There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Preoperative carbohydrate loading has been shown to reduce pre-operative discomfort and postoperative nausea and vomiting. There is no need for prolonged preoperative fasting of the patients, but the traditional approach still continues especially in thoracic surgery patients. For this purpose, we aimed to evaluate the effect of preoperative carbohydrate loading on postoperative morbidity in the patients.
This trial consists of three parts, Part A, Part B, and Part C, and will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a third booster injection of the multivalent vaccine BNT162b2 (B.1.1.7 + B.1.617.2), and the safety and immunogenicity of a third booster injection of the monovalent vaccine BNT162b2 (B.1.617.2) or BNT162b2 (B.1.1.7), in participants who have received two doses of the parent vaccine BNT162b2 at 30 µg, at least 6 months after the second dose of BNT162b2. It will also evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a three-dose regimen of BNT162b2 (B.1.1.7 + B.1.617.2) in participants who have not received prior Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination. In addition, the safety and immunogenicity of BNT162b2 (B.1.1.529.1) or BNT162b2 given as a third or fourth vaccine dose to RNA COVID-19 vaccine-experienced participants with history of SARS-CoV-2 infection will be evaluated and contrasted with the natural immune response reached after infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant.
90 patients ASA I-III, undergoing Total hip arthroplasty (THA) under spinal anesthesia, will be randomly assigned into one of three groups, namely group A (n=30), where an PENG block, group B (N:30) where an inra-articuler, and group C (n=30) where Quadratus lumborum block will be performed preoperatively. All patients will receive a standardized postoperative analgesia regimen. NRS scores will be evaluated in static and dynamic conditions during the first 48 hours postoperatively.
This study was conducted to determine the effect of acupressure on nausea, vomiting, pain, and sleep quality after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This was a randomized controlled experimental study with a placebo group. The sample comprised 188 patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (control:64; experimental:64; and placebo:60). Acupressure was performed on the experimental and placebo groups with a wristband for 24 hours.
Cardiovascular diseases are among the most common causes of death in kidney transplant patients. Physical activity is of great importance in preventing cardiovascular diseases after transplantation. Although regular physical activity is recommended in international guidelines to prevent post-transplant mortality and morbidity in kidney transplant patients, studies have shown that patients do not follow regular physical activity instructions. The aim of our project is to examine the effect of pedometer-assisted physical activity on metabolic parameters after kidney transplantation.
Background: Needles are the most feared tools, making anaesthetic injection a worrying practice. Aim: To compare intraosseous (IOA) and needle-free dental anaesthesia (NFA) methods that painless anaesthesia. Design: Twenty patients aged 8-10 years were included in this cross-over study. To determine the anxiety levels and pain experienced by the patients, visual and behavior scales were used. The pulse rate (PR) and opiorphin levels (OL) determined. The Friedman and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests were used. p<0.05 was considered significant.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of kangaroo care on physiological weight loss in term newborns.
The aim of this study is to evaluate nedosiran in participants 11 years of age and younger who have Primary Hyperoxaluria with relatively intact renal function.
A physically active life with adequate and balanced nutrition is essential for a healthy life. Unhealthy diet and being physically inactive are among the common risk factors that need to be corrected in order to maintain and improve health. The Mediterranean diet, first described by Angel Keys, is rich in plant foods such as grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, oilseeds and olives; The main source of added oils is olive oil; moderate-high consumption of fish and seafood, moderate-level consumption of eggs, poultry and dairy products, and low-level red meat; It is a nutrition model with moderate intake of wine / fermented beverages (such as turnip, grape juice). Preferring vegetable oils instead of animal fats, preferring fish instead of red meat consumption, preferring low-fat / fat-free milk and dairy products, limiting the intake of simple sugar and refined carbohydrates, fruit rich in fiber and antioxidants in the Mediterranean diet, which is shown as an example of healthy nutrition today. It is thought that this type of nutrition can prevent the formation of chronic diseases due to features such as increasing vegetable consumption. Determining the nutritional status and physical activity levels of individuals and their associated health outcomes; It is very important in terms of determining the current situation and determining the priority problems that need to be solved.
This randomized controlled experimental study is planned in order to determine the effect of gentle human touch on pain, comfort and physiological parameters in preterm infants during heel lancing matched for gestational age, gender and birth weight. The study will be performed with preterm infants hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit of a tertiary hospital. Ethical committee approval, institutional permission, parental written consent were obtained. The therapeutic touch will be applied 10 minutes before the heel lancing, it will continue during and after the procedure, a total of 15 minutes of sensitive touch will be applied. The practitioner will place one hand on the baby's head and the other hand on the lower abdomen covering the waist and hips of the preterm baby for 15 minutes. Before and after the study the following were evaluated in preterm infants in the gentle human touch and control group: pain, comfort and physiological parameters.
