NCT ID: NCT04330274 Completed - Balance Clinical Trials

Comparison of Different Amputation Levels

Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Lower limb amputation is a factor that changes the individual's weight transfer, gait pattern, and trunk balance. This change plantar pressure distribution of both side and cause a series of problems to be exposed over time according to level of amputation. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between amputation level-postural balance and amputation level-plantar pressure distribution.

NCT ID: NCT04328558 Withdrawn - Clavicle Fracture Clinical Trials

Clavipectoral Fascia Plane Block for Clavicle Surgery

Start date: April 22, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The pain after clavicle fracture surgery may be managed with combined superficial cervical plexus-interscalene block and recently clavipectoral fascia plane block (CPB). CPB was defined by Valdes in 2017 firstly. It may be used for postoperative analgesia after clavicle surgery. CPB may be an alternative to interscalene brachial plexus block. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the US-guided CPB for postoperative analgesia management compare to no intervention control group after clavicle surgery. The primary aim is to compare postoperative opioid consumption and the secondary aim is to evaluate postoperative pain scores (VAS), adverse effects related with opioids (allergic reaction, nausea, vomiting).

NCT ID: NCT04328519 Completed - Emergency Medicine Clinical Trials

The Charlson Comorbidity Index: Predicting Severity in Emergency Departments

Charlson
Start date: October 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Objective: The Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) is a comorbidity scale used widely throughout the world. It uses patients' preoperative and intraoperative morbidity factors to evaluate morbidity and mortality risk. Though the CCI has widespread use, it has not been evaluated in patients attending at ES, and its relationship with patient readmission has not been shown previously. In this study, we aimed to show whether there is a correlation between the CCI value and the number of repeated admissions to emergency services and that the CCI value can be used as a predicted factor for the serious patients. Matherials and Methods: This was a prospective observational cross-sectional study. Age, gender, vital signs of the patients who agreed to participate in the study was recorded. Numbers of emergency service applications in the last 6 months and CCI score have been recorded.

NCT ID: NCT04328155 Recruiting - Flexibility Clinical Trials

Effects of Different Electrophysical Agents in Hamstring Muscles Flexibility of Healthy Individuals

Start date: April 22, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Sixty healthy individuals will be randomised into four groups. Group I (15 subjects) will be applied hotpacks, Group II (15 subjects) will be applied infrared, Group III will be applied ultrasound to hamstring muscles for 18 sessions 3 times per week and the subjects will do hamstring self stretching exercise 3 times for 15 seconds. Group IV will only do self stretching exercises. Outcome measures are Range of Motion and hamstring flexibility. Measurements will record before and after the end of the treatment.

NCT ID: NCT04327531 Completed - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Covid 19 Knowledge Anxiety and Expectation Levels of Turkish Physicians, Survey Study

Start date: March 26, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is aimed to measure the general health information of Turkish physicians about covid 19 pandemic, to evaluate anxiety levels and to evaluate future expectations in this period.

NCT ID: NCT04326725 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronavirus Infection

Proflaxis Using Hydroxychloroquine Plus Vitamins-Zinc During COVID-19 Pandemia

Start date: March 20, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Healthcare professionals mainly doctors, nurses and their first degree relatives (spouse, father, mother, sister, brother, child) who have been started hydroxychloroquine(plaquenil) 200mg single dose repeated every three weeks plus vitaminC including zinc once a day were included in the study. Study has conducted on 20th of march. Main purpose of the study was to cover participants those who are facing or treating COVID19 infected patients in Ankara.

NCT ID: NCT04326712 Active, not recruiting - Transtibial Amputee Clinical Trials

The Effect of Different Measurement-manufacturing Techniques on Load Distribution in Amputees

Start date: September 6, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Alignment of the prosthesis with the stump is performed through the socket. Good socket stump fit provides near-normal posture and weight-transfer pattern. It also ensures that the walk is painless and low-energy. Recently, studies have been carried out to use 3D printers in socket production. 3D method is accepted as an effective and reliable method in prosthetic socket production. The purpose of this study is to compare the pressures distrubution in the sockets produced by conventional and 3D scanners and printers in the transtibial amputee.

NCT ID: NCT04324827 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Acute Effect of Myofascial Release Techniques and Dynamic Stretch on Vertical Jump Performance in Recreationally Active Individuals

Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Fascia is a connective tissue that contains a large amount of water and contains blood vessels, nerves that surround the muscles and connect the various structures of the body. In the event of an injury, the fascia has to cause some limitations to reduce muscle spasms, neuromuscular changes and pain. In order to achieve this, it can adhere to muscles and other body structures. In the physically active population, these facial adhesions may cause a decrease in performance over time, while the body heals itself after mechanical stresses and injuries. It is remarkable that various facial techniques are tried and compared with each other in order to increase performance. The most noteworthy of these techniques is foam roller (FR) and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). As well as myofascial techniques, a preferred and highly studied method for performance improvement, especially before competitions, is dynamic stretching. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of these three techniques on vertical jump performance and their advantages over each other.

NCT ID: NCT04324788 Completed - Clinical trials for Stair up and Down, Amputation

Investigation of the Effect of Stair Activity on Lumbal Paravertebral Mechanical Properties in Amputes.

Start date: February 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

With the onset of prosthesis use following lower extremity amputations, body shows biomechanical changes according to the amputation level and consequently develops adaptation mechanisms both on the healthy and ampute side. Adaptations in the lumbo-pelvic and lower lumbar regions cause asymmetries in the muscle tissue by causing changes in the morphological structure of the muscle, especially in the muscles of the waist, hip and knee and recruitment. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of stairing up and down activity on the mechanical properties of lumbal paravertebral muscles in TFA and TTA and its relation with lower lumbar region pain.

NCT ID: NCT04324242 Recruiting - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

Activating Transversus Abdominis Muscle

Start date: April 13, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Transversus abdominis (TrA) is an important muscle for spinal stabilization. Abdominal draw-in maneuver (ADIM) is a method that selectively activates TrA without activating external oblique (EO) and internal oblique (IO) muscles. Individuals with low back pain may have some troubles to understand proper contraction of TrA. Therefore, to contract the TrA, two different feedback techniques have been used to instruct. In this observational study we aim to investigate the effects of two different biofeedback methods to teach patients the proper activation of TrA muscle using ADIM. We aim to find out the differences between visual and traditional tactile biofeedback and decide which one is practical and easy to teach the patients in clinical environment.
