Schizophrenia is a progressive psychiatric disorder with a lifetime prevalence of 1%, its etiology is not fully understood, and it progresses with relapses. There are significant differences between patients in the age of onset, frequency of attacks, response to treatment, and clinical course of the disease. Failure to respond adequately to treatment is defined as resistance to treatment and poses a great challenge in the clinical management of the disease, but the exact cause of treatment resistance has not been clarified yet. Neurodevelopmental hypothesis, neurodegenerative hypothesis, stress-diathesis hypothesis are some of them. In the neurodegenerative hypothesis, it is thought that biochemical changes cause chronic and progressive disorders of the nervous system, and schizophrenia is considered as one of these disorders. S100B, one of the biomarkers released from the central nervous system, is a glycoprotein synthesized by astrocytes; At low concentration, it ensures neuron survival, while at high concentration it causes neuronal cell apoptosis and is associated with neurodegeneration. GFAP on the other hand, can be measured in serum in proportion to the degree of damage by passing into the bloodstream as a result of astrocyte damage. It has been shown that these markers are associated with neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune diseases and cerebrovascular pathologies and can be measured at a significant level in the blood. As far as is known, neurodegeneration has been found in patients with schizophrenia; however, there are not enough studies in the literature regarding the relationship of this neurodegeneration with treatment response and resistance. In recent years, many biomarker studies related to schizophrenia have been conducted. These studies continue in many different areas such as the early diagnosis of schizophrenia, the treatments to be applied after diagnosis, the response to the treatment given, and the clinical course of the disease, but no biomarker indicating the desired results has yet been found. In this study, measurement of s100B and GFAP serum levels in patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia, remission schizophrenia and healthy controls, and evaluation of their relationship with response to treatment; Thus, it is aimed to investigate these points that have not been fully elucidated in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia and their use as biomarkers in predicting the response to treatment.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is defined as a chronic, progressive degeneration state in the regulation of the fluid-electrolyte balance of the kidney and metabolic-endocrine functions as a result of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) falling below 60 ml/min/1.73 m², regardless of the etiology of the kidney disease. End Stage Renal Failure (ESRD) is the last stage of CRF and is a life-threatening condition. Although the majority of ESRD patients survive on dialysis, their quality of life and functional capacity decrease due to uremic cardiomyopathy, cardiovascular diseases, anemia, diabetes mellitus, bone diseases, deconditioning, fatigue, weakness, inactivity and accompanying psychological problems. Rehabilitation program including exercise in CKD patients; The program, which is performed under observation on non-dialysis days, can be applied in three ways: the (intradialytic) rehabilitation program performed during hemodialysis in the dialysis unit, and the home exercise program. Intradialytic exercise (IDE) is defined as exercise training performed during the hemodialysis session to increase the patient's strength and endurance and thus target various physiological and psychosocial parameters. Three types of exercises are generally recommended in the exercise program for dialysis patients. These are aerobic exercise, strengthening exercise, and combined aerobic and resistance exercise program. Aerobic exercise (both on dialysis and on non-dialysis days) is the most common type of exercise used in hemodialysis patients. It is stated that physical exercise improves the exercise capacity, muscle strength, functional capacity and quality of life of patients receiving dialysis treatment, provides blood pressure control, reduces the risk of diabetes development and cardiovascular disease, alleviates depression and anxiety symptoms, increases survival and dialysis efficiency. When the literature is examined, no study has been found that examines how the application of high-intensity intermittent exercise training, which has very important advantages, in the intradialytic process has an effect. Therefore, the aim of our study is to compare the effects of intradialytic high-intensity intermittent exercise training and moderate-intensity exercise training on dialysis effectiveness, functional capacity and quality of life in hemodialysis patients.
The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to measure the effect of the Persons With Disability Friendly Nursing Education Program developed based on the Story Theory on the empathic tendencies of senior nursing students towards persons with disability and their perceptions of competence of senior nursing students to care for persons with disability. In the research, a multi-stage evaluation design from mixed method research will be used. Focus group interviews will be conducted before and after the program in the qualitative dimension of the research, while the randomized controlled double-blind pretest-posttest control group experimental design will be used in the quantitative dimension. The data of the research will be collected in the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Ondokuz Mayis University in Samsun, Turkey.
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the effects erector spina plane block (ESPB) on postoperative opioid consumption in the first 24 hours and pain scores after colorectal surgery.

This a multicenter, Phase 2b, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to provide data on efficacy and safety of LY3561774 administered subcutaneously at various doses in participants with mixed dyslipidemia and on a stable dose of a statin.
In PENG block technique, the local anesthetic agent is injected between the psoas tendon and the pubic ramus to block the sensory branches of the nerves which innervates the hip capsule for providing analgesia without causing muscle weakness. Since the PENG block is a facial plane block, it causes a volume dependent distribution. There are a few case reposts and cadaveric studies on volume dependent effect of analgesia and motor weakness of PENG block. In our study, we aimed to evaluate the clinical effects of the volume-dependent efficacy of PENG block.
While there are many studies examining the effect of different exercises on spasticity and balance activities in individuals with stroke, no study has been found on the effect of speed-based re-learning training on spasticity and balance activities. In this study, it was aimed to investigate whether the WBV treatment protocol determined has an effect on functional capacity and respiratory functions in individuals with stroke. In this sense, our study was planned to investigate the effect of speed-based motor learning training on spasticity characteristics and balance activities in stroke patients.
Purpose of the research; The aim of this study is to determine the effect of informing patients with video before heart surgery on their intensive care experience."Patient Descriptive Information Form" and "Intensive Care Experience Scale (ICES)" will be used to collect data.In Kavuncu's study, the average score they got from ICES was found to be 57.07±5.6. It was calculated that 45 patients from each group should be included in the study in order to test the 0.6-unit effect size value, which was calculated by accepting a 5% difference from this score in the experimental group, with a 5% margin of error, 95% confidence level and 80% power value. In the study, after the patients admitted to the cardiovascular surgery service for cardiac surgery were informed about the purpose and importance of the study and the research, informed consent will be obtained verbally and in writing from the volunteer patients. In order to ensure randomization of the patients in the study, a randomization plan was prepared for 45 experiments and 45 controls using a probabilistic scheme-based computer program.
