There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of the training provided to hemodialysis patients according to Roy Adaptation Model on fluid management, symptom control, and quality of life. The study was carried out as a randomized controlled trial with the participation of 107 patients (53 experimental, 54 control) The patients in the experimental group were provided with training based on Roy Adaptation Model, and training booklets were handed out.The control group did not attempt any intervention.
Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the most common neurodegenerative movement disorder. The main motor symptoms of PD are tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability. Current treatments of the disease provide control of motor symptoms but do not change its development. Parkinson's patients should receive regular rehabilitation as part of their treatment. Telerehabilitation (TR) practices and studies examining the effectiveness of these practices are needed in order to reduce the impact of the current pandemic period and environmental and personal causes in accessing rehabilitation services. In this thesis, in order to examine the effects of two different TR methods on physical parameters and activities of daily living in Parkinson's patients, Parkinson's patients who are eligible the inclusion criteria will be randomized according to the row of application and divided into 2 groups. Evaluations to determine the functionality, activities of daily living, falling activity, quality of life and fatigue level will be applied both groups. One group will be applied video exercise program prepared individually via TR system, and the other group will receive an exercise brochure via the TR system and patients will be asked to do the exercises 3 days a week for 8 weeks. Then the initial evaluations will be repeated. It is aimed to increase functional capacity, independence in daily living activities and quality of life, and reduce the number of falls and fatigue levels with exercise training to be applied to people with Parkinson's. Investigators think that present study not only will contribute to the field of TR applications in PD, but also will provide access to rehabilitation services and help control symptoms of Parkinson's patients who cannot go to hospital, rehabilitation centers and cannot access rehabilitation services at home. Hypotheses: H0-TR applications have no effect on the level of independence in physical parameters and activities of daily living in individuals with PD. H1-TR applications have positive effects on physical parameters and independence in activities of daily living in individuals with PD.
Study design A single blinded, randomized controlled experimental design was used. The study complied with guidelines outlined under the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) checklist. Sample and Participants The study was carried out in July-December 2021 with the participation of cancer patients who were treated at a university hospital in Istanbul/Turkey. Inclusion criteria; Patients aged 18 and over, volunteering to participate in the study, conscious and without communication problems, who did not take any course or practice (intervention?) on anxiety, tension, depression symptoms and coping with stress were included in the study. Participitants randomised intervention and controlled groups.
Total knee replacement (TDP) surgery is recognized as an effective surgical option for patients who develop moderate to severe osteoarthritis of the knee. Before, during and after TDP surgery, patients experience physical, psychological and social problems. After TDP surgery, patients may experience problems such as dependency and sleep problems in their daily living activities. Patients who have sleep problems, who cannot rest enough, become tired and experience anxiety as a result. It has been stated that the education given to the patients in the preoperative period reduces anxiety and analgesic needs and increases satisfaction. Progressive relaxation exercises in patients It has been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms such as anxiety, pain and fatigue. With the widespread use of mobile technologies, a rapid development is observed in mobile health applications and it is thought that its use in the field of health will provide great benefits to nursing services. This study is of the randomized controlled experimental type. During the application process, a mobile-based training and exercise program will be applied to the patients in the experimental group. As the education content, information about pre- and post-operative information and video-supported training content that will guide the patients with voice commands about the exercises that the patients will do before the surgery will be included in the mobile application. With the implementation of this program, continuity will be ensured by meeting the information needs of the patients before and after the surgery, and by performing progressive relaxation and knee exercises correctly and regularly. With the use of this mobile application, it is aimed to increase the physical functions of the patients by reducing the level of anxiety and fear of movement.
The primary outcome of the study is the first-attempt orotracheal intubation success rate and the secondary outcomes include intubation time, mucosal injury, and complications during intubation.
Background: If disorders that occur immediately after a trauma are not treated, they may become chronic and turn into severe health problems. Objectives: This study was conducted with children who had spent time in an intensive care unit and their parents to examine the development of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in both children and parents. Methods: The study was a cross-sectional study. A total of 110 children, 98 mothers and 80 fathers were included in the study.
Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of the video-assisted operating room promotion program developed for parents on the anxiety level of parents and children. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: The participants (N = 80) will be randomly assigned (1:1) to the intervention and control groups using block randomization. In addition to standard care, a video-assisted operating room promotion program, created by fully addressing the perioperative process, will be applied to the participants assigned to the intervention group. Participants in the control group will only receive standard care. Standard care includes verbal information about the surgical process. The sociodemographic and clinical characteristics, along with the anxiety levels of the children and their parents were measured one day before the operation, and the anxiety levels were again measured on the postoperative first and second day. Discussion: In the literature, it is seen that pediatric surgery personnel can have a beneficial effect in reducing the anxiety of children and their parents. Among these methods, the effectiveness of distraction methods on children's anxiety has also been proven. As for parental anxiety, which can be as important as child anxiety, not enough studies have been done so far, and the existing studies have not been able to come to a decisive conclusion. If parental intervention is found to have positive effects on the child's anxiety in this study are positive, it will contribute to clinical practice and improve clinical outcomes. In this respect, it will fill this gap in the literature. Impact: This research will add to the evidence for the effectiveness of an intervention that provides parents with visual and auditory information about the process prior to child surgery. It will benefit parents who want to support their children in managing this process. It will also support nurses working in pediatric surgery clinics. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of different focusing methods on muscular activity
This project will be conducted with 5-10-year-old children who will undergo an outpatient surgery in Trakya University Health Research and Application Center at Pediatric Surgery Clinic and their parents. It is reported in the literature that technology-based applications and robot use are promising innovations in reducing pain, anxiety, and fear in children. This was the main starting point in the planning of the study. In this study, by using interactive robot, it was aimed to reduce postoperative mobilization anxiety, to increase frequency / duration of the mobilization and to increase parental satisfaction of the children undergoing outpatient surgery.
The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the nurse-supported self-management program on the sustained attention and sleep quality of night shift nurses. The self-management program consists of training and incentives for night shift nurses to gain healthy eating habits and improve their sleep health.
