The aim of this study is to examine the impact of "Funny Scenario-Based Learning and Mind Mapping Methods" on undergraduate students' motivation to learn medical terminology. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of the specified methods in enhancing the English learning motivation of undergraduate students.
Pregnant women feel severe pain during normal birth and in the postpartum period. Preventing pain during and after birth is very important for both the mother and the baby. Rapid recovery in the postoperative period in pregnant women is very important for both mother and baby. To evaluate this recovery, the quality of recovery-10 scores developed by Shalev et al. are used in pregnant women. Our study will be the first in the literature to use sacral erectör spinae plane block (S-ESPB) in normal birth. Our primary aim in this study is to evaluate the effects of S-ESPB on the quality of recovery and recovery at the 24th hour in pregnant women who will undergo vaginal birth with epidural analgesia, using the Quality of Recovery-10T scores.
Pressure wound (PW) is generally defined as localized damage to the skin and subcutaneous soft tissue on a bone protrusion or caused by medical devices. Infrared thermography is used in the physiological and anatomical assessment of skin and subcutaneous tissue abnormalities and in detecting pressure injuries by measuring temperature changes caused by circulatory problems.The aim of the researchers is to compare the development of PW in patients admitted to intensive care by imaging the skin temperature in pressure areas using the traditional method and an infrared camera.
Smoking cessation support for patients with rheumatologist diseases is an underestimated issue. In the previous prospective cohort study the investigators determined that with the brief cessation interventions 63.5% of smokers with rheumatologic diseases were willing to quit and the rest 36.4% were not willing. Among the willing group the highest quit rate was detected in the group that admitted to smoking cessation clinic. Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has become a standard procedure in both minor and major lung surgeries in thoracic surgery operations. Although postoperative pain in patients undergoing VATS is not as severe as that seen after thoracotomy, it still occurs. This, in turn, affects postoperative pulmonary complications and patients' lengths of hospital stay. Thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) is still considered the gold standard in the treatment of postoperative pain. However, due to side effects such as post-procedural hypotension, urinary retention, or nausea/vomiting, alternative analgesic methods such as thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB), intercostal block, serratus anterior plane block (SAPB), erector spinae plane block (ESPB), and serratus posterior superior intercostal plane block (SPSIPB) are being considered instead of epidural analgesia. Among these methods, TPVB performed under ultrasound guidance is already a commonly preferred and classical method. In patients undergoing thoracotomy and VATS, Tulgar and colleagues have defined SPSIPB as a new technique and demonstrated its efficacy in providing analgesia in the hemithorax when considering the sensory dermatome of SPSIPB in a cadaveric and a case series study with five patients conducted in 2023. Similarly, Avcı and colleagues, in their article published in 2023, emphasized the analgesic effectiveness of SPSIPB in the thoracic region after VATS. As far as we know, there is no published study comparing TPVB and SPSIPB under ultrasound guidance to date. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare ultrasound-guided TPVB and SPSIPB in postoperative analgesia after VATS. Our primary goal is to investigate whether there are any superiority in terms of postoperative Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) score, time to first rescue analgesia, opioid consumption, postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) score, and complications, and to determine which one is more effective.

In our study, changes in vastus lateralis muscle oxygenation will be evaluated with the Moxy device, a functional infrared oxygen measurement device, during the inspiratory muscle fatigue protocol in COPD cases and the healthy control group.
The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate post-operative pain (PEP) in teeth with symptomatic pulpitis following Vital Pulpotomy Treatments (VPT) with Calcium Silicate Cement (CSC). The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is the post-operative pain one week after VPT significantly lower than pre-operative pain in permanent molars with symptomatic pulpitis? - How does post-operative pain in these teeth correlate with patient-related factors, such as age, gender, and painkiller intake? Participants will: - Undergo Vital Pulpotomy Treatment with Calcium Silicate Cement (MTA) - Provide pain level assessments before VPT, immediately post-treatment, and at 24, 72 hours, and 1 week after treatment. If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare the post-operative pain levels in teeth with symptomatic pulpitis undergoing VPT to assess its effectiveness in reducing pain compared to a control group not undergoing the treatment.
There are no studies in the literature reporting the posture, chest mobility, dyspnea, flexibility, quality of life and physical activity levels of emergency call center employees. The aims of this observational study are; 1) to evaluate posture, chest mobility, strength, dyspnea, flexibility, musculoskeletal disorders, physical activity and quality of life in emergency call center workers and office workers, 2) to reveal the relationships between these parameters of both research groups and 3) The aim is to compare these measurement parameters in emergency call center workers and office workers.
