The study was performed with 80 primiparous women as intervention (n: 40) and control (n: 40) groups. The teach-back method is applied to the intervention group and standard education method is applied to the control group to give breastfeeding education. In the study, data collection tools, introductory information collection form, LATCH Breastfeeding Diagnostic and Evaluation Scale, Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Short Form Scale were used. The data were collected between the first 24 hours, 2nd and 5th days postpartum, on the 13th and 15th days and the 30th and 40th days. Independent t-test, multivariate and one-way analysis of variance, Bonferroni-matched paired t-test were used to evaluate the data. .

NCT ID: NCT04808232 Completed - Hot Flashes Clinical Trials

The Effect of Health Education and Progressive Muscle Relaxation Exercise on Vasomotor Symptoms and Sleep Problems With Perimenopausal Women

Start date: February 17, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to determine the effect of health education and progressive muscle relaxation exercise (PMRE) on vasomotor symptoms and sleep problems in women with perimenopausal period; a randomized, pretest-posttest is a randomized controlled, factorial group experimental study. The research was conducted in a family health center. The required institutional permission and ethics committee approval was received. The sample consisted of 90 women totally, 30 of whom in the PMRE + health education group, 30 of whom in the PMRE group and 30 of whom in the control group. The data was collected using personal information form, Visual Analog Scale for Vasomotor Symptoms (VAS), Women's Health Initiative Insomnia Rating Scale-WHIIRS, vasomotor symptom diary, progressive muscle relaxation exercise follow-up schedule, and health education practice follow-up schedule. The data were stored in the SPSS 24 program. In the analysis of the data, ANOVA test, Repeated Measures test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Friedman test and χ2 test statistics were used.

NCT ID: NCT04807556 Completed - Clinical trials for Functional Assessment Scale of Physical Performance (Alusti Test) for the Geriatric Population

The Alusti Test:Functional Evaluation Scale of Physical Performance in the Geriatric Population

Start date: November 2, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

With the Alusti Test, which is created by Josu Alustiza Navarro considering the existing tests, the physical performances of geriatricians with different levels and cognitive capacity are evaluated in a very short time and without tiring the patient. There are 2 versions, short and full. The short version is applicable to 100% of the large population, including "and cases of cognitive impairment. With the full version, it has nearly 85-90% applicability." However, there is no study regarding the English version and validity reliability of the 'Alusti Test. For this purpose, it is to investigate the English validity and reliability of the functional assessment scale of physical performance (Alusti Test) for the geriatric population and to provide a measurement tool to be used in the English literature to the sciences who want to work in this field.
