There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The effects of COVID-19 on body systems and functions are still being investigated. ACE 2, which plays a key role in the entry of the COVID-19 virus into the cell, is also highly expressed in the ovary, uterus, vagina, and placenta in the female genital system, which can also pose a risk to female reproductive health. The aim of this study is to evaluate menstrual cycle-induced pain, fatigue and anxiety in women who suffered from COVID-19.
Aim: This study was planned as randomized controlled to determine the effect of music therapy applied before and during angiography on pain, anxiety and physiological parameters after angiography. The study was planned as a pre-test, post-test design, single center, randomized controlled experimental study. The study is planned to be conducted in the coronary angiography (CAG) unit of a university hospital between January 2021 and December 2021., the study sample will be composed of a total of 102 individuals, 34 in each group (intervention 1 group listening to music before the procedure = 34, intervention 2 group listening to music during the procedure = 34, control group = 34).Data in the research; The Introductory Form will be collected using the State-Trait Anxiety Scale, Vital Signs Follow-up Form and Visual Pain Scale (VAS).Patients in the Intervention 1 group will be offered Turkish Folk, Classical, Turkish Art and Sufi Music as an option, and the music preferred by the patients will be played with headphones for 15-20 minutes before the CAG procedure.Patients in the Intervention 2 group will be offered Turkish Folk, Classical, Turkish Art and Sufi Music as an option, and the music preferred by the patients will be played through a speaker that will be placed in the angiography hall during the CAG procedure. Routine care will be applied to patients in this group and music therapy will not be applied.
To evaluate cervical proprioception (CP), frontal plane target platforms defined Revel technique measurement commonly used as an alternative to the Cervical Range of Motion (CROM) device in laser measurements for the head repositioning accuracy (HRA) test. However, when evaluating CP, the plane where the movement of the atlanto-axial joint takes place is the horizontal plane. Therefore, the investigators aimed to investigate the validity and reliability of CP measurements conducted via AOS PropPoint® device on the horizontal and frontal platforms, and the investigators hypothesized that horizontal platform measurement is more reliable and valid than frontal plane measurement.
The investigators aimed to compare the pre-post operative effects of video-assisted thoracoscopy surgery (VATS) and thoracotomy on pulmonary function, exercise capacity, physical activity level, respiratory and peripheral muscle strength, inspiratory muscle endurance, quality of life, fatigue, dyspnea perception and pain in patients with pulmonary nodules.
Lung ultrasonography (LUS) is also used in COVID 19 pneumonia for diagnostic and follow-up purposes. It has been demonstrated in different studies that it can be used for pathologies in pleural and lung tissue. LUS was applied by different researchers by dividing the lungs into 12 and 14 regions and the results were shared.
The duration of diabetes is directly related to eye complications. Diabetic retinopathy affects 80 percent of those who have had diabetes for 20 years or more. At least 90% of new cases can be reduced with proper treatment and monitoring of the eyes. The longer a person has diabetes, the more likely it is to develop diabetic retinopathy. Each year in the United States, diabetic retinopathy accounts for 12% of all new cases of blindness. It is also the leading cause of blindness in people between the ages of 20 and 64. The most important complication of diabetes leading to vision loss is diabetic retinopathy. Depending on this, macular edema, bleeding into the retina and vitreous, neovascular glaucoma can cause blindness. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a leading cause of vision-loss globally. Of an estimated 285 million people with diabetes mellitus worldwide, approximately one third have signs of DR and of these, a further one third of DR is vision-threatening DR, including diabetic macular edema (DME). Diabetic retinopathy is a retinal disease that can often be stopped with early diagnosis, but if neglected, it can lead to severe vision loss, including permanent blindness. Diabetes has high morbidity and there are millions of people who should be screened for diabetic retinopathy (DR). Annual eye screening is recommended for all diabetic patients since vision loss can be prevented if DR is diagnosed in its early stages. Currently, the number of clinical personnel trained for DR screening is less than that needed to screen a growing diabetic population. Therefore, the automatic DR screening system will be able to screen more diabetic patients and diagnose them early. EyeCheckup is an automated retinal screening device designed automatically analyze color fundus photographs of diabetic patients to identify patients with referable or vision threatening DR. This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of EyeCheckup. The study is a single center study to determine the sensitivity and specificity of EyeCheckup to diabetic retinopathy. EyeCheckup is an automated software device that is designed to analyze ocular fundus digital color photographs taken in frontline primary care settings in order to quickly screen for diabetic retinopathy (DR).
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of PRF, CGF and AFG application on early wound healing after gingivectomy and gingivoplasty operations. In the study designed split mouth, gingivectomy and gingivoplasty surgery were performed on 19 patients. The postoperative PRF, CGF, and AFG applied areas were compared with the control regions. 0th,7 th,14 th and 28 th on the days, the surgical area was painted with mira-2-tone solution and evaluated in the ImageJ program. Measurements of clinical periodontal parameters including PI, GI, SC and SD were recorded at the beginning, after IPT and 28 days after the operation. Wound healing was evaluated with H2O2 test, VAS-Pain, and LTH index on 7th, 14th and 28th days. The patients were asked to evaluate their aesthetic perceptions on the VAS aesthetic scale.
The aim of this prospective, randomized, controlled, single-blind study is to determine the effects of dextrose prolotherapy on shoulder pain and functions in patients with chronic rotator cuff disease.
The main purpose of this study is to reveal the effectiveness of the Knack maneuver and lifestyle recommendations program to be given in addition to the pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) program, which has been proven to be effective in individuals with urinary incontinence symptoms after prostatectomy. This study is a prospective, controlled, randomized clinical trial. The study includes an 8-week pelvic floor muscle training, Knack maneuver and lifestyle recommendations. In summary, it is stated in the literature that PFMT and lifestyle recommendations are beneficial in the treatment of urinary incontinence (UI). However, although there is evidence of the effectiveness of the Knack maneuver in stress UI in women, there is no evidence of the Knack maneuver in urinary incontinence after prostatectomy. On the other hand, the literature on the effect of lifestyle recommendations after prostatectomy is very limited. Therefore, the aim of this study is to reveal the effectiveness of the Knack maneuver and lifestyle recommendations program, which will be given in addition to the PFMT program, which has been demonstrated in individuals with UI complaints after radical prostatectomy, in a randomized controlled design.
The study will aim to estimate the efficacy of apremilast compared with placebo in the treatment of juvenile psoriatic arthritis (JPsA) in pediatric participants 5 to less than 18 years of age.
