Phase I Study of GN-037 Cream for Psoriasis

In this Phase I study, three different doses (low, medium and high dose, on the basis of surface area applied) of GN-037 cream (12 volunteers in total) and placebo (6 volunteers in total) will be administered to healthy volunteers. In the active dose arm, 4 healthy volunteers will receive GN-037 cream and 2 healthy volunteers will receive placebo. Randomization in each dose arm will be 2:1.

For this reason, obese individuals try various treatment methods in order to get rid of obesity, and in cases where these methods fail, they often prefer bariatric surgery. It is very important that patients who will undergo bariatric surgery can adapt to the anatomical changes in their body and shape their lifestyle accordingly. Otherwise, it is inevitable for patients to face various complications after surgery. After bariatric surgery, a structured training program in the preoperative period is of great importance in order for the patient to adapt to the changes in his body, to prevent the development of possible complications, to be affected by the negativities that may occur due to the current change, and to prepare for the new lifestyle. In this context, the main subject of this research is to enable individuals to gain healthy lifestyle behaviors by providing mobile-based training and consultancy services that enable them to easily access the right information at the desired time and place.

Efficacy of Bi-level ESPB Application in Patients Undergoing VATS

Video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) has become a common procedure in thoracic surgery. Severe postoperative pain may be encountered in patients undergoing VATS. Analgesic methods such as thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB), intercostal block and erector spina plane block (ESPB) are widely used for VATS. Among these methods, ultrasound (US) guided TPVB is the most preferred method. In recent years, the frequency of application of plane blocks as a component of multimodal analgesia has been increased. ESPB is one of them. Although there are publications showing that single-level ESPB applied from the T5 vertebra level spreads in the craniocaudal T3-L2 range, there are also publications stating that the spread is more limited. This study, it was aimed to compare the efficacy of bi-level ESPB application and one-level ESPB application for postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing VATS.

Effect Of Using Oxygen On The Diaper Dermatitis In Infants

Background: Airing the diaper area has a positive effect on dermatitis. In addition, it is reported in the literature that oxygen is effective in wound care. The aim of our study is to investigate the effect of oxygen on infant diaper dermatitis. Method: The study population consisted of infants will admit to the neonatal intensive care unit of a public hospital in Istanbul between October 2022 and April 2023. Sixty newborns who met the study criteria will randomly divide into two as the experimental (n=30) and control (n=30) groups. Personal data form and diaper dermatitis observation form will be used to obtain the data. All babies' diapers will be changed 8 times a day. Oxygen flow will be applied to the experimental group for one hour after each diaper change. The degree of diaper dermatitis will be evaluated every 24 hours.

Investigation of the Effect of Kinesiotape Applied With Exercise on Muscle Oxygenation With Moxy Muscle Oxygen Monitor

Kinesio taping (KT) is an elastic adhesive tape with physiological effects, often used in rehabilitation and sports medicine. KT, which can stay in the body for 3 to 5 days, exerts a pulling force on the skin thanks to its wave-like structure and elasticity, and increases the gap between the subcutaneous soft tissue and fascia with its lifting effect. In this way, it reduces the superficial pressure and causes an increase in lymph circulation. In addition, with the effect it creates on the muscles, it allows maximum contraction and relaxation of the muscle and creates positive effects on the deep lymphatics. Another effective approach to increase blood circulation is exercise. Exercise, which is known to have many benefits, has been shown to increase both systemic circulation and muscle blood flow. There are findings in the literature that KT can increase the effectiveness of exercise, but it has been stated that this issue is not clear and more studies are needed. In order to evaluate the effects of KT on increasing the effectiveness of exercise and on circulation, the oxygen saturation of the muscle in the application area can be measured. As a matter of fact, "Moxy muscle oxygen monitor" has been used in the literature, which measures regional oxygen saturation (SmO2) and total hemoglobin (THb) in capillaries under the muscle. The Moxy muscle oxygen monitor is a lightweight (42 g) and small (dimensions: 61 × 44 × 21 mm) device that measures regional blood flow and oxygenation by placing it on the skin non-invasively with near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Its validity in measuring muscle oxygenation was vigorous or fairly good, and its reliability was found to be moderate to high in low-intensity exercises (SROC: r = 0.842-0.993, ICC: r = 0.773-0.992, p < .01). It is thought that the application of KT, which is known to increase lymphatic and venous circulation, together with exercise will increase the amount of oxygen in the muscles. To the best of our knowledge in the literature, no study has been found in which this effect of KT is presented objectively. For this reason, it is aimed to examine muscle oxygenation with the Moxy muscle oxygen monitor, which provides objective data on KT applied with exercise.
