Patient perceived quality of recovery is an important outcome after surgery and should be measured in clinical trials. The QoR-15 was designed to measure quality of recovery after surgery. It provided an efficient evaluation of the postoperative quality of recovery. The primary objectives of this study is to translate the original QoR-15 questionnaire into Turkish, and do a full psychometric evaluation of the Turkish version. We will test its validity, reliability, responsiveness, and clinical acceptability and feasibility, with patients undergoing abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, gynecological, urologic, eye and ENT surgery, in the University of Health Sciences, Gülhane Education and Rraining Hospital Ankara, Türkiye.

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of different but safe levels of arterial oxygen levels used in cardiac surgeries on cerebral oxygenation during the operation. It is also to investigate the effect on cognitive functions in the postoperative period. For our study the investigators will conduct a randomized control trial. Patients will be randomly assigned to one of two possible study groups according to the arterial oxygen levels. If there is any abnormality in cerebral oxygen levels during surgery, necessary intervention will be made by doctors.
The general purpose of this project is; Evaluation of cerebral oxygenation results in premature infants. These results will be evaluated in two different applications. The first practice and the first sub-aim of the study is to determine the effect of kangaroo care on cerebral oxygenation (rSO2) in premature infants. The second application and purpose is to determine the effect of giving the infant the facilitated tucking position by hand and the nesting bed on the cerebral oxygenation (rSO2) of the infant during the heel blood collection process. The study will be conducted between December 2020 and December 2021 at Level III NICU at the Medical Faculty Hospital in Konya.

Primary treatment in nasopharynx cancers is radiotherapy (RT) or chemoradiotherapy (CRT) depending on the stage of the tumor. According to the guidelines, the dose of radiotherapy for primary tumors varies between 66-70 Gy. In consideration of modern radiotherapy techniques like IMRT with systemic chemotherapy for nasopharyngeal cancer, loco-regional control has been perfect. However, the rate of late complications from treatment, many of which are irreversible, is still high. Radiation-related optic neuropathy is the late complication that optic nerves might be affected during the radiotherapy due to the close location of the nasopharynx. Incidence of this is 8.7-9% in head and neck cancer and is observed between 2-9 years after RT. Painless, irreversible, and progressive vision loss usually occurs, and the pallor of optic disc margins, retinal vein dilatation, bleeding, and neovascularization are in the ophthalmic examination. The risk of optic neuropathy increases when the tumor is in close contact with optic nerves, radiation dose, concurrent chemotherapy used, history of diabetes or hypertension. The aim of our study is to prospectively evaluate optic neuropathy in nasopharynx cancer patients treated in our clinic.
