There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study was planned as a single blind randomized controlled experimental study to investigate the effect of manual pressure applied before injection and ShotBlocker's pain and injection satisfaction due to intramuscular injection. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 120 patients over the age of 18 who applied to the Emergency Service of a public hospital and were requested Diclofenac Sodium 75mg / 3ml. The patients were included in the experiment I (shotblocker), experiment II (manual compression) and the control group with the randomization list created on the computer. In the ShotBlocker group, the ShotBlocker was kept throughout the injection, and in the manual compression group, manual pressure was applied to the injection area for 10 seconds before injection, and in the control group, IM injection was applied without using any tools. Before the injection, the heart rate and blood pressure values of the patient were measured and recorded. Visual Comparison Scale and Injection Satisfaction Scale were administered to the patient in the first minute after the injection. Pulse and blood pressure values were measured and recorded again. Finally, the patient introduction form was filled. Parametric or nonparametric statistical tests and correlation test were used in the analysis of the data.
The care of children with Cerebral Palsy is a process that continues for many years. Individuals who take care of them experience musculoskeletal pain due to the difficulties they experience and face pain that becomes chronic over time. For individuals who take care of children with CP, determining the types of chronic pain is important in order to clarify the classification criteria and for individuals to reach better living standards by tailoring the treatments they will receive. Therefore, the aim of the study is to determine the types of chronic pain in caregivers for children with cerebral palsy.
This study, designed according to the randomized pre-test and post-test control group experimental model, will be carried out with the patients who apply to the Diabetes Education Unit of Samsun Training and Research Hospital The universe of the study will consist of adult patients between the ages of 20-65 among the diabetic patients who apply to Samsun Training and Research Hospital Diabetes Education Unit. The sample of the study will consist of 100 diabetic patients who comply with the selection criteria and volunteer to participate in the study. The average scores of Hensarling's Diabetes Family Support Scale in Diabetes Patients were determined as 64.12, with an error margin of %5% and a 95% confidence interval, with a sample size of 80% with a sample size of 35 patients for each group, a total of 70 patients. Considering the participant losses during the project, 50 diabetic patients (experiment = 50, control = 50) for each group were determined as a total sample group of 100 diabetic patients with 50% reserve. Personal questionnaire prepared by the researcher in line with the literature, Health Belief Model Scale in Diabetes Patients, Hensarling's Diabetes Family Support Scale and Diabetes Attitude Scale will be used. The purpose of the study will be explained to the diabetic patients who apply to Samsun Training and Research Hospital Diabetes Education Unit and the study will be carried out with diabetic patients who agree to participate in the study. Diabetes patients will be divided into experimental and control groups by Simple Random Method. A training program will be applied to the diabetic patient and their family members included in the experimental group. After the training, a reminder text message will be sent to their phones twice a week for three months and they will be called once a month. Three months after the end of the training, the control will be called for examination.
Data on pain after COVID-19 were generally collected from hospitalized patients and only include information on acute pain conditions. However, the characteristics of the chronic pain experienced after COVID-19 are unknown. For this reason, the treatment and recommendations for patients who present with chronic pain after COVID-19 are not clear. Our goal is to determine the characteristics and risk factors of chronic pain developing in COVID-19 patients and to create specific treatment recommendations for these patient groups with further studies.
Although labor pain is a physiological and natural process, when the woman cannot cope with labor pain, the health of the mother and fetus is negatively affected. These negative effects mostly focus on the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, neuroendocrine and limbic system. During birth, the mother becomes exhausted due to pain and has to use all her energy to cope with the pain. When the mother can effectively cope with the pain of labor, she starts motherhood with a positive experience, experiences the happiness of actively participating in the birth of the baby, can participate in practices with health professionals, and the problems that can be seen in the newborn are reduced because there is no need for medication. Standard treatment of local or locally advanced prostate cancer is radical prostatectomy (RRP) surgery. During RRP in certain patients extended lymph node dissection (ELND) is recommended. to detect eligible patients for ELND some nomograms based on clinical factors of them is used. The Briganti nomogram is one of them. If the patient has 7% or more probability on Briganti nomogram, then ELND is recommended. But ELND is complicated surgical procedure and may cause labor lost and cost. It is aimed here to show whether the ICG based fluorescence imaging during laparoscopy may yield higher accuracy to detect metastatic LNs than the conventional ELND?
Chronic neck pain causes errors in joint position. There are studies in the literature suggesting that the application of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization improves the sense of joint position. There are no studies that acutely examine this practice on joint position sense and pain in the cervical region. As a result of our study, we will investigate the effects of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization in a single session on perception of pain and joint position.
The current study aims to determine the diagnostic accuracy of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography- Computed Tomography (PET-CT) in predicting a pathological response of molecular subtypes of breast cancer to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).
