There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In recent years, motor imagery (MI) and action observation (AO) therapy strategies have been used in rehabilitation programs to increase motor learning in Parkinson's disease (PD). Visuomotor training strategies such as AO and MI therapy rely on the activity of the mirror neuron system to facilitate motor re-learning. Mirror neurons are activated during the performance of goal-directed actions, also when observing the same action and visualizing the action in the mind. The aim of this clinical trial is to test whether the application of AO and MI treatment in PD in addition to conventional rehabilitation programs has an additional effect on Balance, Functional Status and Quality of Life.
This research will be conducted to examine the relationship between the foot postures and fall risks of elderly individuals living in nursing homes, to identify the factors that most affect the risk of falling, and to inform healthcare professionals working on this subject. Factors that may increase the risk of falling will be determined from the biomechanical changes that occur in the foot with age. In addition, the results we obtain will contribute to the database to be created in the future to identify factors affecting the risk of falling.
The goal of this pre-post clinical trial is to compare the amplitude settings of three different frequency TENS modes (Conventional TENS, LF TENS, HF TENS) in patients who had undergone total knee arthroplasty, both with the preoperative state and with the contralateral knee. The main question it aims to answer is: Can the electrical resistance of edematous tissue be affected and change the TENS amplitude setting? Participants will be evaluated before and after surgery. For each TENS modulation the amplitude at which tingling is felt, the current is clearly felt, and is maximum tolerated and/or muscle contraction occurred, will be documented. TENS amplitudes for all three TENS modes will be compared, both with the preoperative state and with the contralateral knee.
Current treatments for pain in MS patients include the use of non-pharmacological interventions such as electrotherapy and exercise, as well as pharmacological treatments. Neurodynamic mobilization exercises are an intervention that aims to restore homeostasis in and around the nervous system by activating the nervous system itself or the structures surrounding the nervous system. Neurodynamic mobilization facilitates movement between neural structures and their environment through manual techniques and exercise. Human and animal studies reveal that neurodynamic mobilization reduces intraneural edema, improves intraneural fluid distribution, reduces thermal and mechanical hyperalgesia, and reverses increased immune responses following a nerve injury.
The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of 3D virtual reality assisted mirror therapy based rehabilitation applications compared to classical methods used in stroke rehabilitation.
Obesity is a significant public health problem. The only long-term effective treatment method is surgery. The most common surgical procedure is laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). However, after LSG, complications such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), insufficient weight loss, stenosis in the remnant stomach, and bleeding or leakage in the staple line (SL) may be encountered. The most severe complications are leakage and bleeding in sleeve gastrectomy, which can lead to many morbidities and mortality. Strengthening the staple line is an important option to prevent these complications. Methods such as fibrin adhesives, bioabsorbable patches and stitching of the stapler line are used to strengthen the stapler line. Nausea and vomiting, which occur in the postoperative period in 40% of patients who have undergone abdominal surgery and constitute a serious problem, are detected at an even higher rate in patients who have undergone bariatric surgery. Additionally, strengthening the staple line with various methods may increase the incidence of nausea and vomiting after LSG. Although there are studies in the literature investigating whether strengthening the staple line with buttress material or suture in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy affects the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting, there is no study investigating the effect of strengthening the staple line with fibrin glue on the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting. This prospective study aims to reveal whether there is a difference between strengthening the staple line with fibrin glue or suture in LSG regarding the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting and its effects on quality of life.
The aim of our study is to examine the effects of balance exercises performed in virtual and real environments on visual-spatial attention and mental rotation in healthy young adult individuals using EEG brain oscillations.
Evaluation of the Efficiency of Propioceptive Study According to Radiological Stages in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Important psychological problems can be experienced after sports injuries such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), these delay physical recovery, affect the quality of rehabilitation and eventually cause problems or re-injuries in the process of returning to sports. The most important of these problems are re-injury anxiety, rehabilitation adherence, rehabilitation self-efficacy problems and kinesiophobia. Although some interventions have been proposed for the solution of these problems, a structured intervention approach has not been put forward yet. With this research project, our aim is to examine the effectiveness of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) protocol (CBT+VR) enriched with the contribution of virtual reality (VR). The research will be conducted with 60 athletes who meet the inclusion criteria. In the study, which is planned as a 4X5 (groupXmeasurement) mixed factorial design model with four groups (intervention1-intervention2-intervention3, control), the athletes will be filled with psychological assessment scales in order to collect the first data within the first week of starting physical therapy after ACL operation. The data obtained will be analyzed with multi-level statistics. Whether the anxiety levels of the athletes increase in the VR environment will be monitored with the biofeedback system, which will provide concrete data as well as subjective scales.
This study is researching an experimental drug called odronextamab, referred to as study drug. The study is focused on patients who have one of two types of cancer: follicular lymphoma (FL) or marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) that has come back after treatment (called "relapsed"), or did not respond to treatment (called "refractory"). FL and MZL are subtypes of Non-Hodgkin 's lymphoma (NHL). This study will be made up of two parts (Part 1 not randomized, Part 2 randomized - controlled). The aim of Part 1 of the study is to see how safe and tolerable the study drug is when used in combination with lenalidomide, in participants with FL or MZL, and to determine the dose of the study drug to be used in Part 2 of this study. This combination is considered "first-in-human" as it has not been tested as a combination treatment in humans before. The aim of Part 2, of the study is to assess how the combination of odronextamab and lenalidomide works compared to the combination of rituximab and lenalidomide, (the current standard-of-care treatment for FL and/or MZL). Standard-of-care means the usual medication expected and used when receiving treatment for a condition. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: - What side effects may happen from taking the study drug in combination with lenalidomide - How much study drug is in your blood at different times - Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the study drug less effective or could lead to side effects) - The impact from the study drug on your quality-of-life and ability to complete routine daily activities
