Clinical Comparison of Different Flowable Resin Composites

Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate a self-adhesive flowable resin composite, a flowable resin composite with high viscosity and a conventional flowable resin composite in combination with a universal adhesive using two different application modes. All patients will receive at least 4 occlusal restorations. Cavities will be divided into four groups according to restorative systems used: Constic (a self-adhering flowable composite), G-ænial Universal Flo (a highly filled flowable composite), Tetric N-Flow (self-etch) (a conventional flowable composite), Tetrin N-Flow (etch&rinse).

NCT ID: NCT04323319 Completed - Clinical trials for Plantar Fasciitis, Chronic

Comparions the Effect of Different Treatment Modalities on Chronic Plantar Fasiitis

Start date: December 27, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain affecting about 20% of the general population. The basic treatment of plantar fasciitis is conservative. Approximately 85-90% of plantar fasciitis patients can be successfully treated without surgery. Methods include resting, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, stretching, shoe orthotics, corticosteroid injections, physical therapy, night splints, and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and ultrasound therapy. Plantar fasciitis treatment is a chronic treatment that has been clearly described in the literature despite the use of treatment modalities. In the literature, treatment modalities which should be used respectively in the treatment of plantar fasciitis are expressed. Nevertheless, it is a chronic disease caused by skipping the treatment steps for various reasons or applying the treatments in the wrong hierarchy. The aim of this project is to compare the effects of stretching exercises, ESWT and instrument-assisted myofascial relaxation technique (Graston Technique®) in the treatment of chronic plantar fasciitis in terms of pain, disability level, quality of life and static and dynamic plantar pressure analysis.

NCT ID: NCT04323241 Completed - Clinical trials for Cesarean Section Complications

Association of Placenta Removal Method and Postpartum Leucocytosis

Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Cesarean delivery is one of the most common major abdominal operation in women worldwide. The incidence of postpartum infection has been estimated to be 1-4% after vaginal delivery and 10-20% after Cesarean delivery. Although it is widely performed, manual removal of the placenta is still a conflicting issue due to the risk of post-partum endometritis. All cesarean patients are randomized according to the removal of placenta from the uterus after childbirth; manually (Group 1) or controlled cord traction without putting fingers inside the uterus (Group 2). The aim of this study is to examine whether there is an association between the method of removal of the placenta and postpartum white blood cell increase in nonanemic, singleton, low-risk group of women with term pregnancies, who underwent elective cesarean delivery under general anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT04321564 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Comparison of Beck Depression Score in Multipar and Nulliparous Women Who Have Gone Under Dilatation and Curettage

Start date: January 20, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is aimed to compare the beck depression and anxiety values of the nulliparous and multipar pregnant women who undergo optional abortion below 12 weeks and to evaluate the effect of the parity on depression and anxiety.

NCT ID: NCT04320641 Completed - Nursing Caries Clinical Trials

The Effect of Acupressure and Yoga on Premenstrual Symptoms and Quality of Life

Start date: February 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The research was carried out to determine the effect of acupressure and yoga applied to cope with PMS on premenstrual symptoms and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04320498 Completed - PRP Clinical Trials

Short Term Results of Platelet-rich Plasma in the Treatment of Chronic Anal Fissure

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Autologous PRP currently has many uses in surgical and medical therapy. Compared with other regenerative therapies, PRP is easy-to-prepare, low-cost, and does not require complex equipment. The use of autologous PRP avoids immunological side effects. Data is lacking on the use of PRP in the treatment of anal fissure. This study evaluated PRP as an alternative medical treatment for chronic anal fissures.

NCT ID: NCT04320459 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Alexithymia in Ankylosing Spondylitis

Start date: February 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study included 55 patients having Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) for at least 1 year diagnosed according to the ASAS classification criteria who presented to our hospital's outpatient clinic and 55 healthy subjects. Demographic data were recorded for 55 AS patients who were subsequently assessed using the BASMI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index) in terms of elasticity and spinal mobility as well as the BASFI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index) to determine functional status, the BASDAI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index) to assess the disease activity and the ASQoL (Ankylosing Spondylitis Quality of Life Questionnaire) to evaluate quality of life. The Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 (TAS-20) was used for assessment of alexithymia and Beck's Depression Inventory (BDI) for depression among patients.

NCT ID: NCT04319250 Completed - Shoulder Pain Clinical Trials

The Effectiveness Of Ischemic Compression And IASTM In Trigger Point Treatment In Patients With Rotator Cuff Tear

Start date: February 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of ischemic compression and IASTM techniques on pain, EHA, functionality, anxiety and depression in patients with the diagnosis of RM tear and presence of ATN. In addition, ischemic compression and EDYDM methods were aimed to compare and to reveal which application would be more useful.

NCT ID: NCT04319211 Not yet recruiting - Healthy People Clinical Trials

Effects of Social Isolation From Coronavirus; on Physical Activity, Quality of Life and Stress

COVID-19
Start date: March 25, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of our study is to investigate the physical activity, quality of life and stress levels of individuals living in their homes isolated due to coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The last three sections of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) will be used to evaluate the current physical activity level of the participants. Parameters such as housework, home care and family care, rest, sports and leisure physical activities, sitting time will be evaluated. Short Form 12 (Short Form12- SF12) quality of life scale will be used to evaluate health-related quality of life. Beck Depression Scale will be applied to investigate the stress levels of the individuals participating in our study.

NCT ID: NCT04318184 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Effects of Exercise on Metabolic Parameters in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: January 2, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Diabetes is considered an epidemic disease with the 463 million affected patients (between 20-79 years) and it is estimated that 578 million people will have diabetes by 2030 [1]. According to The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) reports, 4,2 million adults were considered to die due to diabetes and its complications in 2019. Because of this situation, diabetes treatment is so important. The recommendations for the treatment of DM include medications and lifestyle management, which includes physical activity (PA), medical nutrition therapy, smoking cessation counseling, and psychosocial care. PA is an important aspect of management that directly under the control of the patients. So the investigators want to interrogate the effect of exercise on blood parameters, blood pressure, body compositions.
