, extension-pronation (EP) or neutral, for fixation of the long head of the biceps tendon (LHB) in biceps tenodesis.
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of post-stroke discharge training and telephone counseling service on patients' functional status and caregiver burden. The study was conducted with 69 stroke patients (34 in the intervention group and 35 in the control group) and their caregivers. In the study, data were collected before discharge and three months after discharge. Discharge training and telephone counseling (one week after discharge and once a month for three months) were given to the caregivers of the patients in the intervention group.
This study aims to evaluate the role of angiotensin II, AT1, and AT2 on catecholomine responsive and catecholomine resistant septic shock, and the effect of hydrocortisone traetment on catecholomine resistant septic shock and angiotensin II, AT1, and AT2.Angiotensin II can be used as a biomarker of vasoplegia observed in refractory septic shock unresponsive to catecholamine. In these patients; therapeutic effect of hydrocortisone on hypotension was performed by decreasing AT 2 level, AT2 should be investigated as a therapeutic target in the treatment of vasoplegia-induced hypotension and SVRI measured by minimally invasive cardiac output method suggests that it can be used as a useful parameter in the diagnosis and follow-up of vasoplegia.
The aim of this study was to compare IMA, MDA, CAT, GSH and ADA levels in gingival crevicular fluid, serum and saliva of periodontally hopeless, periodontitis and gingivitis teeth with healthy control groups.
Introduction-Objective: The application of transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA) is gradually increasing recently. However, it is not clear whether TOETVA is a true minimally invasive thyroidectomy compared to open conventional thyroidectomy. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the TOETVA and open conventional thyroidectomy techniques in terms of postoperative inflammatory response, pain and patient satisfaction. Material and Method: In this prospective study, 40 female patients between the ages of 18-65 were divided into 2 groups of 20 patients: TOETVA: 20 patients, open thyroidectomy: 20 patients. Operation time, inflammatory response with IL-6, white blood cell (WBC) and C-reactive protein (CRP), postoperative pain, postoperative complications and patient satisfaction were evaluated in both groups.
We aimed to find out whether the tonsils and nasal tissues of pediatric patients are the main factors that protects the children's immune system against COVID-19 infection.
In this multicenter study; it was aimed to investigate the effectiveness and safety of ivermectin use in the treatment of patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia that have no mutations which alter ivermectin metabolism and cause side effects.
Articaine is a common local anesthetic used in oral surgery and belongs to the amide group of it has fast onset with little side effects. Bupivacaine is preferred in prolonged surgical procedures with its long duration of action and residual analgesic effect. The aim of this study was to evaluate the anesthetic, analgesic, hemodynamic effects of 4% articaine and 0.5% bupivacaine in extraction of impacted mandibular third molar teeth in intraoperative and postoperative periods. Hemodynamic parameters, onset of anesthetic action, total amount, intraoperative comfort, intraoperative bleeding, duration of postoperative anesthesia and analgesia, rescue analgesic use, maximum incisal opening and postoperative pain at 6th, 12th, 24th, 48th and 72th hours and 7th day using a visual analogue scale be evaluated.
Telephone, internet-connected devices (phablet, pc), chat platforms, mobile applications (Skype, Facebook messenger, Whatsapp, to name a few) can be exploited for telemedicine applications. Whatsapp and similar applications are widely used to facilitate clinical communication between physicians, too. Moreover, Whatsapp is used between ED physicians and consultant physicians during ED consultations in which medical information is exchanged. This platform is regarded as a useful application in the consultation of dermatological and orthopaedic cases. Preventing the overcrowding in the ED is key to reducing the transmission risk, and teleconsulting practice is thought to be effective in the diagnosis, treatment and reduction of the risk of disease transmission, most notably in the Covid-19 pandemic process. Video consulting is highly recommended in some countries on the grounds that it is likely to reduce the risk of transmission. Whatsapp-like applications are one of the video-consulting platforms assumed to reduce the risk of contamination by minimizing the patient-doctor contact. This study thus sets out to investigate the effect of Whatsapp video consultation upon patient admission and discharge times in comparison to bedside consultation in the evaluation of potential Covid-19 patients visiting the Covid-19 outpatient clinic during the pandemic period. The subjects who presented to ED Covid-19 outpatient clinic between March 11, 2020 and May 31, 2020 and for whom an infectious diseases (ID) physician was consulted (via Whatsapp or at bedside) will be included in the study in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Eventually, 54 patients whose consultations were made via Whatsapp and 90 patients whose consultations were made at bedside will be in this study.
