NCT ID: NCT05757895 Completed - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Investigation of Trunk Control in Spatic Cerebral Palsy

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Cerebral Palsy is a disease characterized by movement, posture and tone disorders that occur in the immature brain structure that has not yet completed its development anatomically and physically, but can undergo permanent changes. Although the prevalence is 2-3/1000 births, this rate is 4.4/1000 births in our country. As the level of development of the country increases, this rate decreases. Cerebral Palsy is clinically classified according to different criteria and types. While the terms hemiplegia, diplegia, tetraplegia are used according to limb involvement, terms such as spastic, ataxic, dyskinetic, hypotonic are used in classification according to dominant tone disorders. Postural control, which plays a key role in the realization of all our fine and gross motor skills and is necessary for the realization of our daily life activities, is insufficient in children with cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder. Insufficient postural control negatively affects mobility, limb movements, static and dynamic trunk control. When the literature is scanned and trunk postural control more of the physical/motor, we investigated the effect of parameters, which are fundamental for the realization of motor body control functions/is not emphasized enough in postural control, within the framework of the ICF activity and participation and the effects on their quality of life has not been sufficiently studied to be a gap in this area, physical/motor control parameters has a significant influence on the body, which is quite activity, participation and quality of life was significantly etkileyecebi it was assumed that their level. In our study, the 6-12 age group was selected because children with Cerebral Palsy at the primary school level have started to become independent from their parents in their daily life activities and have recently adapted to social activities. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of trunk disorder level on activity, participation and quality of life levels of children with Cerebral Palsy at primary school level.

NCT ID: NCT05757570 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Immune Thrombocytopenia

An Open-label Study of Povetacicept in Subjects With Autoimmune Cytopenias

RUBY-4
Start date: July 3, 2023
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical study is to evaluate povetacicept in adults with autoimmune cytopenias of immune thrombocytopenia, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, and cold agglutinin disease to determine if povetacicept is safe and potentially beneficial in treating these diseases. During the study treatment period participants will receive povetacicept approximately every 4 weeks for 6 months, with the possibility of participating in a 6-month study treatment extension period.

NCT ID: NCT05757375 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Ankle Instability

Mulligan Ankle Taping on Volleyball Players

Start date: January 22, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

34 volunteer professional volleyball players with (n=12) and without (n=22) CAI will include in the study. Mulligan ankle taping will apply. Measurements will take before and after the intervention. Muscle tone, stiffness, and elasticity will measure with MyotonPRO hand-held device. The static balance will measure with single leg stance test(SLST) while the eyes-closed, dynamic balance will measure with the Y balance test(YBT). Single leg hopping test(SLHT) will evaluate performance and an active position sense test will use for JPS. During the static and dynamic balance and performance tests, the ankle's confidence will be evaluated with the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). The study aimed to determine the effect of Mulligan fibular taping over the Tibialis Anterior(TA), Peroneus Longus(PL), Gastrocnemius Lateralis(GCL), and Medialis(GCM) muscles on muscle tone, stiffness, elasticity, as well as the performance, joint position sense(JPS), static and dynamic balance in female volleyball players with and without chronic ankle instability(CAI).

NCT ID: NCT05757362 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Development, Consensus

Development of Compliance Questionnaire for Home Exercise Program

Start date: April 24, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Exercise is a valuable basic treatment method in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. However, the effectiveness of exercise therapy requires the individual to be attentive, compliant, and disciplined. Therefore, it is important to examine the factors that may affect compliance with exercise. The main aim of this study is to develop a questionnaire that can describe individuals' compliance with participation in a home exercise program using the Delphi method and then analyze the psychometric validity and reliability of this questionnaire. The value that the evaluation questionnaire planned to be obtained at the end of such a study will add to exercise science, which is one of the most powerful treatment elements of physiotherapy and rehabilitation discipline, is important.

NCT ID: NCT05757115 Completed - Play and Playthings Clinical Trials

Evaluation and Development of Playing Skills for Parents With Children With Special Needs

Start date: June 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Children with special needs; experiences physical, behavioral, social, cognitive and emotional limitations. These limitations affect the child's play skills. They need to be supported and encouraged by their parents to enable them to participate in the game. Parental playing skills creativity, self-efficacy and active participation are important factors in this regard. In current studies, parents with special needs children; It is supported that there is a relationship between play, acting and parental self-efficacy. In this study, it was aimed to improve the skills of parents with special needs children to play games with their children multidimensionally and to develop these skills with individual-specific techniques. Detailed assessments will be carried out in order to determine the functional, cognitive and psychosocial skills of the parents. After the evaluation phase is completed, the scores of each parent will be analyzed and interpreted according to Occupational Therapy Models. Playing training will be given individually according to parameters such as strong and weak features, strong sensory system, personality traits, predisposition and defensive approaches.

NCT ID: NCT05757063 Completed - Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Impact of Two Different Types of Sedation on ICEB

Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The QT interval is a measure of the combination of cardiac depolarization and repolarization as it encompasses both the QRS complex and the J-T interval. QT, QTc, QTd prolongation or shortening has been associated with ventricular arrhythmias . In order to define non-torsogenic drug-induced arrhythmias, the index of cardio-electrophysiological balance (iCEB), which is a new marker calculated with the QT/QRS formula, has been defined. In our study, we planned to evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine and propofol on cardiac electrophysiology with all these parameters, especially the newly defined iCEB.
