There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Chronic low back pain, which individuals have difficulty coping with in the modern age and is one of the most common reasons for applying to health institutions, has important consequences for individuals and society. Approximately 80% of individuals experience low back pain throughout their lives, and 10-20% become chronic. Low back pain causes varying degrees of restrictions in individuals' daily living activities, modification or reduction of movements due to pain. This situation causes the pain to continue and causes the functional level to decrease in individuals with low back pain. There are many approaches to the treatment of chronic low back pain, and among these, exercise treatments have been shown to be effective in reducing pain and improving functionality. Spinal stabilization exercises, which have an important place among current exercise approaches for chronic low back pain, ensure the formation of a neutral position in the spine by activating the core muscles consisting of multifidus, transversus abdominis, diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles. Perception of neutral position is provided and applied in daily living activities. In this way, pain is reduced and functionality increases by providing appropriate loading. What kind of changes occur in the core muscles due to the strengthening of the core muscles as a result of spinal stabilization exercises is an important question that needs to be clarified scientifically. It is possible to observe the mechanical changes occurring in the core muscles with shear wave elastography, which has been frequently used in clinical research and practice in recent years. However, in the detailed literature review, no scientific studies were found that evaluated what level of exercise intensity produces optimal changes in the muscle and the correlation of these changes with pain and functional improvement. In this study, where different intensities of exercise will be applied, the mechanical changes occurring in the core muscles before and after exercise will be evaluated with shear wave elastography and the aim is to evaluate the correlation of these changes with pain and pain
Congenital muscular torticollis (CMT) is the third most common musculoskeletal disorder of infancy, affecting 3.9% to 16% of infants. It develops due to unilateral shortening of the SCM, whether or not there is a mass in the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM). CMT is characterized by lateral flexion of the affected SCM to the ipsilateral side and rotation to the contralateral side. Its etiology is not fully known. However, it can be associated with SCM disorder that develops due to birth trauma, prenatal/perinatal compartment syndrome and intrauterine restriction. It has been reported that conditions such as multiple pregnancy, intrauterine stenosis, vascular causes, fibrosis of the peripartum bleeding area, use of forceps at birth, difficult birth, and primary myopathy of SCM increase the possibility of CMT. It is necessary to approach babies diagnosed with CMT with an effective treatment program. The most important and effective of these approaches is to provide the necessary education and an intensive home program to their families, with whom they spend most of their days. By educating the family, on the one hand, the baby will receive regular treatment and the family's communication with the baby will be strengthened, while on the other hand, limitations such as transportation, time and cost will be eliminated. In our study; It was aimed to examine the effectiveness of the home program given in cooperation with the family in babies diagnosed with CMT and to create a new protocol.
This is a parallel group, Phase 3, multinational, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, 3-arm study for treatment of participants diagnosed with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) with a history of inadequate response of topical treatment, on background topical corticosteroid (TCS) and/or topical calcineurin inhibitor (TCI). The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of treatment with amlitelimab solution for subcutaneous (SC) injection compared with placebo in participants with moderate to severe AD aged 12 years and older on background TCS and/or TCI. Study details include: At the end of the treatment period, participants will have an option to enter a separate study: the blinded extension study EFC17600 (ESTUARY). For participants not entering the blinded extension Study EFC17600 (ESTUARY), the study duration will be up to 44 weeks including a 2 to 4-week screening, a 24-week randomized double-blind period, and a 16-week safety follow-up. For participants entering the blinded extension Study EFC17600 (ESTUARY), the study duration will be up to 28 weeks including a 2 to 4-week screening and a 24-week randomized double-blind period. The total treatment duration will be up to 24 weeks. The total number of visits will be up to 10 visits (or 9 visits for those entering the blinded extension study EFC17600 (ESTUARY).
The aim of this observational study was to obtain information about the change in the burden of care of parents of children with cerebral palsy after hip and knee surgeries. The main questions it aims to answer are: Q1-Does caregiver burden change after hip and knee surgeries? Q2-If so, which factors contribute more positively to this situation? Participants will be asked to answer the scales given to them periodically before and after the surgery.
The aim of this study was to randomize stroke patients with unilateral neglect into 2 groups, active and sham groups, and to examine the effects of active inhibitory repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the reduction of neglect symptoms, functional recovery and independence of these patients in activities of daily living.
The aim is to reveal to what extent cervical core exercises affect the results of treatment in patients with Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction caused by Myofascial pain syndrome. Randomization will be carried out by dividing individuals who agree to participate in the study into 3 groups of 20 people.Participants will be divided into three groups, and all three groups will receive treatment in 30-45 minute sessions a day, 2 days a week for 8 weeks.
This study was planned to determine the effect of music listened to during mammography screening on pain, anxiety and satisfaction.
Subcutaneous (SC) injection applications are the process of administering the drug to the loose connective tissue under the skin and is one of the most frequently applied parenteral drug administration methods among nursing practices. SC injections, which are frequently performed by nurses, often result in complications such as hematoma, ecchymosis and pain at the injection site. Although the field of healthcare is developing day by day, injection applications can still be painful and uncomfortable. These procedures increase the individual's stress levels before the procedure, causing them to experience fear and anxiety and reducing patient satisfaction. This may cause the application to fail or be repeated. Many nonpharmacological methods are applied to prevent or reduce these local side effects in subcutaneous injection applications. Cold application is accepted as an effective and easy-to-use method for SC injection. Cold application may also constrict peripheral blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the tissue and thus preventing ecchymosis. When the national and international literature is examined, there are studies using cold application to reduce pain and ecchymosis due to SC injection in adults. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of cold injection, which is considered an alternative to cold therapy, in reducing pain and ecchymosis due to SC injection application. No study has been found in the literature evaluating the effectiveness of cold injection in preventing pain and ecchymosis due to SC injection application. Therefore, it is thought that this study will make a significant contribution to the literature and create a simple, comfortable and cost-free innovation. Preparation and use of cold injection is simple, easy and comfortable. It is anticipated that patients will be able to easily follow the procedure steps during the procedure. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effect of the cooled needle on the development of pain and ecchymosis in SC injection application in adults.
Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia that occurs as a result of any disorder in insulin secretion or insulin activity. Regular physical activity is important in preventing and managing this disease.
