NCT ID: NCT02597933 Completed - Clinical trials for Scleroderma, Systemic

A Trial to Compare Nintedanib With Placebo for Patients With Scleroderma Related Lung Fibrosis

Start date: November 12, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) is a devastating disease of unknown etiology. Patients suffer from multiple organ fibrosis whereas lung fibrosis (interstitial lung disease, ILD) is one of the main driver for mortality. There is preclinical evidence for efficacy of nintedanib in SSc and associated ILD (SSc-ILD) and the anti-fibrotic efficacy of nintedanib was proven in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients, who are presenting a similar pattern regarding lung fibrosis. Hence it is the purpose of the trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of nintedanib 150 mg bid in treating patients with SSc-ILD, compared with placebo. The trial will be conducted as a double blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial with primary efficacy evaluation at week 52 and placebo-controlled treatment until last patient out (up to a maximum of 100 weeks). Respiratory function is globally accepted for assessment of treatment effects in patients with lung fibrosis. The chosen endpoint (Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) decline) is easy to obtain and is part of the usual examinations done in patients with SSc-ILD.

NCT ID: NCT02596230 Completed - Clinical trials for Venous Thromboembolism

RE-COVERY DVT/PE: Global Study on Treatment Secondary Prevention of Acute Venous Thromboembolism

Start date: November 5, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

RE-COVERY is a large, multi-national, multi-center observational study based on new data collection. The study will enroll and characterize patients within 30 days of being diagnosed with an acute DVT and/or PE. The study has two main objectives. Objective 1 will characterize the DVT / PE patient population. All patients with a DVT and/or PE will be enrolled for cross-sectional characterization of the VTE patient population. Objective 2 will compare the safety and effectiveness of dabigatran etexilate regimens for treatment of VTE in comparison to VKA regimens. Patients treated with dabigatran etexilate or VKA will be followed up for the occurrence of outcome events for up to one year.

NCT ID: NCT02595814 Terminated - Acute Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Global Non-interventional Heart Failure Disease Registry

REPORT-HF
Start date: July 23, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The clinical characteristics, initial presentation, management, and outcomes of patients hospitalized with new-onset (first diagnosis) heart failure (HF) or decompensation of chronic HF are poorly understood worldwide. REPORT-HF is a global, prospective, and observational HF disease registry designed to characterize patient trajectories longitudinally during and following an index hospitalization for acute HF.

NCT ID: NCT02594579 Not yet recruiting - Critical Illness Clinical Trials

Effect of Vitamin D3 Supplementation on Muscle Mass in ICU Patient

Start date: October 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A randomized double blind placebo control trial study will be conducted in critically ill patients with vitamin D deficiency. Investigator aimed to study the effect of oral vitamin D3 supplementation, compare to placebo, on skeletal muscle mass and body composition.

NCT ID: NCT02591420 Completed - HIV Infections Clinical Trials

Safety and Virologic Effect of a Human Monoclonal Antibody (VRC01) Administered Intravenously to Adults During Early Acute HIV Infection

Start date: April 2016
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the safety and virologic effect of an experimental human monoclonal antibody (mAb), VRC-HIVMAB060-00-AB (VRC01), alone or in combination with antiretroviral therapy (ART), in adults during early acute HIV infection.

NCT ID: NCT02590991 Completed - Clinical trials for Caesarean Section Born Children

Follow-up Study to Investigate Long Term Effect of Supplementing Pre- and Probiotics in Children Born by C-Section

Start date: November 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study investigate the long term effect of supplementation of pre- and probiotics in early life in children born by Caesarean Section.

NCT ID: NCT02588833 Completed - Clinical trials for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria

Pilot Study to Assess Safety, Preliminary Efficacy and Pharmacokinetics of S.C. Pegcetacoplan (APL-2) in PNH Subjects.

PADDOCK
Start date: December 1, 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The objectives of the study are to assess the safety, tolerability, preliminary efficacy and PK of multiple subcutaneous (SC) doses of pegcetacoplan in subjects with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) who have not received treatment with eculizumab in the past. An exploratory objective of the study is to assess the pharmacodynamics (PD) of multiple SC doses of pegcetacoplan when administered to PNH patients.

NCT ID: NCT02588261 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

A Study of ASP8273 vs. Erlotinib or Gefitinib in First-line Treatment of Patients With Stage IIIB/IV Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Tumors With EGFR Activating Mutations

SOLAR
Start date: February 11, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the progression free survival (PFS), based on independent radiologic review (IRR), of ASP8273 compared to erlotinib or gefitinib in patients with locally advanced, metastatic or unresectable stage IIIB/IV adenocarcinoma non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) activating mutations. This study also assessed Overall survival (OS); Overall response rate (ORR) as assessed by IRR; PFS as assessed by the investigator; Disease control rate (DCR) as assessed by IRR; Duration of Response (DOR) by IRR; Safety of ASP8273; and Quality of Life (QOL) and patient-reported outcome (PRO) parameters.
