There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In recent years, applications designed specifically to encourage physical activity in the field of mobile technology have gained momentum. As a result of the literature research, no examples of mobile health applications developed with educational content on fistula care, which hemodialysis-dependent patients can reach at any time and place, have not been found. Based on this, it was planned to increase the knowledge level of arteriovenous fistula care and examine their self-care behaviors and their adaptation to the disease with the mobile application developed with a focus on education on fistula care, which can be used independently by machine-dependent hemodialysis patients. In this context, it is aimed that dialysis patients will benefit especially in arteriovenous fistula care applications, thanks to the ever-increasing mobile applications in daily use with the developing technology. It is thought that the use of these technology-based trainings will be more comfortable, useful and encouraging for their own self-care. It is planned to be a guide for healthcare professionals.
The aim of this study is to support development of asciminib in the pediatric population (1 to <18 years) previously treated with one or more TKIs. Full extrapolation of the efficacy of asciminib from adult to pediatric patients will be conducted. Full extrapolation is based on the concept that CML in the pediatric population has the same pathogenesis, similar clinical characteristics and progression pattern as in adults.
In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate the intervention preferences of patients with obstructive urinary stones who are suitable for operation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The secondary aim is to compare and evaluate the preferences compared to the pre-pandemic period and to gain a perspective on how the decision-making process has changed from the patient's point of view. Thus, by trying to understand how the COVID-19 epidemic affects the treatment choice decisions of patients, the investigators aim to determine how the state of anxiety changes these preferences.
This study aimed to investigate the effect of rıgıd brace treatment on spinopelvic parameters and GAP score in patients with adolescent hyperkyphosis. This was a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data. Thirty-two patients who were diagnosed with structural hyperkyphosis and treated with CAD-CAM design rigid brace were included in the study in Formed Healthcare Scoliosis Treatment and Brace Center between December 2015-2020.
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of foot reflexology applied to primiparous women who had cesarean section in the postpartum period on pain, fatigue, sleep quality and lactation. This research is a randomized controlled trial. The study was conducted in Şanlıurfa, which has the highest fertility rate in Turkey.
Surgery-induced pain reveals its own metabolic and inflammatory responses, resulting in a further increase in noxious pathways that are already occurring. Even though it is difficult to distinguish whether the metabolic and inflammatory responses are pain-induced or surgical-induced, it is clear that pain can cause a response. This study aims to investigate the effects of erector spinae plane block on surgery-related stress response with enhanced recovery after cardiac surgery protocol.
The researchers investigated whether endoscopic retrograde urethral interventions applied for various reasons after radical prostatectomy (RP) operation cause a change in urinary incontinence (UI) level, and if there is a change, whether it changes according to the endoscopic procedure time and the endoscopic instrument used.
This is a study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of belzutifan monotherapy in participants with advanced pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PPGL), pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET), von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) Disease-Associated Tumors, Advanced Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (wt GIST), or Advanced Solid Tumors With hypoxia inducible factor-2 alpha (HIF-2α) related genetic alterations. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the objective response rate (ORR) of belzutifan per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) by blinded independent central review (BICR).
Total knee replacement (TKR) is the most effective treatment modality for the correction of knee deformities, increasing the knee functions (KF), relieving pain, and improving quality of life (QoL) of patients. According to the health statistics of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), TKR is most commonly used in Sweden (240/100,000), United States (226/100,000), and Austria (215/100,000), while this rate is estimated as 67/100,000 in Turkey (OECD, 2017). Although it has been increasingly applied in Turkey and worldwide, it is associated with postoperative pain, restricted range of motion (ROM), and reduced muscle strength, leading to prolonged recovery process and return to activities of daily living (ADLs) with impaired QoL . In addition, inadequate patient education on knee care and ADLs following TKR may result in repetitive and uncontrollable movements and complications such as severe pain and dislocation. Postoperative complications have been shown to be associated with rehospitalization and redo surgery.
Many medical interventions, including the dressing of central venous catheters, a common procedure used for children with cancer, cause anxiety and pain in children. This can adversely affect their care and recovery. This study aims to determine the effect of using a kaleidoscope during central venous catheter dressing on anxiety and pain in children with cancer.
